I had to amend two years taxes that I did myself, poorly. Gwenda and Dennis were both very friendly and helpful, they walked me through everything and it was fairly priced. They have toys available for the kiddos, nothing too fancy but enough to keep them occupied while you talk.

I’ve used Liberty Tax before and found them very helpful. I’ve since moved though and went into this branch last week to work on my taxes. After waiting patiently for 30 min. for the lady to finish with her client she was curt, unsympathetic and obviously annoyed with my questions. My taxes can be complicated which is why I get help to work on them but she just seemed to be annoyed that I was there. And she did absolutely nothing I wasn’t able to do myself.
I’m pretty sure that she was just expecting me to pay her for typing things into a computer while I dictated. When I asked how to deduct a certain receipt she asked rudely why my boss hadn’t paid for that as if I was just trying to screw the system. I’m self employed which she obviously already knew.
If your looking for someone to give you a lot of attitude, question your motives, be as unhelpful as possible and get exasperated with your questions then this branch is the one for you. If your actually looking to do your taxes correctly then I suggest you look elsewhere. I took my taxes and left. I didn’t even feel comfortable with that place having my personal information.

Had my taxes done here two years in a row but it’s only because I didn’t know better. For the convenience of not having to do my own taxes I was willing to pay whatever. But the last year they charged me almost $ 400 and it just didn’t seem right since I don’t really live a financially complicated life. So this year I decided to use someone else and he was shocked when he found out how much Liberty charged me. My taxes are not that complicated either — it only takes the preparer about 30 minutes tops. Now that I know I can get my taxes done for less than half what these guys charge, I am relieved, but also a little pissed they got away with gouging me. I feel this business takes advantage of people who don’t know what a reasonable fee is for their service. Horrible business practices if you ask me.

Visited the office this past weekend and the rep who assisted us wasn’t able to finish. Showed up at 3:00 and at 5:00 pm, he was not able to complete it. Just a straight forward, married filing joint return. He told us that his supervisor would review it and we would get a call first thing Monday morning. No call. I called Monday afternoon and spoke to the store manager– Gwenda. She said she’d call me back after she was done w/​her «client.» I never got a call back.
Called back Tue. morning to find out they went ahead and filed our taxes without our consent and incomplete!!! Another rep who answered the phone (Doug) proceeds to say that it was filed without signatures and has never seen this in the 5 yrs. he’s worked for Liberty. umm… didn’t make me feel any better. He re assured me he would have his supervisor (Gwenda) call me as soon as she was in the office around 1:00. As of 2:00 same day, no call. Called and spoke to yet another employee. She took a message and again re assured me Gwenda would call me back. Waited until 3:30 pm, no call. At this point, I’ve been waiting for a call since Monday morning and this is Tuesday, 3:30 pm and nobody is returning calls.
Gwenda finally gets on the phone and boy did I regret talking to her. Should’ve just made a formal complaint to corporate office. Doug mentioned to me earlier in the day that this office is now corporate owned. Gwenda has the worst attitude and said they’re «human» and humas make mistakes. We’re talking about taxes. Filing without signatures??? That’s pretty basic and a mistake that shouldn’t occur. She continued to be unapologetic and only apologized after I mention it which she mockingly apologizes. She’s yelling out loud to her employees as she’s on the phone w/​me about how many times she’s having to apologize. All the while, she’s raising her voice, going on and on about her office procedure (which doesn’t matter to me) and still offered no solution as to what to do with our incomplete return.
I bring up amendment and she rudely says they’ll do it because they «made the mistake» but her next line was, I have copies of your IDs so that gives us permission to file for you. HUH??? Copies of IDs are not signatures or a sign of a completed return.
In the end, she tells me she has NO openings for this upcoming Saturday even though I’m being inconvenienced to go back to the office. Her attitude was nonchalant and suggested I can come in and just «wait.» WORST SERVICE EVER. I would highly discourage anyone from going to this office simply because of Gwenda. I let her know I was going to file a formal complaint and her response was «would you like the full spelling of my name?» Very very rude. Told her I can figure it out. Didn’t need her to tell me that. I’m far more competent than her and all her staff put together.
Gwenda Kenon– you have the worst customer service. You shouldn’t be in the service industry with that kind of attitude. You made the mistake– fix it. It’s illegal to file someone else’s taxes WITHOUT CONSENT and SIGNATURE!

The fees for filing my taxes this year were three times as much. I am told that it is because it is now owned by a different owner? Has anyone else found that that fees are a lot higher now? Any comments?
The gentleman who did my taxes was very professional and all seems well with my taxes so far, but it seems like $ 200.00 for a plain tax preparation is a bit much.

DO NOT USE LIBERTY TAX! Tim, the owner (if he’s still there) did our taxes 2 years ago. 4 months ago we got a notice from the IRS saying the we owed several thousand dollars in back taxes. We called Liberty Tax multiple times and emailed but got absolutely no reply. We couldn’t get an answer as to what was not submitted to IRS thus had to pay. VERY poor customer service.
