90s night at Lo-​Fi= closest thing to a religious experience I’ve been to!
From classic Spice Girls to Ace of Base, anyone who is an avid 90s freak will get their fix here. The DJ played ALL the cuts, which was amazing. Bartenders were awesome, and were very attentive to their customers. The venue was a decent size (it was jam packed by the end of the night) with mild air conditioning. It has a divey-​esque/​underground feel to it, making it seeml like a well kept secret spot in SLU.
Can’t wait to see what else they have in store for future events!

It was my first time in Seattle and was looking for some cool live music and man did this place deliver! There was a $ 5 cover charge which didn’t bother me none, because there was some serious kickass hardrock– thrash Deep Purple like bands jamming the entire night. Lo-​Fi all the way!
Small venue with real music lovers makes for a cool crowd. Got arcade options in the back room too. Oh yeah!
When I’m back in Seattle, I’m back in Lo-​Fi!

What an awesome place to watch breakdancers (and participate!) on Tuesday nights. I’m excited to come back here!

The facility was perfect. Not too hot. Not too cramped and intimate enough for us to get close to the artist.
I’m from DC so the drink prices here were recession proof.

If you are looking for an eclectic, divey dance club, definitely recommend this spot. Yes, its super crowded and can be hard to get to the bar, but they have fun themed nights like 90s nights, that are great my letting loose with a large group.

I had a fun enough time, though it was so insanely crowded that you can’t really dance… just minute moves and vertical hopping. My real issue is the fact that I ordered 3 drinks $ 10 each on a card I left open. When I closed out I had a receipt for $ 30.25 and wrote «cash» in the tip line then tossed a $ 5 in their jar… so imagine my surprise when I saw my statement reflect a $ 36.25 charge. Sketchy business practice.

Love the live music set ups! Small Bar with great potential… If there were just instruments… The bar would be #1

A few friends and I went to Lo-​fi for a friends birthday. Unbeknownst to us it was instrumental-​grunge that night so we decided pretty quickly that we would be exiting right away. However we did order a drink while waiting for an über. I didn’t realize until the next day that the bartender handed me another credit card that didn’t belong to me. I get people leaving their cards can be annoying but this one wasn’t my fault. I didn’t black out and get cut off and flip off a bouncer. They made a small mistake but expect a business to own up to them and make an effort to rectify them. But I can’t get my card back. They don’t answer their phone and have so far not been open during posted business hours. At this point the fate of finding my card is as dark as the interior décor of this performance venue, dark and bleak.

Small little place where you can have a lot of fun if you go with a group of friends.
I have only been for either 90s night or soul night and they were both a lot of fun! Can get a little cramped though as the space is small and the drinks are pretty average so go for the basics.

On a week long trip to Seattle to visit my cousin and her husband she told me I had to go to Lo-​Fi with her. Being from Michigan (HUGE time change) I was kind of tired, but agreed to go because I don’t make it out to Seattle ever. Needless to say, I had such a great time!
The night she took me it was 90’s night and it was everything I could of hoped and dreamed for. When we first walked in, I was a little taken aback by the cover charge. However, as soon as we walked to the back and I heard NSYNC playing, I felt like a starstruck 5^th grader all over again. I was jumping up and down and singing at the top of my lungs. It was amazing!
Another plus (at least for me) was the old-​fashioned photo booth, which is by far my favorite thing to do when I go out for an evening. Needless to say, we took a lot of pictures which are now hanging on my fridge.
The only real criticism I have is the bathroom situation. There really aren’t a whole lot of bathrooms and I got stuck waiting in line for at least 20 minutes each time I had to go. That’s absolute torchure when you’ve been at a bar drinking for an entire evening.
This place is really fantastic though. I wish I could have put Lo-​Fi in my suitcase and taken it back to Michigan with me.

The DJs are awful liars.
A venue with a cover charge, should have djs who willingly play a variety of oldies when requested «any Tina Turner, temptations, Jackson five, MJ?!» not lie and say «I left those songs/​artists at home» that’s just wackkkk.
I wouldn’t recommend solely off that. I’m here to dance and the dj killed my vibe.

I have only been here twice, but each experience was memorable.
The front room is themed, last year the 80’s, this year the 90’s, what’s there not to like? The back room is more current music and always packed with people.
Neither dance floors are too big, but enough to fit at least 50 in the back and comfortably 20 – 30 in the front.
The first time I went, I stayed mainly in the back dancing away and the only problem was the restroom (there is only one). The second time I went, we stayed in the front by the bar and arcade room. ARCADE ROOM? That’s amazing! I had NO idea it was there. My friends loved it. Our other favorite spot is the photo booth; we always manage to squish 4 – 5 people in it. Of course, not the best photos come out of it, but it’s always a great memory inebriated or not.
Drinks are made pretty well and the bartenders are really pleasant. I’ve never had to leave a drink because it was no good or it was too strong. Overall, great experience.

My friend is a Type 1 diabetic and had an insulin reaction while dancing. He must have said or done something to upset a bouncer, which isn’t uncommon with an insulin reaction, however, I found it highly inappropriate that 4 – 5 bouncers repeatedly punched and kicked him while he was on the ground. Random patrons were pulling the bouncers off of him because they were being brutal. Not Seattle’s finest moment in the eyes of this visitor. I hope this bar burns to the ground. Do not go here.

Looking for a Low-​key, underground spot to enjoy hip hop music on a Tuesday night??? Well look no further, Lo-​Fi is the place to be. I love Tuesday nights here because an on looker will find an array of the Elements of Hip-​Hop.
Don’t be shyed away upon first entering this establishment. It looks small but after grabbing yourself a «$ 7 special» (Tallboy PBR and a shot of whiskey) you will find yourself walking down long dark hallway that suprisingly opens up to a large dancefloor with a balcony that overlooks the action. (Not to mention agorgeous view of the Space Needle)
Dj’s spin their favorite mixes, while B-​Boys and B-​Girls impress or test their favorite moves. If you are a lyrisist or simply enjoy it, the stage is open for mic checks and spit sessions. Make sure to bring your dancing shoes, regardless of your ability to break it down the energy and beats will have you moving and bouncing.
All of the staff are nice and appreciate the art! Leave your mark in the bathrooms on the chalk boards and Don’t forget to walk down the stairs outside and check out the Graffiti wall in the parking lot.

Last Friday of every month is Midnight Hotline Rendezvous, which is pretty much the *only* night I go out dancing. As far as the crowd goes on those nights, it’s a pretty non-​skeezy place [I mean, the nights I go it’s sexy 80s soul/​funk] where there are all sorts of people on the dance floor enjoying the music — from the terribad chicks with a poor sense of rhythm [moi] to guys who make you stop dancing to stare.
The bartenders are really hit or miss — the last couple months I’ve had SUPER weak drinks — and I’m not the only one in my circle of friends who feels that way. There’s a lady bartender who pretty much always makes sure I’m gettin’ my fair share of Malibu in my Malibu & Cokes.
I hate the coat rack being upstairs because holy shit they have the scariest stairs ever! Super tall and narrow, I’m always afraid I’m gonna fall down and break my neck.
I haven’t run into Dfens’ problem regarding the bathroom, as they have a few different bathrooms now and I’ve always gravitated towards one that seems to have a secure lock, heh.
In spite of the downsides and my paralyzing fear of the staircase, I’m still a fan.

Came to Lo-​Fi during one of the Emerald City Soul nights a couple years ago. The location is a bit odd, and the dingy bathrooms leave something to be desired, but god damn I had so much fun twisting the night away on the two different dance floors that those other things really didn’t much matter. Toss in some cheap stiff drinks and you’ve got a recipe for success.
Seriously I’ve never seen so many random people having so much fun in Seattle. Even more to my surprise, I go outside for some fresh air and found everyone to be super chatty in a very un-​Seattle way. I can’t say this is because of the venue, but honestly it was a really great vibe that you don’t normally encounter in the PNW.
Why not 5 stars? Well the one thing I’ve learned about lo-​fi is that it’s different on every night of the week. Maybe every night of the year! I stopped in one Saturday night and was surprised by super intense drum and bass night! I had some fun, but that’s not really my scene.

I witnessed my first breakdancing showdown here at Lo-​Fi. It was pretty awesome just like all the YouTube clips from early 80’s breakdancing movies, minus the cheering. Nobody was cheering?!
The front room had really good DJ’s on this particular Tuesday night, and I think the bartenders were pouring strong drinks because people here were exceptionally chatty and social. Then again the friendly vibe could be due to the good jams.
Bonus: Lo-​Fi is close enough to Capitol Hill to walk home.

First dance club I’ve been to in a long time where people were actually dancing and not just dry humping each other in public. It was awesome!
Went on funk and soul night and had a blast. I didn’t know as many of the songs as I thought I would but the music selection was great and got you dancing and even guess-​singing towards the end of the song like it has somehow become your jam.
This is very different from all your wannabe-​Vegas-​esque types of clubs that have become increasingly prevalent in Seattle. No neon lighting or anything like that. The way this place is decorated is «interesting…» at best. It’s like someone tried to make a warehouse more glamorous with garage sale finds then gave up.
Overall I liked this place. Can’t review the drinks for you as I ordered none but I did like the vibe.

DUG and soul night are my favorite events at Lo-​Fi but I will come here any time just to sit at the bar and gaze at Suzy– the hottest bartender in all of Seattle. Oh man does she pour a mean drink. She’s sweet as a peach and as sharp as a hypodermic needle that simultaneously injects booze (i.e. medicine) down your gullet.
Speaking of ‘the best’- Lo-​Fi also has a legit photo booth that develops b&w pics in no time with perfect contrast which really means something to the drunk people who need to capture the fleeting moments in time when they were happy. On that stumbling liquid quest to the fridge the next morning when your head is pounding and you’re debating a shot to lapse into the drunk again– go ahead and let your blurry vision align on the reel affixed to the door by sloppy magnets. This is your valuable photographic evidence that you are in fact «livin’ the dream.»
Come here to dance but if you are the type to bitch about bar bathrooms make sure you have a couple to calm yo’self before you go searching for your porcelain throne.
