Johnny’s Barbershop is dialed in with clean cuts, great service, and good people. I always enjoy my time here and Johnny does a great job of always making it a good environment. I would highly recommend Johnny’s Barbershop for any one who wants to look sharp professionally and socially at a great value. Conveniently located off Greenwood.

I stopped by here during my lunch break. Barbers were friendly and I was taken right away. However, the barber took over an hour to cut my hair and he still kind of messed it up. I have a strong cowlick on the back of my head and the way that he styled it makes it so that I have to gel down everything. It makes the back of my head look really flat. I do like the way that he faded in the sides, but my girlfriend even noticed that I had a small bald spot on the back of my head. The main issue I had was the time. Previous barbers that I’ve gone to usually take 20 – 30 minutes on my hair. I wasted my whole one hour lunch break on a haircut that was mediocre. Needless to say, I will probably not be coming back here.

These guys know their stuff. Johnny did a great job on a frohawk for my 5 year old.

My boyfriend and I moved to Seattle from Chicago in June of this year and were desperate to find a barbershop for him to go to. I didn’t realize how loyal men are to their barbers, so it did take a bit of digging around to find a place my boyfriend liked. I can’t remember how we stumbled upon Johnny’s Barbershop, it may have been a referral or a Unilocal search, but there had not been a review since 2011 so we were a bit nervous. I mean, the place had a high rating, but a lot could have changed in those years. Fast forward to today, my boyfriend has been going to the barbershop for a few months and is happy with the service. He gets his hair cut by Johnny or the Samoan guy(can’t recall his name) but they’re both great! A haircut is $ 25 and they do a nice job! The only complaint would be the length of time it takes to cut. They’re on the slower side, much slower side… which knocked the rating down to 3.5 stars. I’d also recommend calling ahead of time and making an appointment. Hopefully this helps the next person so you can have one less thing to worry about!

Had my haircut here once. They do not really accept walk-ins, so it is best to make an appointment. The barbershop also specializes in more ethnic haircuts, but they will do any type of hair. The haircut took a little bit longer than I was used to, but that was only because the barber was VERY methodical and very thorough. It was one of the best haircuts I’ve had. The price was reasonable and on par with what you would expect from your corner barbershop The only negative comment I had is that it is probably not the best environments for young children… given the magazine selection.

I’m a regular here… Rule #1 is this. Always call & make an appointment before you come in. It’ll be a lot easier on yourself, because they are very busy. You can walk-in, but the wait is much longer than if you would have called ahead of time. Their cuts are worth your while though. There are three main barbers who cut here, Johnny(owner), Reason, & a third guy who’s name I don’t remember. Reason cuts my hair, & is one of the best around. He takes his time, & delivers exactly what you ask for in a hair cut. I’m pretty sure Johnny, & the third guy are great too. Simply put… If you want your hair cut done right, come here. If you want a wack hair cut, go somewhere else. This place is better than any other spot in King County, Snohomish, Pierce, or any other county in the NW you can think of to get your hair cut at. People don’t lie about the kind of haircut they get. And they especially wouldn’t say they got a good one when it really was a bad one. These dudes are that good at what they do. So go try them out. You’ll be back if you do.

AH yeah, I like how I go there at 1:30pm and they don’t except walk-in’s. What barber shop doesn’t except walk-in’s? Granted it was a Saturday afternoon but I mean come on. There was 3 dudes in the chairs but no one waiting. If this was the hood I could have waited and got my hair cut. I would give them no stars but Unilocal ain’t having it. They lost my 20 bucks

Great shop. Johnny cut my hair and he is was really friendly. I’m probably the squarest dude in Greenwood, but we had a good chat and he gave me a great haircut.

I have been a getting my hair cut here for almost 3 years and it’s for a reason. It’s not too expensive, it’s not too fancy and the haircuts are great. I’ve seen seniors, toddlers, and everyone in between getting cuts here. They have a TV, stereo, good conversation and good skills. That’s all you need.

Johnny’s is a short ride on the 5, which stops directly in front of the shop. The best part about Johnny’s for me is that they have great clean cuts in an easily accessible neighborhood. The staff is extremely friendly, the shop is clean, and the wait times aren’t bad. Even if you have to wait, Johnny’s provides some amenities to keep your attention. They usually have a game on the tv, an xbox with various games, and good old fashioned conversation. Your best best, however, is to call ahead because it seems like they fill up quickly, especially on the weekends. Another plus is that Andrew got my cut right the first time I’d been in the shop, something I am always nervous about whenever I go anywhere new. If you’re new to Seattle or don’t like your current shop, give Johnny’s a shot and you won’t be disappointed. I’m sure that I’ll be back for a second, third, etc.

I used to drive(from Greenwood) all the way to Renton to get my hair cut when I discovered this place and decided to go in. The guys are very friendly and they can definitely cut hair! There are 3 barbers, and they cut all types(ethnicities) of hair. I am Black, but I frequently see White, Hispanic, and Asian guys there. It’s not the absolute quickest haircut I’ve gotten, but that’s because they take their time to give a really good haircut! If you are going to «SuperCuts» or some chain barbershop like that, do yourself a favor and give Johnny’s Barbershop a try!
