Johnnie M.

Business Owner

Dr. Johnnie McKinley is President of

and Principal Consultant in The JMA Group. McKinley has more than 30 years experience in state and district

educational administration; providing staff supervision, mentoring and executive coaching, program development,

grants management and program evaluation for nonprofits and school throughout the U.S., Europe, Mexico,

Canada, and Singapore.

As Grant Writer, Program/​Project Manager, and Program Evaluator in Puyallup School District, developing

curricula, program plans, and submitting competitive funding proposals to state and federal funders, she procured

repeated project awards for, and evaluated school district programs with budgets totaling over $ 4.7

million. As Program Manager for Western Washington for the WA State Office of the Superintendent of Public

Instructions Asst. Supt. for Teacher Certification and Community Outreach, she co-​managed a project to develop

a coherent state system for recruiting and maintaining a diverse teacher corps
