Ja is such a sweetheart! She did makeup for my wedding on Sept 19 (so this review is overdue!), and was excellent to work with. I’m not one to wear much makeup on a daily basis and was afraid of it making me look over-​done and not like myself. Of course, I wanted to look like a bride, but still clean and fresh — like myself, but just bumped up a couple levels. Because I had a long day (a Hindu ceremony at 10am and Western ceremony at 5pm), Ja recommended airbrush foundation, which was perfect because it lasted all day, even through tears and didn’t rub off. I’m so happy I did the trial run because it allowed me to go all in with makeup and then decide what edits I wanted to make. Ultimately, we decided to tone things down a bit from trial, to a more neutral look. Ja and I had a 5 min chat on the big day, I showed her some photos and she got to work. Because she knew I was nervous, she was great about talking me through all the steps and paused along the way so I could see if I wanted more. In the end, I was SO HAPPY with both looks and felt comfortable the entire day. She really listening. She was on time, patient with me and my bridal party (4 bridesmaids and 2 moms), was flexible and had a great demeanor about herself. She helped to keep the mood fun and light in the bridal suite. I would recommend her to any gal on her big day.

What a lovely woman! I am an extremely picky person that knows what she DOESN’T like but not what she DOES like — which can make for a hard client to deal with. Ja was awesome (and very patient with me), we didn’t hit it out of the park the first time so she did another trial run with me a few days before my wedding to get it perfect. And we did! She did an excellent job making my face look flawless. She has great products and my makeup lasted all night long. I used a colleague of hers (Ja set it all up) to do our hair (Jessica) and she was so lovely as well. Patient, laid back, and did such a good job giving every lady the hair she wanted. Only things to note was that there were so scheduling hiccups but it was all easily sorted! I would highly recommend her for wedding day makeup!
