Dennis is probably the best barber I’ve ever had. Friendly and detail oriented, he knows how to give a good cut and also adapt to his clients tastes. I gave him a very vague idea of what I wanted and got a haircut so good that I got a compliment from a total stranger a few hours later. Will be coming back for more!

Go see Sharell! She is super knowledgable about cutting to get your hair to lay just right and a pro at color.
It is obvious the owners take pride in their salon and staff. Reasonably priced for the area and great atmosphere.

Before Dennis, I never had a consistent barber– I hopped around from Rudy’s to EZ Chair Barbershop to a couple places in the ID. In the past year, Dennis has been able to take my typical short spiky Asian hair and transform it into a long, voluminous easy-​to-​manage style. Dennis is attentive to detail and clearly knowledgeable and passionate about his craft. He is also a pleasure to chat with especially after a long day at work.
House of Style is a great place. The staff are friendly and they’ll offer coffee, biscotti or other snacks. Hope to be coming back here for years to come!

Dennis cut my hair for nearly five years before I left Seattle and is one of the things I miss most. He’s probably the most detail-​oriented barbers I’ve ever had. He refuses to give a bad haircut and won’t quit until he does it right. He even contacted once after a cut when he felt like he didn’t do his best. I can be very particular about my hair and I never have to worry with Dennis cutting my hair. I could probably take a nap in his chair and wake up with the best cut. He really takes his time (cuts can take from 30 mins to a hour, so plan/​pay the meter accordingly), so you never feel like your barber is rushing. Really fun to talk to (ask him anything about Law & Order SVU) and will make sure you leave happy. I plan on visiting him whenever I come back to town.

In town for work and found house of gents… nice classy, upscale barbershop. Dillon took good care of me, and was very thorough. Very good experience, highly recommend Dillon and the shop.

Just outstanding, skilled, attentive, no-​nonsense good hair. Go here, don’t ever regret a haircut again.

Brooke, Sharell, and everyone else here took such fabulous care of my 3 bridesmaids and me on my wedding day! From the moment we arrived we were made to feel relaxed and pampered. Our hair and makeup was beautiful without being ‘over-​done’. The whole experience was such a treat, thank you so much for helping to make our day so special!

I did not like IRENE’s service. First off, she was 30 minutes late. I just wanted a wavy perm to add volume to my hair. I’m pregnant and told her not to put the solution on my scalp if possible but she ended up pouring it all over my scalp anyway. After she curled my hair which looked really tight and not wavy at all, she thought it should be trimmed. She should have trimmed my hair before she curled it because that’s just how you do it. she charged me $ 55 for a five minute trim that I didn’t need. That’s just terrible. The whole thing cost me $ 260 including tip. I should’nt have given her any tip and I regretted it. So never go to this place and especially do not book with IRENE!

Brooke has completely changed the way I feel about my hair. I no longer want to shave my head because I can’t handle another bad hair day. I actually love my hair. She has helped me exceed my hair goals because she truly is talented. If you have unmanageable or frizzy hair you have to get a Keratin Treatment… it is the biggest game changer!

I’ve been here twice for haircuts. I have super long straight layered hair with side bangs. I’ve seen two stylists at House of Style – Guy and Irene. Both did a great job! Both very friendly and sweet, and took the time to talk to me about what I wanted and figure out what suited my style and face shape. I like the ambience, too. It’s clean and stylish without being over the top or pretentious. Will most likely be my go-​to salon for the foreseeable future.

I work on a cruise ship and we dock out of Seattle on Sundays. I was in desperate need of a haircut so I googled places near the port that were open on Sundays and came across House of Style. It’s obviously hard to try a new salon, but the Unilocal reviews gave me confidence.
It was great I was able to make an appt online (no cell service on the ship), so I did that a couple days in advance and then headed to House of Style that Sunday.
It was close to the ship, and Sharrell was great. My hair isn’t very complicated… just needed a good trim and some layers, but overall I was very pleased with my experience!
I’ve recommended to some of my other shipmates who are also in need of some hair help!

I had very unpleasant experience here. Extremely bad customer service. I scheduled an appointment for my lunch break. I arrived five minutes prior to the scheduled time. Watched the stylist sit on a couch and chat with someone else for 20 minutes. I couldn’t wait any longer, so I just walked out. Which I have never done before!
Only after I left did they notify me that my stylist was interviewing someone. I wish they would have communicated that prior or while I was waiting, so I could have seen someone else. They did offer me a free haircut, but of course I was getting it done for a event that night and didn’t have time to reschedule. I walked over to Vain a few blocks away and they took me in (really nice people — FYI).
It was scary to see a manager ignoring a potential new client like that. I will NOT be recommending this place to any of my friends. Don’t go here!

BRENDA is such a gem! She not only is such a talented colorist, but she can manage my extremely curly texture as well! I’m a natural dark haired curly girl who wants to be J. Lo blonde (duh!) Just like every other babe, and she has me blonde as a beach bunny and my curls are still so healthy and bouncy! Any color junkies like me need to come see BRENDA! She’s kind and sweet and makes me beautiful! Xoxo

So where do I begin? Chris is the BEST!!!
First, he greets you with an awesome smile and takes you to the station, where all the magic starts… he does a consult and really listens to what you want & gives suggestions at the same time. He really thinks about the overall picture, the client and what will be the best look for you! Which I loved!!!
And, can I just say he gives the best head massage in the world!!! Nearly fell asleep.

Oh yes! Salon is clean and has a good/​fun vibe. You know for me it’s got to be clean!

I love this place! I am a girl with a pixie cut and if you had this cut before you know a couple of things to be true. 1– its hard to find a person that truly understands the cut 2– your going in frequently to get your hair cut. 3– if done incorrectly you end up with a funky un even mop.
Well at House of Style, not only did my cut turn out fabulous but I had a lot of fun there. I will be returning often and hope that you as a reader consider going there too.

Brooke is amazing!!! She is the real deal, she works her sheers like a magical wand and gives me the perfect cut every time. Her color skills are beyond amazing I love my hair every time. I will never go to anyone else ever again.

Irene is more than an hairstylist. She is a miracle worker. She has restored my hair from heat damage and breakage to a much much better place. I have fine/​thick hair that needs a lot of attention and she understands my needs and is always working with me to find out what works best for me. One of the the things I love is how she works with such a diverse clientele. Curtly, straight, short, long, African-​American, Asian and everything else in between. She does it all and I’m so grateful to have found her.

This has been my spot for almost a year… The first time I walked in, the owner took care of me and he was amazing, reason why I came back; And then… I was lucky enough to met Irene… She knows exactly what I need!!! I move around a lot, I told her already, I’m taking her with me … Love house of Style (specially we love Irene)!!!
