History

Established in 1992.

The Hotel Vintage is a celebration of Washington wine, with each room dedicated to a vibrant Washington Winery. This theme is carried throughout the hotel. Our guests are often surprised to meet our winery partners, who are hosting our evening managers reception — where we feature not only fabulous Washington Wine but the experience of learning more about passion of wine tasting. This luxury Seattle hotel is one of Seattles’ first «boutique hotels».Kimpton Hotels renovated a historic brick building on 5th Avenue and Spring Street, opening our doors August 1992. It is across from the Seattle Public Library, one of Seattle’s most photographed tourist attractions. Just two blocks from the 5th Avenue Theatre, centrally located in the heart of Seattle, four blocks from the Seattle Convention Center, the financial, shopping, entertainment district. Easy Access on and off I — 5 from Seattle Tacoma International Airport, 2 blocks up from the 3rd Avenue Light Rail station.

I was always fascinated with hotels and hospitality growing up, so when it came time to go to college and choose a major, I chose hotels and hospitality and graduated with a Hotel Administration degree from UNLV in 2003. I’ve been working in the hotel industry for almost thirteen years now, nine of which have been with Kimpton Hotels. I started with Kimpton as a front office manager and also spent time in executive housekeeper and assistant general manager roles at both The Alexis and Hotel Monaco Seattle before moving to The Grand Hotel in Minneapolis in 2012 as general manager. I was at The Grand for nearly three and a half years before moving back home to Seattle to take the general manager role at Hotel Vintage in October of 2015. I am so proud to represent Kimpton and our lovely little Hotel Vintage!

My buddy and I stayed in this resort for a week last summer on our trip to Seattle. I was actually excited about it because it seemed stunning and it was across the road from the Seattle Central Library. Our room was extremely lavish and open. The bed would need to have been the most comfy bed I Have ever slept in. We ordered room service twice from Tulios, and while the food was great, it was overpriced. We located a Subway nearby and it was a terrific choice. The pictures were also ridiculously overpriced and as much as we tried, we could not locate a video rental place everywhere. We eventually ended up purchasing a few DVDs to watch late at night. Overall, the service was good, the rooms were fine, and the place was excellent; we were in walking distance of a group of excellent eateries and stores. I want to return on my next trip to Seattle.

I was disappointed, checked it for one tight after visiting Victoria CB– stayed at the Fairmont Empress. It was an impromptu decision to stay in Seattle instead of going to gig harbor for the night. Checked in at 8:45pm, had few drinks at the bar. When I went to the room, called for dining room service. They do not have room service, they brought me a list of Restaurants that delivers, there free only few that was still open at the time. Ordered Chinese — the worst part of the stay … The bathroom smells, stale urine. I had to hold my breath while brushed my teeth — at this time I was so tired to call and complaint. Shut the door, went to bed.
Woke up and sadly, I’m hesitant to use the br– I took a shower hoping the smell would go away, it didn’t. I got ready, called the front desk to notify them about the bathroom smell and asked if someone can come to the room, they apologized and offered to compensate– they compensated the 2 glasses of wine I charged from the bar, but of course charged me $ 7 for the bottled water I told them I drank
With the cost is the same as W and few $$ I would stay at the W or Fairmont —

I’ve stayed here twice.
The first time, my husband and I stayed here on our wedding night. They were so friendly and sent up a bottle of champagne and a congratulations note.
We had to stay downtown this past weekend so I thought I’d book the same place. Everyone was just as friendly. Love the free wine hour they have from 5 – 6 p.m. It’s a small space for the amount of people that were participating, but it’s not bad. The rooms are clean, modern décor, comfortable bed.
They did charge us for parking even though we didn’t park, but a quick call cleared that up. If we were parking, it’s super expensive in my opinion ($ 51). Maybe that’s comparable now for rest of downtown Seattle though, who knows.
Overall it was a good experience and I’d stay here again.

I Love Kimpton hotels and always try and find one when I’m traveling, I recently stayed at hotel Vintage in Seattle and I was reminded the entire stay why I’m so loyal to this brand. I had a request for firm foam pillows and when we arrived and I went to check in and the front desk agent asked if I had any allergies to feathers because they were preparing a room especially for me with no feather bedding.
When I got to my room there was a pile of different firm pillows for me find just the right one.
This may sound like not a big deal but I stay in hotels about 50 nights a year and this is the first time someone went above and beyond and I didn’t have to call and ask again for special pillows.
Super friendly staff, very clean hotel, nice size rooms and bathrooms.
The restaurant there is 5 star ! Love Nathan and Katie they are fantastic !
Food was excellent, wonderful wine selection that Nathan helped us with.
The beet salad and The swordfish were wonderful!!!
I will be back !

Hotel Vintage is probably the next best hotel to the Ritz in terms of customer service and for the price you pay. The receptionists were always nice and they always acknowledge your existence when you’re walking by. 90% of the time, there was a guy opening the door for you each time you entered or left the hotel. In the lobby, Hotel Vintage provided coffee in the mornings, hot chocolates in the afternoons, and free local wine EVERY night. Basically, they make sure you’re happy. :) The bed and pillows were really comfy and the blackout curtains helped me sleep in.
The room was incredibly adorable with a purple couch, décor made of corks, and big lamps. If you decide to go green and skip on housekeeping, you get a $ 5 credit towards room service. Don’t even get me started on the room service from their Tulio restaurant downstairs. I had breakfast delivered to my room one morning that had eggs over medium, bacon, breakfast potatoes, and toast and everything tasted sooo fresh! For dinner one time, I also had them bring sweet potato gnocci and sausage orecchiette. The food is just phenomenal. Another thing I liked was how the receptionist called me the night before I checked out to offer a town car to take me to the airport the next morning. The next morning, the car was there and ready to go. Yet again, great service!
The hotel is located diagonally from the Seattle Public Library and is within walking distance to Pike Place and Pacific Place and other Downtown Seattle destinations. The only complaints I have is that there are not a lot of plugs in the room (I only found two extra plugs at the desk, none next to the bed) and they only have 1 treadmill in their gym so my husband and I couldn’t run together. Also, the wi-​fi required signing up for a free Kimpton account which was a slight hassle at the beginning during set-​up, but was fine from then on.
Overall, Hotel Vintage has a cute, boutique feel, and they made my 4-​day stay very enjoyable.

Enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The people working the front desk were very nice and welcoming. I love how they are pet friendly and have a little chalk board with the pets name on it. The room was big but the bathroom was too small. You could literally reach for everything while sitting on the toilet lol
Great location, in the middle of the city, everything was in walking distance. I would definetly return and stay here again!

Beautifully maintained hotel, very helpful staff and who doesn’t love free local wine?
Two flaws:
No free wifi
No coffee machine in the room! Gar! (Although they’ll bring you a Kuerig upon request and there’s free coffee downstairs.)

I love wine more than the average bear. What would make me happier than sleeping in an establishment just as obsessed with wine as I am? NOTHING. That, compounded with the fact that we booked this 15 minutes prior to our arrival because we found out our Air B&B we were initially supposed to stay was haunted as f — . So imagine my elation when we stepped foot into a modern, sleek, most-​likely-​not-​haunted hotel. I also noticed they are dog friendly, and although I don’t travel with my gigantic canine, it was much appreciated. The front desk couldn’t have been more welcoming and tolerated our temporary adrenaline-​ridden insanity. They even sent up a nice Syrah and a birthday cake chocolate bar as a special birthday gift! I thought the room was pretty spacious, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The bathroom is tight BUT, as many below have mentioned, they have Bigelow products yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaas.
I can’t speak much about the location of the hotel, as the only thing we were concerned about was getting far away from the air B&B, but it was super close to the University Ave Link station for easy transport to the airport. I look forward to coming back here one day, preferably with my dog.

Lovely large rooms and other amenities (they supplied me with a heating pad on a cold, rainy night and they have Bigelow products) as well as friendly little happy hour with free wine and snacks. Boo for the lack of free wifi, yay for the great location (a three minute walk from the University light rail, for example). Definitely a comfortable and convenient place to stay in Seattle.

I hadn’t stayed here before but I was traveling with my dog a needed a last minute pet friendly hotel and that’s how I found it.
Pet friendly was an understatement.
They offered pet bowls, beds, and other per services as not cost and had treats available as well.
The rooms are nice, especially if you’re a wine fan. I enjoyed all of the staff who were so friendly and helpful.

The staff was extremely friendly, the hotel was very clean and modern and our king sized room was decently sized, and the location was close to the Pike Place Market and to Pioneer Square. I loved the wine happy hours every evening and discovered some great Washington wine that I can’t wait to purchase out east. If I’m ever back in Seattle, I’ll definitely be staying here again!

I’d recommended Hotel Vintage to a couple of very dear friends who were celebrating a recent marriage and a birthday with a Seattle visit. You made them feel so very welcome at check-​in with a surprise room upgrade on that rainy day. The complimentary gift basket and handwritten note delivered to their room was an extraordinary thoughtful touch.
(The standard issue leopard print robes were also a big hit!)

This is between 3 or a 4 star. It is a small boutique hotel. It seems odd to have a small bathtub/​shower in this type of establishment instead of a bigger shower. The bathroom was tiny. The lobby was also very small.
The first day we were gone until 4 or 5 and they still hadn’t cleaned our room. She came in to clean as I’m trying to lay there to relax.
I suggest never really looking at the bill because it will make you a little ill at how much you are nickel and dimed. Such is the case when staying in any hotel these days however.
I want to end by saying that the staff were very nice.

I have no major complaints about my stay at Hotel Vintage (aka Vintage Park Hotel, at least according to the shuttle bus service). This is a lovely boutique hotel conveniently located in downtown Seattle.
All of the staff I encountered were very pleasant and personable, although I’m sure we frustrated a couple of the valet attendants with our indecisiveness.
The hotel, as the name may suggest, has a wine theme, with artwork and quotes all over the property about the joys of wine. Even each room is named after a winery. Our room was spacious and well decorated– we especially appreciated the purple couch and full length mirror (important for 2 fashion conscious women). The lighting could be a bit brighter– the accent wall is also a dark purple, and so the room seemed a bit dark. There also didn’t seem to be many outlets around the room. A few more towels would have been nice as well.
The complementary wine hour from 5p-​6p and coffee/​tea in the morning was also a very nice touch. They have a small reception area with seating right off of the lobby.
My only complaint is that room service comes from the adjoining Italian restaurant, and of course they are busy in the evenings, so I wasn’t able to even get in touch with room service to place an order. Some of the nearby places deliver, so I didn’t go hungry.
Otherwise, Hotel Vintage was a lovely property and I had a very nice stay.

Probably one of the best stays we’ve ever had at a hotel.
It all began from the minute we stepped into the place. We had arrived extremely early, probably around 11 a.m. However, the staff was extremely gracious and gave us a room right away. Furthermore, I noticed that they had a little chalkboard that said, «Hotel Vintage welcomes…» and then a bunch of names. One of the names written down was «Alfie», and I thought, «Wait a second, my dog’s name is Alfie!» Lo and behold, they were welcoming all their furry visitors at the front desk. Such a small gesture, but incredibly welcoming. This set the tone for our whole stay there. They were so welcoming to Alfie, our furry baby, and even gave him a welcoming package when we checked in.
Our room was fantastic. It was HUGE. Our friends from Seattle came to get dinner with us in downtown, and they were extremely shocked at how big our room was. On top of that, they provided C&O Bigelow toiletries. Um, yes please!
Their room service was very delicious as well. In fact, it’s just the fancy restaurant downstairs, Tulio. It was probably one of the fancier room service dinners I’ve had. Just look at the Unilocal reviews for Tulio and you’ll see for yourself.
Location was extremely fantastic too. Definitely walking distance to Pike Place and the shopping area downtown. If you want to visit the Space Needle and Chihuly Garden, I would recommend just walking to the monorail (which is not far away either!). It is also basically across the street from the beautiful Seattle Public Library.
FURTHERMORE (yes, i know, the compliments are endless), they had free wine tasting from 5−6pm and then port and truffles (although the truffles disappeared after the 3rd night we stayed… but really, I’m in no position to complain) from 9:30 — 10:30pm EVERY NIGHT.
Checkout was incredibly late too. I think 11am or 12 pm. AMAZING. The price was very reasonable too, especially given we were in the heart of downtown. We stayed here for 5 nights and enjoyed every minute of it.
Tip: Ask the front desk to figure out the best route to get to Pike Place. If you go down the wrong street, the walk can get pretty steep. I think the best way is to go down 5th Ave and turn left on Pine.

Absolutely the most accommodating and comfortable hotel ever!!!
I had to travel for business and just my luck came down with the flu the day before I got here– couldn’t cancel the trip so bad to travel anyways. I was so fortunate to have been booked at the Vintage. My colleague that joined me the day after was also just starting to get sick.
When they found out we were both under the weather (a call I made downstairs for some room service) they sent up a Get Well Soon complementary service package (see photo) and went above and beyond by sending 2 people up with two full trays of «stuff” — along with a sweet note.
Thank you Hotel Vintage not only is your hotel just awesome, your beds comfortable and your service immaculate– but, you made a really miserable week pretty comfortable!

I like Kimpton hotels. While they have that boutique feel to them, the chain has enough of its shit together that I generally know what I’m going to get when I stay in one. Hotel Vintage is no exception to this rule.
This little Kimpton property is right in the heart of downtown, and sports a jaunty wine theme. The decorations are purple and gray, the rooms are named after local and regional wineries, and as with every Kimpton, they offer the 5pm wine hour. The fittings and decorations are tasteful, fun, and in good shape. Our corner King (thanks for the upgrade!) was spacious, clean, and had a decent view. Staff was friendly and on point. And the restaurant in the lobby isn’t half bad.
Parking is pretty expensive here ($ 39 for overnight valet) so I’d look for street options, especially if staying Sat-​Sun, since parking downtown is free on Sundays. However if you could book a package that includes valet, you’ll be doing well. We pricelined this hotel in the offseason for $ 100, and at that low rate, the room was a helluva steal. I’d pay up to $ 100 more for the same room. Especially given the quality of everything and the location.
All in all, a great example of Kimpton quality.

Awesome hotel in the Seattle area, and definitely one of the best Kimptons I’ve stayed at to date (but then all again, all Kimptons in general are great!). Stayed here a few weeks ago for one night and had an enjoyable time here. Hotel Vintage is very central, in the heart of downtown and near all the top Seattle tourist spots. Staff here are friendly and definitely represent and provide the legendary Kimpton customer service and hospitality.
I arrived shortly after typical check-​in time, roughly around 330PM. At that time, my room (I was upgraded to a King Premier room) was all ready and prepped with a welcome amenity already waiting for me inside. Typically most Kimpton properties that I’ve visited deliver their welcome amenities around 5−6pm, so this was one of they few experiences where the welcome amenity was delivered much earlier, which was a nice touch!
The King Premier room was pretty spacious, which offered a large sitting area that included both a large sitting chair, sofa bed, and a large roomy desk with computer chair; a very comfortable bed; and a somewhat small but functional bathroom, furnished with the Kimpton line of CO Bigelow bath amenities.
As far as I know, Hotel Vintage does not have any suite rooms, as its fanciest room available for booking is the King Reserve Room, which is slightly larger than the King Premier room but includes an Executive Amenties package. Despite not having any true suite options for booking or upgrade, the Hotel Vintage still does a fine job with its well appointed and furnished rooms.
Overall, I had a great experience here and hope to stay again in the future!
