Have A Heart Cafe

Olivia at the front desk is consistently unfriendly, uninviting, and unprofessional. There have been several occasions where she is distracted and very unhelpful. I have started going to a different location because of the several bad experiences with her. Saying hello to someone when they walk in the door when they greet you first should be the bare min requirement for someone in a position like hers. I used to think it would impossible to have a bad experience at a dispensary. Olivia makes that possible. However, I wont let my bad experiences with her change my rating– Have a Heart doesn’t deserve that.
Nicole is the BEST. the best. She knows her stuff and goes above and beyond. Her and Diane are the reason I continue to go back. You girls rock! Been coming here for years and its staff like that that makes this place the best dispensary in the city.

Five stars said it ALL. Their production qualities, vibe environment, vibe of employees, pricing, and services are five star. It’s my top favorite store.

Any time I come into the café, it’s always a nice experience. Every Have a Heart location I’ve visited has been excellent. Upbeat staff who knows what they are talking about and all seem like real, genuine people. If I’ve had a stressful day, I always leave feeling much better.

I’m living again thanks to Have a Heart and Tyler. Knowledgeable, empathetic, saved my life. Ask for Tyler, he’s the best in the business.

I’m super impressed with this dispensary. Cozy couches and big screen tv in the waiting area. I’m not into dabs but they have a pretty serious Dab bar. The place is always being upgraded as well. As far as the staff goes all I can say is they ROCK! Super friendly and they actually know abou their products. So many dispensaries don’t have trained staff. This one is full of informed employees. It’s my go to spot because they do things things the right way. Mahalo!

This café is everything I want when involving great marijuana; ice tea and space. Each time I leave the café I feel sheer pleasure. The staff is excellent; top notch on customer service and the space has a nice environment for the medical marijuana patient. I rented the space for a private party; simply the best place for any type of celebration.

Even if I didn’t live 2 blocks away, Have a Heart Café would still be my go-​to spot in the U District because I always have a great experience there. Every single person on staff is friendly and helpful, the medicine is of very high quality, and you can medicate on site (smoking, vaporization, and dabbing). I’m a huge fan of Amsterdam coffeeshops, so I love places where I can take my time, roll a joint, then burn it down. It can also be a great way to meet people or have your friends join you for a smoke (if they’re also medical patients).
This sounds lame, but sometimes their TVs are really, really loud. Sometimes there will be 3 different things on, and you hear all of them (plus music playing in the background), and it can be kind of anxiety-​inducing. I appreciate the entertainment, but I wish they’d be more mindful of the volume sometimes… and this is coming from a 20-​something metalhead ;P Imagine how elder, more sensitive patients must feel.
My major complaint would be their lack of a «menu board» of some kind. I like to see a list of available strains written out, organized by type and price/​potency (ideally specifying proportions of indica and sativa as opposed to generalizing some strains as simply «hybrid»), but Have a Heart Café just has all their flowers in jars across 3 or 4 separate shelving units with no [immediately evident] rhyme or reason as to how they’re organized. Not even color coding. I have to take my time and read the labels on every single jar before I ask to take a look at a couple of strains; it would save everyone time if I could look at a designated menu for indica, check the names for something I know or presume will suit my needs, and proceed from there… that reduces my shopping time from about 5 minutes down to 1 minute.
I specifically reserve one star for menu organization in my reviews, so unfortunately I can’t give Have a Heart a perfect score :/​Hopefully that will change very soon, because I love this spot and want to be able to give it 5 stars.

* No menu or organization
* Sometimes excessive noise pollution

This café has been a saving grace for me. Everyone working there has been super friendly. When you live in a smoke free building, there’s only so. many places I can go so the café environment has been very fun, relaxed and welcoming. The whole staff is very chill. Make sure to have your authorization!

The food was just okay. The meds were okay. The vape bar was okay. I wasn’t really wow’d but they are probably the only place in town to find all three.
