Kirk Honda has experience with individuals, couples, and families on the following issues: relationship issues, trauma recovery, teen issues, mood disorders, anxiety, post-​traumatic stress disorder, anger management, domestic violence, substance addiction, sex addiction, parenting, sexuality, spirituality (he is religion friendly), cultural advocacy, and sexual orientation advocacy (he is an LGBTQ ally and poly-​friendly).

History

Established in 1997.

Kirk Honda has a doctorate in psychology with a concentration in adult psychotherapy and a master’s in psychology with a concentration in couple and family therapy. He started his private practice in Seattle in 1998. He’s been a licensed marriage and family therapy in Washington State since 1999. He has been teaching graduate-​level psychology courses since 1998, and he is currently chair of the Couple and Family Therapy Program at Antioch University Seattle. He also provides private supervision to therapists-​in-​training.
