Love this place! Great customer service, greats sweets! A little pricey, but it’s Madison Park, so people in the area are used to paying a little bit more. Great Sandwiches and salads. I used to work right above this bakery and sincerely miss it. Now I just get back to Madison Park once or twice a year, but I always make sure to stop by Madison Park Bakery!

I’ve been getting cakes here for years, and my kids are always amazed and impressed. The more details you provide, the better they do – but they always come up with something that makes the kids happy, and made me a great yarn ball cake for myself. We often pick up a pull-apart or cookies while we are in, and my favorite thing here is probably the apple fritter; I always swear I will only eat half, which never happens. When the shop is busy, it is chaotic, but, otherwise, I really love the baked goods and the really nice people who work here.

Oh bakery of my childhood, sort of. Some things have changed, many are the same. This bakery is kind of old school, not a whole lot of fancy schmancy, in a good way. We love the cinnamon, pecan, and apricot rolls, cinnamon rolls, cheese rolls, lots of rolls. Their cakes are moist and delicious. I might have a problem with the coconut cake.

I grew up going to this bakery. They have the best donuts in town. I can’t name a bakery with a larger selection of baked goods than the Madison Park Bakery; donuts, cinnamon roles, bread, cakes, cookies, pies, etc. The pies are very good, especially the Marion Berry and Apple. Personally I like the Lemon Bar cookies. They offer lemon filling in the ordered cakes. I have lived in Seattle off and on the past 35 years and there is not a better bakery, not even close. Old fashions, maple bars, oatmeal cookies, cinnamon roles, the cinnamon bread! No one comes close. The bakery does cost a lot, but the product is 200−300% better. It is located in a very pricey part of town.

This bakery has a wonderful history. Great baked goods, even if it is terribly overpriced. My biggest complaint is the staff are not very nice to the customers. May be that they are overworked. Too bad, because I would go more often, if they made the experience nicer and the product was more affordable.

The baked goods are fine, but this place is mighty disorganized. My husband ordered three pies for Thanksgiving. When he went to pick them up the day before Thanksgiving, they told him that the pumpkin pie had not been fully cooked. «Just pop it in the oven at 300 degrees for 20 minutes or so,» they said. Certainly this was doable for us, but rather strange. At least they gave us the pie at half price. Several years ago, we had a more serious problem with them. Early in the week, I ordered a lemon meringue pie for a birthday event on the upcoming Sunday. On Saturday night, I arrived home to a phone message saying they had run out of lemon meringue and could not make the pie. This left me seriously in the lurch, as we were scheduled to leave early the next morning on the birthday outing(skiing). They need to get their act together.

I’ve been meaning to update this post. My opinion still stands that aesthetically, this cake could have been made at any local grocery store. However, I will give credit where credit is due. My sister and brother-in-law said the cake was delicious. It was melt-in-your-mouth good. Points for taste, no points for design or decoration.

This bakery makes the best cakes!!! I have had many custom cakes — my little guy wanted a military birthday cake so they put a tank and army guys on it and made it kind of camo style, we did a Garfield high school bulldog theme graduation cake, and most recently a poker birthday party cake. The decorations are wonderful but most importantly the cake is delicious! You can tell they use fresh, REAL ingredients like butter and eggs and not weird processed stuff. Really creamy yummy frosting and filling. They also have cute cookies and donuts, etc. Great spot!

Great staff. Tons of different kinds of sweet treats at affordable prices and a great location not far from the water and views of 520. I was struggling to get motivated to finish up some work I had before a meeting in the area when I happened upon this bakery. They had a great selection of frosted cookies, traditional pastries and cakes. I am a huge fan of meringues and loved that they had several flavors(cotton candy, chocolate chip, strawberry, vanilla and chocolate). They even had ones with adorable dog faces on them. An animal meringue with a pug on it was just what I needed to have starting at me to finish up my work for the day.

We ordered our wedding cake from Madison Park Bakery. They were wonderful at our test tastings, and the final cake we chose, white cake with salted caramel buttercream and espresso filling, was their suggestion and our delight! They were also very flexible about our payment when the due date fell on a very traffic-heavy day and were nice enough to spare us the hassle of fighting the crowds on that particular day. Additionally, they gladly sold us a sheet cake of the same flavor as our display cake so we could feed all of our hungry guests on a budget. We would like to end this review though, by stating the most important thing, the cake was delicious. It is always a little disappointing when you see a beautiful cake and the flavor doesn’t match — no worries here! We both went back for another slice after we ate the one we had cut because one simply wasn’t enough!

Love little bakeries that bake up all sorts of goodies, both sweet and savory. I tried a key lime tart and it was heavenly. Add a cold glass of iced tea and it made for a great snack. I will definitely stop by next time I’m in the area.

Ice water from the tap costs $ 1.50; fifty cent charge for using your debt card for purchases less than $ 5.00.

Two weeks ago, I ordered two cakes. One for noon, one for 3p. I got the noon cake around 12:30 today. When I picked it up the baker acknowledged I had two and that the other would be ready at 3p. It was just ok, but did the trick. I returned at 3:30. First, I waited for 15 minutes before anyone even said hello. This was with me holding my cc by the register. Second, the baker came out from back and asked what I wanted. I said I was here for a cake pick up and gave her my name. She went in back. Several minutes later she came forward and this is, verbatim, what she said«I don’t have your cake. [glacing at my 7yo, who is instantly in tears as it’s her birthday] I was thinking it was a Sunday. I can have it ready in 20 minutes.» Aside from none of that making sense, where was the«I’m so sorry.» She just stood there frowning. I continued to talk to her, and she continued to mouth back. Finally I said, «your attitude SUCKS!» And yes, I yelled that last word. What did she say? «Look who sucks now.» And started laughing. Shame on you Madison park bakery. I think here on out, we will find another shop to patron.

I so badly want to like this place. Before moving to Madison Park my boss raved about this bakery but everytime I’ve been in there I’ve been underwhelmed. There is way too much sugary baked things, cookies, donuts, danishes, cake, and pie. I personally love having a scone or muffin with coffee or even buying fresh bread at a local bakery but they do not make anything but sweets here, so this is simply not my kind of bakery. I have noticed however, many of my violin students will go to the bakery for a sweet treat after their violin lessons, so the bakery is good for rewarding little children.

When family comes to visit I insist that they have to see Madison beach… then then tell them that we should make one more stop — it’s a setup. I really only want to go to the bakery to get a cupcake. I LOVE them. I also slip a couple of donut holes in the bag too when everyone heads to the car. Great spot.

They only have sweet(Oregon) chai! I came here hoping for spicy chai, and was disappointed to find out it was Oregon. But I did order a drip coffee, and the lady behind the counter was really funny, sweet, and super helpful. I also had an apple fritter sample and it was delish. I would have given them one more star if they had spicy chai/offered a choice of two types…

This place will never fall short of satisfying your sweet tooth, unless you are the type who frowns upon simple donuts, cookies and cakes. No one would ever accuse Madison Park Bakery of being too fancy, but that is fine with me. Sometimes a maple donut with small pieces of bacon over the top just hits the spot more than a kouign amon does. They also have plenty of other cookies, donuts and cakes to be had. Throw in an extremely friendly staff and a large selection and I can’t find that much to complain about. The only ill will I bear towards MPB is those times on Mondays when I come by and the place is closed all day. Anything I’ve already had I can recommend, which would be a buttercream cupcake, a traditional cake donut and a peanut butter cookie. Based on those three, I think I can safely give my stamp of approval on anything going forward

One thought: 4% BUTTERCREAM!!! Ohhh Yeah!!! Really meant to say 10STAR here but I only get 5. Madison Park Bakery is not only a local hangout, but its also one of the best bakeries in the city. The taste alone is cardiac causing sweetness in your mouth! There is no artificial flavoring or unnatural ingredients here, which is why it tastes so sinfully good. Many people who have savored this bakery choose it for their wedding cake, as will I. My family finds obscure mediocre holidays as an excuse to get a cake from here. They can dozens of designs. However, this flavor comes at a cost. A single doughnut can be over 2 dollars, so be advised. Personally, I’m not a fan of their cookies, I find them hard and the flavor is not my cup of tea, but my family loves them, and everyone loves the cakes/doughnuts.

I am simply reviewing them for their maple bacon doughnut. It is the BEST I’VEEVERHAD! I’ve had several maple bacon doughnuts and none are at par with Madison Park Bakery’s. They have perfected this doughnut and I need to have one every week! Their bacon pieces are larger that most places. It allows you to have a bite of the crispy goodness. The bacon is cooked perfectly. It is crispy and flavorful. It compliments the maple so well! Luckily the doughnuts are large because I could devour this in a few bites! Go there and order this NOW!

I went to the Madison Park Bakery on a mission: to get my hands on the rainbow cake. I’ve been wanting to taste it for months and to see if it might be the appropriate cake for my 30th birthday. The cake itself is beautiful. 5 layers of vibrant rainbow colors! And while the cake is good, it isn’t wonderful, which left me a little disappointed. It was moist and yummy but all the layers are the same flavor and I really would have loved something fruity or tangy in there. Might be better served with some fresh fruit for a tang factor. It also might be better if it came with a unicorn, as Leonardo mentioned.
