Lock and Road

Great experience with Noah. My mother carefully locked all kinds of important papers in a lateral filing cabinet, then put the key in a safe place — never to be seen again! We needed those papers! Found Noah on Unilocal and set up an appointment for the afternoon. He came precisely on time, was very personable, picked the locks (there were two of them), all for just $ 75. I was very happy and would definitely use him again.

Needed a snapped key removed from an ignition and a new care key made. Called Lock and Road who said someone could be there in 30 – 60 minutes and hurried to get off the phone; this seemed reasonable for a holiday weekend. Waited the 60 minutes and no one showed up or called to say they were running late. Phoned back, the same woman who we initially spoke with rudely said we had just called a few minutes ago (though it had been the hour timeframe) and said the crew were still working on another job and wouldn’t be done for 20 minutes. There was no apology and it seemed as though we were bothering them. Would not recommend.
We called another company who said they could be there in 20 minutes (and were).

This review carries some weight because this is one locksmith recommending his competition. Noah bailed me out recently when my locksmith van failed to start. Turns out that my subwoofer and amp are wired into the same circuit as my emergency lights so if I leave them on for 45 minutes my battery dies. Noah was on the spot in half an hour after the phone call to jump my car with a portable power supply. Thanks Noah!
I now refer a lot of car lockouts to Noah because he will do them more cheaply than I or any tow truck will. $ 60 for unlocking your car at any time of day is a really good deal, at least in Seattle. Lock and Road will also do house lockouts for a very competitive price.
Joysha’s review seems to me like it should be five stars too because Noah can deal with any lock you throw at him, just as any locksmith you consider should. He doesn’t really need to know what kind of locks you have, when he shows up he will look at them and get out the tools necessary. Asking customers what kind of locks they have is going down a rabbit hole with no end in sight: most customers won’t be able to tell you any useful information about their locks so there is no point in asking. Knowing the brand does not tell you what security the cylinder has or how difficult it will be to pick. Noah deserves all five star reviews in my book.
edit: also forgot to mention Noah told me he turns down large lucrative rekeying jobs to concentrate on lockouts and fixing ignitions etc. That is important because when you call him he will probably be ready to go which is important because a lot of locksmiths in this city can’t even schedule same day assistance.

I feel really dumb posting this but I got locked out of my house. It was a really early cold morning and I had put on my coat, gloves, and hat thinking my keys were in my purse already-​Nope!
I Unilocaled for a locksmith nearby and this was the only one available ²⁴⁄₇. I was a little worried because all the reviews only stated autos and when we were on the phone, he didn’t ask what exactly happened and what kind of locks I had — which is why I am only giving 4 stars.
Even though I wished he would have been more detail-​oriented over the phone, he gave me a flat rate immediately and he was very professional because he kept me updated of his arrival status.
When he finally unlocked my door, he respected our privacy by staying outside. Thank you for that Noah and for suggesting tools we can use to actually prevent us from calling you again, like a key safe!

Professional must call of you lock your keys in your car (like I did). It wasn’t easy to get my car unlocked, but Noah (employee) got the job done. His customer service was great and he was very polite. I would recommend these guys to anyone in need of some help with their car.

I usually carry a spare key with me just incase i locked my keys inside my car. For some reason i did mot carry a spare key. I called many places to see what their quote was and most of them said it starts at 39.99. I needed an exact price so i kniw exactly how much i was spending since in a poor student.
Well, i called this company up and they only charge a flat fee of $ 50. Im keeping them in my phone book. Maybe its because im closer to them? Im not sure. But $ 50 is a good deal for me.

I absent-​mindedly locked my keys out of the car and they arrived promptly to help open my car. Not only was it relatively inexpensive ($ 50 vs $ 150 it cost at other locksmith companies) but the guy had my door open in less than 10 seconds. To top it all off, I was given a piece of chocolate to help ease the pain of being set back 50 bucks. Very happy customer! Highly recommended for those in need of assistance

I am fairly new to town and didn’t know who to call or trust when I locked my keys in my car. I used Unilocal and saw the awesome reviews and tried Lock and Road. They were super fast getting to my location and it took less then two minutes to have my car unlocked. They also even offered to submit to insurance for me… very impressed!!!

This review is long overdue, but I promised Noah I would do it.
My boyfriend was in NY visiting family, and I was borrowing his car while he was gone. So… of course, being my luck, I ended up leaving the lights on and the next day when I went to start it up, the bettery was dead. It also happens to be that the key doesn’t work if the battery is dead, either. So I couldn’t jump the battery myself. This all happened on day that my boyfriend was coming back home… who also lives 45 minutes from me, so of course he’d need his car to get home.
I came across Lock n’ Road on Google, and called them since they’re right by me in Northgate. The only thing that was not super great was the fact that it took them 30 minutes to come, but even still he came and fixed the car right up — Unlocking it and jumping the battery. It only cost about $ 50, which is not bad at all compared to other related roadside services.
PLUS, Noah Strasbourger was so nice and patient. He gave me some tips and tricks about if it were to happen again/​how to prevent it, too.
Overall, I’m a very hapy customer! I would definitely recommend Lock n’ Road.

My ’97 Honda Accord fell prey to a mold infestation after being encased in snow for days. I had an appointment to take it to be detailed. The day before I had turned my car on to let down the windows so it’d air out a bit while I removed all my belongings.
This morning, I was all ready to go… but my car was not. It refused to start. After trying the service station around the corner, I sought some Unilocal help. (Since I am of the lady persuasion, I was afraid of getting ripped off.) I am so glad I did because it led me to Lock and Road’s roadside assistance.
The dispatch was friendly, yet straight to the point. The driver/​mechanic was running a bit behind schedule, but he called me to let me know and I really appreciated that. I was never quoted a time of arrival so he really didn’t have to do it.
When he did arrive, he was super friendly, very informative, and very courteous. It turned out that it was not my battery, but my fuel had separated in the tank from inactivity with less than half a tank. Did not know that happened! Since he still had to charge me for coming out, he offered other services. He clean and treated my battery for corrosion, tested the alternator and waited around to make sure the car would continue running. He then also suggested ways for me to save money (like switching to Zip cars) since I don’t use my car that often and answered other questions that I had about Honda maintenance in general. Then, when I thought the experience could be no better, he then pulled out a big jar of fun size chocolate saying, «here’s something to hopefully make your difficult day a bit brighter.» It did! When I got to work, I was so peppy! A big change from all the cursing I was doing a couple hours before lol
On top of all that, I didn’t have to pay anything at all because they billed my insurance directly, even though it was only $ 40! If you have a problem, they are the ones to call!
