Justice Works!

Thrifting for a good cause, I’m down. I spent about an hour buzzing through the racks here and wasn’t disappointed. (Please note that I was volunteering on a Battered Women’s Law Advocacy Program, so I was stationed there for a few hours.)
My motto for thrifting is patience and diet coke. If you are not having any luck, go for a DC break and jump right back in, it really works!
I found all those flowy, shiny blouses from the 80’s that I love to rock with wide-​legged jeans and a big sunnies. Hot pink was the color du jour for me and at $ 5 a pop (this was the high-​end of the scale, as I rounded up since it is a non-​profit/​charity.)
Deals always reveal themselves to me – it is a blessing and a curse – so about 5 minutes later I discovered (vintage) Liz Claiborne leather & chain bag for only 10 bucks. I love those 80’s finds!
I am coveting these crazy black peacock lamps for my lair, they scream Liberace’s seaside home, for the den of course.

JusticeWorks! runs a small yet fabulous thrift store. The stock rotates quite a bit and, as the previous reviewer mentioned, there is alot of merch packed into their space. This store/​non-​profit is a regular stop on my thrifting route. If you don’t live in the area, consider stopping in anyway-​as an enticement there is an ice cream and vintage pinball and arcade game place in the same set of shops. Enjoy!

This place has some really great deals– I always find the coolest jewelry (oh, maybe I shouldn’t share that) and for whatever reason, every really nice sheet set for our guest room came from here.
I found a brand new pair of red suede creepers here the other day for $ 7. SCORE!
They only accept cash and the store is usually really full so you have to poke around a bit but deals are there and it’s a great cause to boot.
