By far the worst teriyaki I’ve ever had. Insanely dry chicken breast. Entirely flavorless. Even the brown rice was gross! copious amounts of sauce couldn’t save this dish, and they skimp on the salad as well. Thankfully I ordered egg rolls because those were actually edible, even though they were hella greasy. :-/bummer.

Recently went in and their teriyaki is totally different! It’s no longer has a bad sauce on it. It’s a sauce free teriyaki with nice flavor and a nice char:) I also got the chicken katsu and it was nice and crispy but also moist inside.

After 3 months of trying different menu items, I am still incredibly impressed with Manna Teriyaki and the wonderful people who own it. I have recently tried the fried rice, egg rolls, the fish burger, and all of their soups, it was all delicious, excellent flavor, especially the won ton soup. I highly recommend. Jolie

Some of the reviews really scared me off from trying this place, so a bit of perspective: This place won’t make you sick. Eating here will not kill you. It’s not even the worst teriyaki in the neighborhood, thanks to Safeway’s deli counter. The teriyaki is fine. I think it’s good, even. I wouldn’t go out of my way to get here, but it’s a local teriyaki joint that satisfies my cravings. They can be a little inconsistent — one order is succulent and juicy, another is more on the crisp and slightly overcooked side. It’s not enough to ruin a meal, it’s just a minor textural thing. Fine dining? No. Best teriyaki in Seattle? No. Convenient neighborhood joint? Yes.

A little bit of a dive but the owner of this restaurant more than made up for this. She was a very talkative lady and she was pretty«in-your face» about what to get and what not to get. She recommended that I get the spicy chicken teriyaki and I was a big fan of this. I also tipped her a bit and she gave me a free drink! Make sure you guys do this when you come to this establishment.

I had the spicy chicken teriyaki that everyone is raving about and quite frankly it was some of the worst teriyaki that I’ve ever had in my life. The spicy chicken looked more like a BBQ plate from down the street at Manna BBQ– in other words DRENCHEDIN A SWEETISHTERIYAKISAUCE. Maybe the trick is to order it «sos on si.» however, I didn’t. In addition to the atrocity, the chicken was super dry– maybe the sauce was meant to make it more moist?.. The rice had that overcooked, mushy quality. The couple that was there was nice, but I took my order to go and didn’t look or taste it until I was back at work. I won’t be going back there anytime soon.

It may look plain, but the food is very, very good. Tasty burgers, crispy fries, real ice-cream milkshakes, crunchy-on-the-outside-tender-inside gyoza(potstickers), flavorful teriyaki plates… this is one of my favorite neighborhood places to get a quick lunch or dinner. Also, fast, friendly service. Recommended without hesitation.(It’s right next to the Greenwood Branch Library at N 80th St. & Greenwood Ave. N.)

I eat at a lot of teriyaki places and this is one of my favorites. Love their spicy chicken teriyaki. It’s not very spicy and it’s almost caramelized with sauce, not too much sauce though. I suppose I should try something else here but I always end up with the spice chicken because it’s so GOOD!

I love myself a good teriyaki place. I think I’ve been spoiled by all my previous experiences when it comes to yummy charred juicy chicken.(Rip Kim’s Wok…) So far, I haven’t found a teriyaki joint that I consider having the perfect ratio. Plump, tender juicy chicken with a nice crispy charred touch marinated perfectly.(Not swimming in a pool of grease or thick molasses sauce) Accompanied by a simple crisp lettuce salad drizzled in the classic sweet dressing. The rice is freshly steamed and is at the perfect sticky consistency. I must admit I might have high expectations… and Manna definitely fell short of them. Though the owner of the place is super friendly, the food here is «okay» at best. I ordered the C-1 combo which consists of gyoza, teriyaki chicken and katsu. It’s concerning when you can hear a microwave being turned on shortly after your order, especially when it comes to teriyaki. Portion size was decent when it came to the teriyaki and katsu, but my salad was really sad. Literally only a few leaves of lettuce swimming in a pool of sweet dressing. I remember reading reviews complaining about how dry the chicken was. It’s weird to describe the texture of the chicken. It’s not juicy, but not completely dry… some of the pieces were translucent. The chicken did not taste fresh. It was really odd. The katsu was an oddball as well. It seemed perfectly fried and drizzled with that classic crack-tastic katsu sauce. But the meat was a little too chewy to my liking. Overall, my experience with the food at Manna wasn’t stellar, nor was it terrible. My search for a really good teriyaki place continues…

Love this place! Got the C1 combo with teriyaki, katsu and gyoza. Everything cooked just right. Large portions. Friendly service. Excellent menu. Delicious!

4 stars? Seriously? Either Unilocal is broken, or a lot of reviewers thought they were reviewing«Manna Deli and Teriyaki» on Aurora when they reviewed this place.(I haven’t tried that place, but this one is no where near deserving of 4 stars.) The food is gross. The space is grosser. The prices aren’t even good. The one redeeming thing that this place has going for it is the friendly service. I appreciate it, but it’s not enough when I’m hungry.

George likes spicy chicken! Greenwood Teriyaki has the best spicy chicken I’ve ever had. It’s rich, kinda dark brown and smoky, but not burnt. It’s far superior to the majority of places that just smear a little Sriracha on their standard chicken until it’s pink and then call it spicy. I can’t speak much to most of their other items because I only ever want spicy chicken. The portions are good, and the egg rolls are also great, if you like big, greasy egg rolls(which you should). The salad dressing is delicious, as other reviewers have noted, and the folks who own the joint are delightful.

I love this teriyaki place. I go almost every week. The other reviewers are correct, the lady at the front counter is wonderful, always sweet and friendly and calls me by name. In fact, I just call and say who I am and she knows what I want. I get the garden salad with teriyaki chicken — yum! If you’re going low carb, you get the benefit of the chicken with out the rice or fried veggies(though theirs are always good). I spoil it all by splurging on their delicious fries. Also, their beef teriyaki is absolutely delicious. The burgers are wonderful as well, but a bit more than I can eat in a serving. I also have to give a shout out for the chicken katsu — perfectly crispy. I always get take out, so can’t really comment on the in store dining experience. You should give this place a try if you are in the neighborhood. It’s great.

The portions are ridiculously large(great for big eaters like me) and the chicken is much better than average in quality with a nice char on it. Friendly owners. Close to my work — could only be better if it was close to where I live, but I’ll take ½.

Place was clean and the lady very friendly. The teryaki has small portions dry chicken and shredded lettuce with little dressing. The burgers are very thin and come with a small portion of crispy crinkle cut fries that are done very nicely. Bottom line is the food is average at best, a little pricey for what you get, and the service very friendly.

Teriible teriyaki. Dry and thin chicken. I was the only one in the place and still got tasteless food. I won’t be back

I live in Phinney Ridge and had seen this place a billion times but was always too nervous to try it since it looks like such a hole in the wall on the outside! But one day I was really craving teriyaki, so I checked the reviews on Unilocal, and to my surprise they were fantastic! So I gave it a try. I had the plain ordinary chicken teriyaki with white rice. It was good, but not overly amazing as some of the reviews have implied. I’ve definitely had better quick and cheap teriyaki at the mall foodcourt, but I’ve had much worse too, so it is definitely decent and good. The service was also really great.
