In The Groove Events

Mike DJ’d my Wedding last July at the Seattle Aquarium. He was wonderful and easy going. Meeting him in person, I got a good vibe and liked his personality. I wanted to play some songs that were non-​traditional and he was able to get any versions of songs I liked! His prices were reasonable, with many different options/​packages, up-​lighting rentals and he wasn’t pushy at all. He was early to setup and very professional. Everyone had a great time at my wedding… need a good DJ to help with that part ;)

DJ Pablo was the DJ for our church social hall wedding reception. He was extremely accommodating during the booking process and made things easier to plan out by providing a packet for us fill out. I was so stressed and overwhelmed that having this template made it really easy to plan the events of our reception. Their prices are pretty competitive too… since a family member was going to be helping out as the emcee, we were able to get an even better deal. BUT, the most uniquely and special thing was that DJ Pablo did was that he used his drone to shoot some really cool aerial shots of our venue!!! This isn’t typical photographer OR DJ service, and we definitely thought it was extra special and thoughtful for him to add that on. His personality is super chill and as I said, he accommodated our wishes and style of music very well. It was a great pleasure having In the Groove Events at our wedding!:D

Wow! Thanks to in the groove events our party was a hit! After much research and a referral from a friend I chose ITGE for my Wife’s 30^th birthday. They were on time on kept the party moving with all of our favorite music. I will be using them again for my next event!

I’ve had the pleasure of working with these gentlemen at an event I had catered and was simply impressed by their professionalism. From arriving on time to keeping all the guests (both young and old!) happy and dancing the entire time, they were definitely a great hit! I had a Christmas party and Paul was the Dj that supplied all the jams! It was such an amazing time!!! We turned the party into a dance party!!! Paul really knew what music to play to get everyone in the mood and break it down! He was so awesome and really an entertaining individual! He really made my Christmas party even better!!! Mike is the man! He played every song I wanted to hear and then ones I didn’t even know I would love. He is extremely professional, even with over intoxicated event attendees. At some point at my wedding reception, a guest slipped and unplugged the equipment. Mike was so awesome and didn’t skip a beat. Within seconds he had everything repaired and we were back on the dance floor without a flinch. I would recommend In The Groove Events to absolutely anyone in need of a DJ for any type of event. They are awesome!

I have hired In The Groove for multiple events in the past few years. Top notch and Mike played the exact music I wanted the also some surprises that everyone loved. I am looking forward to hiring him again.

Mike was the DJ at our wedding recently, and the party went off with only one hitch (any less and I wouldn’t be hitched!) We had to do most of our communication over email and phone since my wife and I are still long distance, and that worked fine. We didn’t have too many specifics for music, mostly just styles/​genres, and we loved the music he played. We also had a Bagpipe & Drum band there, and he worked well with them. I’d definitely use in the groove again; the music and experience was great, they are laid back but professional, and significantly less expensive than some other options I researched.

Mike is the DJ and Summer is the Manager (who is also Mike’s wife) of In The Groove Events. We meet with them at a nearby coffee shop to go over the DJ package options for our wedding. Mike bought out a brochure to go over the details but many of the information on there was incorrect or needed updating. I thought that was a little odd and they could have been better prepared. But Mike repeatedly assured us that it would turn out great so we decided to pursue them. We were close to signing the contract and working out some of the details when all of the sudden I stopped hearing from them. So I ended up going with another DJ who was more responsive and thorough. It wasn’t until many weeks later that I heard from them and they thought we were going with them even though we didn’t finalize and sign the contract. Unfortunately it all ended very badly where I got emails and voice messages about supposedly not following through.
Originally I contacted In the Groove Events because a friend had booked them for their wedding. By the time I went to my friend’s wedding this was all in the past and got to see Mike actually DJ. He’s actually pretty decent and enjoyed his music but would highly suggest to improve on the professionalism.

They did my wedding, and absolutely blew it away! Mike knew exactly how to get people to actually want to dance, and he catered all the music around exactly what my husband and I loved.
We aren’t big fans of normal wedding music, so Mike set us up with an incredible set of original tracks that we danced for a good 4 hours to! Even though it was ours, we are pretty sure that Mike helped us make it the most fun wedding we’ve ever been to.

GREAT COMPANY! Dj Mike was super professional and friendly he kept the jams coming all night, very happy with this service and would recommend to anybody needing a professional that knows what they are doing.

Mike Smith is one of the more versatile DJs around. He is charismatic and is a natural to teach others how to be a DJ. His many years and many miles make him a perfect instructor to learn the ropes from.

So happy I booked In The Groove Events for my buddy’s Sept. 17^th wedding! Mike was our DJ and he rocked the party! As the best man, I was helping the the groom choose a DJ for the reception. I felt very confident with Mike from the beginning. The reason is because prior to booking In The Groove Events, we looked at other DJs in the area and they all for the most part seemed a little sketchy. I don’t know how people do business in the field, but most DJs we spoke to wanted the money all upfront.
DJ Mike had thousands of songs from all genres of music. The best thing about DJ Mike is that he understands and can recommend what type of music should be played. I would recommend In The Groove Events to anyone… DJ Mike kicked ass!

I was enlisted by some old friends in Seattle who needed help marketing their new business. In addition to the typical bag of promotional tricks, I thought a really killer launch party would set them off in style. But this was a unique challenge since I was on the other side of the country.
For my events, music can make or break the event, and I’m no easy critic. After vetting out some of Seattle’s so-​called top DJs who left me unimpressed and uninspired, one of the business owners said Mike was a regular on the West Coast club circuit, and since he was based in Seattle, suggested I check him out. I was not disappointed.
Mike was not just an outstanding DJ, but a true partner in ensuring the entire event was a success — from making sure the music selection was appropriate for the atmosphere we were trying to cultivate right down to bringing his own legion of followers to the event. He was professional, knowledgeable and even gave me a recommendation for a stylist for our models who was absolutely perfect.
I was beyond satisfied. I can’t tell you how many compliments I got on the event! For a competitive price, I felt like I really got a big bang for my buck. Plus, he’s a super nice, easy going guy who seemed to put everyone at ease when tensions arose (as they often do when executing an event).
I don’t know if I’ll be spearheading any more events in Seattle, but I’d hire him for another event in a heartbeat and I’d strongly recommend him to other event planners who need a no-​nonsense professional.
