Candace Kukino has been a blessing over the years and truly holds the philosophy of HSDC close to her heart. The cost of hearing aids and services is high, and so finding HSDC as a child was wonderful because the professionals all cared. Candace came in and immediately has become an all-​time favorite audiologist for me and for others who fill the waiting rooms awaiting her care. Her precision and attention to detail and vast knowledge are astounding as no other audiologist usually pays attention to the «little things» the way she does. Adjusting a setting that someone else doesn’t dare touch or trying out a new style earmold have been life-​changers that have been recommended by her because of her unique ability and also desire to solve specific issues with fittings and do so right away. By not delegating care to other professionals and getting the companies (hearing aid, earmold makers) on the phone when needed, she is able to make precise adjustments that are just right. For anyone who needs affordable care, please check out HSDC and its non-​profit nature that it truly lives by. Candace walks the walk and I’m thrilled she has stayed with HSDC for the years I’ve been there.

Very good preschool that emphasizes on speech and language for children.
Children also have one on one speech therapy sessions every week.
Classroom lessons are based on different themes (usually changed every 2 – 3 weeks).
Small size class room makes learning and teaching easier.

Today I picked up my new hearing aids at HSDC. This is the second time I have worked with HSDC this year and I am quite impressed. I have dealt with Ben, Claire, and Chloe. These three wonderful individuals have made for meetings that I won’t soon forget. They have all been extremely nice and very knowledgeable in their respective trades. Working with these three people has been very enjoyable and makes me want to come back to HSDC for all of my hearing needs. Thanks, again, HSDC!

After 18 months of instruction, my daughter finished speech therapy here with all goals met and her performance better than other kids her age. Everyone has been super nice, even dealing with a blended family and the occasional communication breakdown that that entails.
The only thing that ever confused me is that if you call the front desk, you have to request «hearing» or «speech» to be rerouted to another front-​desk-​type-​person. Heh, it’s a small thing to quibble about!
They also have summer camps for younger kids (up to age 5) for both able kids and kids who need a bit of help on their speech, and I highly recommend these camps for their blend of imaginative play and learning (while still having fun!).
