Established in 2006.

Massage Envy-​Capitol Hill is part of the Massage Evny Franchise of over 700 clinics located across the US and 21 clinics in the greater Puget Sound area.

We are a membership based business — meaning if you choose to become a member, you can enjoy your massage benefits, while your travel, at any clinic in our chain. While our member benefits are great you can also choose to use our affordable professional massage services as a non-​member at at prices substantially below most spa/​salon prices.

Our clinic employs over 22 professional licensed therapists. Each therapist specializes in their own unique style of massage. (we do not have a «Massage Envy» massage method.) This allows us the unique opportunity for us to match several therapists withyour preferences and needs.

I just finished my hour and a half massage with Jacob and it was amazing! It was everything I could ask for in a massage. He listened to what I had to say and he constantly made sure that I was comfortable. I wish Jacob was at my clinic in California! The front desk associates were very friendly, helpful and inviting. Overall an awesome experience. I will definitely make another appt. when I’m back in Seattle

I had a terrible time with my first appointment, but i figured I would update the experience after going in for my appointment two weeks later. I met with Rey and he was great! I’ve been to a lot of different specialists and he did an incredible job; he almost saved me from never wanting to go back again, but I think I will stick with my usual place. I would recommend going to rey if you are interested in trying this place out, but I’m still uncertain about their front desk

I’ve been looking for a great masseuse for a long time. I was thinking that being member of this spa was a mistake until I met Mireille. She is the best masseuse I have met in the U.S. She has great skill with deep tissue massage and prenatal massage. Also, most of masseuses only give about 75 – 80 minute massages instead of a «90 minute massage». She always give me wonderful service and an actual 90 minute massage. I really appreciate her professionalism — with Mireille every penny is worth it. I had at least 4 – 5 masseuses before her, including different locations, but haven’t met anyone better than her.

If I was just rating Jacob I’d give 5 stars, he is my favorite therapist… ever, he’s amazing! Unfortunately the customer service is horrible. They called to say they had to cancel the day of my appt. I was frustrated that someone else couldn’t see me and expressed my frustration to the gal on the phone. She had a manager call me back and I felt that she was basically hostile. I hadn’t asked for a call or anything specific as there was nothing they could do to get me in that day. She pointed out that I had received 3 free massages in the past, all from other times they cancelled. I have never asked for anything free… in fact I would pay double for Jacob. It was a weird conversation. I feel that they should have a back up therapist for when people are sick or injured. She said they had lots of clients and just couldn’t do that… clearly I wasn’t important. I declined the 30 min free massage as that’s not the point. I am happy to pay twice monthly, I just don’t need to be lectured by a manger when they cancelled on me! Love Jacob though! I won’t be back, hopefully he goes somewhere else and I can see him again.

I’ve been a member here for a few years, and I should finally let everyone else in on the secret. Massage Envy Cap Hill is wonderful!
This location is a blissful oasis set in a bustling neighborhood. The receptionists will immediately help relax you with their calm and smiling personalities. Next is the waiting area, and I’m always reminded that I should have shown up earlier because I could hang out there for awhile. It’s so peaceful. Always right on time, your masseuse will greet you and you’ll travel down the dark hallway to your room where you lay down on a heated bed with a heavy sheet and blanket like you’re in a cocoon. And then the masseuse does his/​her magic. At the end, they always say, «Take your time», and one of these days, I’m going to hold them to their word. I could stay there forever.
Over the years, I’ve tried about 6 masseuses, and have found three that are perfect for me — Carly, Gina, and Heidi. I go for medium pressure Swedish style massages, but I’m also a runner, so I like them to add additional pressure to my legs after a long run. They’re amazing!
This is a national chain, not a boutique spa, so don’t expect tea and crumpets. This place is great for always having appointments available in the next day or so, for being cost efficient, and for having consistent quality in a clean, relaxing environment. If you get one massage a year, splurge for something fancy, but if you want/​need regularly scheduled massages, check this place out.

I went to Massage Envy because I had some back pain that had caused me to lose sleep. I got a membership pitch on the phone when I booked my appointment. And after a pretty ok massage I got more sales pitch. Maybe it was the head cold, or the pressure sales tactics (if you don’t sign up today membership is more expensive!) but I decided to sign up. Really, it was because after getting a massage I still felt a little achy and knew that another massage in a couple of weeks would be good for me.
That night a friend recommended Sarah Hill LMP to me, and I regretted signing up for a membership.
A few days later I googled «Massage Envy cancellation» and came across long rants and horror stories about how difficult cancelling service with Massage Envy proved to be. I think this location is pretty good, but the company as a whole is lousy.
When I called to cancel at 3:30PM on a Thursday I was told that the manager that handles that wasn’t available… I got ahold of this manager an hour later and _​thankfully_​she let me cancel my membership though I was on the fourth day of my membership.
One thing I learned in this process: **Washington law allows you to rescind this sort of membership for three days after you sign.** If you sign up with a gym or Massage Envy and regret it the next day, call immediately and cancel.

I like this location. So far I haven’t really experienced any of the problems that everyone else has been mentioning. I signed up for the 12 month package (not at this location) wishing I hadn’t in the beginning but honestly I’m glad I did. I have constant work related back problems so coming here once a month really helps. I have seen a couple different people at this location but I have to give a shout out to Amy. She is very good at what she does and she is the only one I will see going forward. She takes the time to work out my knots and always knows where to find them.
My compliant: I wish I didn’t get bombarded with promotions and specials when I come out of a massage because I feel so relaxed to have someone trying to up sell to me. Also it would be nice if this location did facials. I hear they are coming soon though. Not really worth the money for an individual massage but a good deal if you get a package. It just depends if you want to be locked in for a year. If your looking for a one time relaxation massage I would recommend going somewhere else as it can be expensive.
Overall I have had pleasant experiences here and I do find it in a convenient spot seeing as I’m always needing something for dinner so I can go straight down to QFC after.

My boyfriend gave me one of his massages and it was one of the best massages of my life! Caitlin was my masseuse and she REALLY worked me. I enjoy a really deep massage to get out all the knots out, and she wasn’t afraid to get in there and really delivered. I felt so relaxed and fixed after.

The staff was awesome! My therapist was Brian Cochran and probably the best therapist I have been to! I have been receiving massage therapy for 4 years now because of a bad lower back and this was my first time with Brian. He was very professional and gave me the special attention I needed. I had a really stressful and exhausting last few months and Brian literally made it all go away! I highly recommend anyone to see Brian! I don’t leave many reviews, but after the wonderful experience I had, I couldn’t resist. Today was by far a highlight of my summer!!! Thanks!

Very disappointing massage experience at Massage Envy. I’ve had a lot of massage and this one of the very worst experiences I’ve ever had. My masseuse’s technique can best be described as the automated car wash school of massage. The therapist did not pay attention to my specific issues rather gave me the exact same massage as the previous 10 people got. It provided no relief at all for my aching back. The worst part is I actually paid for a membership so now I am locked in for 6 months of mediocre at best massage.

Heidi is FANTASTIC at deep tissue! I wish I could see her weekly! She really is a miracle worker and can really find the trigger points and stress knots and work them out. She’s just wonderful!
Went there for the 1.5 hour massage as a new person special. Three starts because I didn’t like how pushy they were when I was checking out, trying to get me to sign up for a membership. The parking was expensive in the garage below and street parking in Cap HIll is nearly impossible on weekends.

HEIDI is amazing, professional, and my favorite therapist of all time! she always makes sure you are comfortable with everything– room /​bed temp, pressure, etc.
I am on the computer all the time so I have constant neck and shoulder issues. Heidi knows exactly how much pressure to apply and most importantly she applies pressure at the RIGHT SPOT. i really dislike how some therapist will be slightly off and apply pressure to your bone or spine and that hurts! or sometimes the therapist’s tempo is too fast and choppy and you feel like you are riding a rollar coaster… instead of sinking into a deep bliss.
trust me! just try her out!

Let’s start by saying I’m a sucker for a good massage.
I used to go to the Massage Envy in Renton (when I lived there) and had a new therapist every time because no one there was great. But I definitely have my favorites at ME Capitol Hill.
I adore Jacob. He is so strong and his massages have great flow and a good amount of stretching mixed in with his massage. I work in the service industry too, so I always appreciate when my therapists remember my name, that I like the bed warm, and that I like most of my focus on upper back, but I do like my whole body touched. Jacob is so sweet, very caring, and attentive.
The last few times I’ve gone, Jacob hasn’t been available. I saw Kevin for one session, and he wasn’t bad, but he wasn’t my favorite. His technique was good, I was just thrown off by his flow. It seemed a little erratic for my liking, but he was nice.
Most recently I saw Carly and really enjoyed her too. Her strength is also great, and she too is very attentive. I felt a level of caring from her that I haven’t felt from other therapists. She was just very intuitive and kind.
Overall, I’ve never had a bad experience here. I always seem to show up with a lot of stress, and leave relaxed and ready for bed!

So I got a massage gift from a friend today and was expecting an 1 hour massage and I got 50 minutes. Then when I went to the front counter to get my ticket for parking validated, the stuck up little counter boy said members only get validated and to go to QFC and buy something…
Exactly when he said it, I said to myself I would never come here again and never recommend this place to any of my friends.
