History
Established in 1984.
Founded in 1984, Lisa Harris Gallery is a leading Seattle gallery featuring contemporary art including paintings, prints, drawings, sculpture, and photography. Occupying a view loft in the historic Pike Place Market, the gallery specializes in works by established and emerging artists with ties to the West Coast, especially the Pacific Northwest. The gallery is a founding member of the Seattle Art Dealers Association (SADA) of which Lisa Harris is past President.
The gallery mounts rotating monthly exhibitions and participates in the Seattle First Thursday evening gallery walk. Open daily, Lisa Harris Gallery serves as a resource for the local community as well as out-of-town visitors and is conveniently located downtown between the Seattle Art Museum and Olympic Sculpture Park.

Business Owner
Lisa Harris is the Director and Owner of Lisa Harris Gallery in Seattle. The gallery, which represents thirty Northwest and West Coast contemporary artists, is celebrating its 30th Anniversary this year. Harris is a founding member of the Seattle Art Dealers Association and a member of Art Table, the national organization of women in the visual arts.
Harris received a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from Williams College in 1975. She earned an M.B.A. in Arts Management from the University of California at Los Angeles (now the Anderson School at UCLA). From 1979 to 1980 she was Assistant to the President of Cornish Institute (now Cornish College of the Arts).
Before founding her own gallery in 1984, Harris served as Director of Pioneer Square Gallery where she collaborated with other galleries to establish Seattle’s First Thursdays. Most recently, Harris co-curated the exhibition, John Cole: A Historical Perspective, at the Museum of Northwest Art.
