Organizing art workshops for Europe… mainly Italy and France. We furnish and provide art instructors, accommodations, food, guide service and local transportation. We also provide a cooking school and provide instructors for photography.

History

Established in 2001.

Having done extensive travel before retirerment from the Hotel business, I combined my experience in the hotel business along with my enjoyment of travel and started Magic Palette Workshops. I also did a lot of art in watercolors and acrylics so these three talents put me naturally into my business… and have gone to Europe each year since my start-up…averaging no less than 2 workshops a year.

Business Owner

Mr. Sperling’s primary artistic goal is «diversification». His paintings reflect a decisive desire to eliminate a stereotype technique that could become a label of his personality. One will observe his subject matter to be extremely varied using the three mediums of watercolor, acrylics and water oils… each applied separately on watercolor paper and canvas.

Born in Juneau, Alaska in 1931, Bill attended both grade school and high school in Juneau. After graduation he attended the University of Oregon majoring in Fine Arts. Attempting to attend the Art Center School in Los Angeles he became drafted into the service in Anchorage, Alaska where he became an illustrator for Headquarters USURAL producing original silk-​screen posters. After separation he remained in Anchorage until 1964 and worked as a sign painter and eventually establishing his own business.

Moving to New York he became involved with the Alaska Pavilion at the New York World’s Fair for two years and eventually remain
