It’s a good neighborhood Mexican restaurant. I enjoy the salsa. Nice and spicy. You shouldn’t come here for fine Mexican dining, but it’s a great spot for a cheap and casual dinner. Drink a cerveza and relax!

Warm friendly service. Fantastic chips and salsa. The mexican pizza was fantastic. I think all the people leaving bad reviews were just rude to the staff and so they got poor service. Serves them right.

I love this place. Friendly, great prices. It’s a family run and owned restaurant. if you have a problem, ask for Maria or Jose. And if they aren’t thee ask if their son is there. If for some reason they aren’t there, ask what day they will be in and call them, let them know what problems you had. Or leave a note for them. Ask them to call you and confirm they got your note. Never hurts to ask. If Maria or Jose is there, they will talk to you and are very understanding and so is their son. I’ve been going there for so long, everyone takes good care of me. Even if I don’t go in for a month or two. You don’t have to order food to order drinks. The last time I was there, one person ask that her food be heated a little more, she was correct, however, it was okay too. I wouldn’t have been wrong to have sent it back but it was also okay, and I was hungry. And the food was so good.

Not bad. Not great either. They did a good job of listening about excluding certain things in my order due to my going-to-Hawaii crash diet. The server was very nice! I actually quite liked the Camarones Él Puerto. My boyfriend’s fajita salad looked really plain and he said it wasn’t filling. You’re not going to be blown away by it, but it’s pretty standard, no frills, Mexican American food.

Bland, unfriendly staff, marguerita was clearly a cheap mix(and no salt), salsa is basically tomato juice with large pieces of onion, loud bad music, probably the worst Mexican restaurant I’ve ever been to.

I have trouble understanding the reviews that are so negative about this place. Of course you’re not going to find truly authentic Mexican food in a restaurant like this. But, for what it is, it’s pretty tasty. The prices are affordable and I always get a couple meals out of my go-to dish(arroz con pollo or arroz con camarones). Their salsa is really good as well – some other Mexican restaurants I go to have fairly bland salsa, but the salsa here is spicy and flavorful with lots of cilantro. I actually really enjoy their margaritas as well – their peach one is definitely worth a try. The reason I docked a star is just the service. We generally go for happy hour drinks, sit in the bar, and get our food to go, but sometimes the service is incredibly slow. The server we frequently get isn’t exactly the friendliest.: once, on a nice day, we asked if we could sit outside and get happy hour drinks there, but he told us rather snottily that happy hour specials were only served in the bar area. We have also made other requests(e.g. extra sauce in a cup to go), and he acts like he’s really inconvenienced by the request. Nonetheless, we enjoy the food and drinks enough to keep going.

A so-so Family Mexican restaurant. I went with my family(2 adults, 3 kids) and the service was slow. Treated myself to a margarita and it was watered down and nothing special. For the price and location, I hoped for more. Went a second time with my Dad for an early afternoon drink and a bite to eat, and getting a second round was like pulling teeth. There was«floaties» in my Dad’s beer, so he asked for another and the guy was kind of a jerk about it. Won’t be back. With so many choices in West Seattle, I won’t be spending my money here a third time.

Meh. is exactly how I would explain this place. The food isn’t horrible but it’s definitely not great. It takes a while to get seated, The restaurant seems to need a little bit of an update(some of the seats are torn, makes for uncomfortable seating when you’re got a full booth). The food is pretty mediocre. But it can hit the spot if you want a quick and easy mexican dinner.

When we first arrived there was no one in sight to seat us– should’ve taken that as a sign. Once sat it took about 15 minutes for our order to be taken– we only ordered nachos and they were a sad excuse for nachos. Soggy, barely any guacamole and sour cream. The only good thing was refillable chips. Won’t be back.

Love the sangria here! Salsa is hot, chips are warm and the carne asada is perfect rare. Great local spot.

Would give this place a –5 if i could! Loud over the top male greeted us. Asked if we were Groupon people. Thanked us for not being GROUPONPEOPLE! What a jerk the way he acted. Food was the worst! No, or very little seasoning. Inconsiderate of person that asked for someting quick to eat becauce of feeling her diabetic condition. The waitress from hell for sure with a bad attitude! Would not set foot in that hell hole again! I live in that neigborhood, and will continue to go to resturant acroos the street. In a nut shell BADFOOD and NASTYATTITUDESERVICE at Guadalajara. Save your gas and $$$…it is also overpriced!!!

Ok… those 2 glowing experiences I had were as good as it was ever going to get. I am not sure what the deal is. But I have been back at least 5 times over the past 3 years since it’s very close to where I live… and I don’t really know what I saw in the place to begin with. Perhaps I should have continued to get the pork chimichanga. Because the chile relleno and burritos were very meh. The prices are also way higher than necessary and it says right on the menu that you only get one free refill on sodas. Really?

I’m from Texas. I know Tex-Mex. This is my go-to-place for Tex Mex. If you want good food, wonderful service, good drinks and neighborhood atmosphere, this is the place. I have been going there since I moved to Seattle from Dallas 5 years ago. They know me, they know what I like and unless I am trying something different they know exactly what my drink is. This is family owned and it shows. The patio is awesome in the summer too. The cheese enchiladas are great! I always get the pinto beans and tons of chips! I love this place. A lot.

Wow, is this place not good. The best thing here is the salsa. Everything else completely lacked in flavor. I had a chicken enchilada, a picadillo enchilada, and a ground beef taco. None of the meats tasted much like anything, the enchilada sauce was non-existent, and to get any type of flavor, I had to douse everything with the salsa. Even the refried beans were not so great. Beyond this, the service was not good at all. We saw a waitress four times: Once when we were seated(which was a good five minutes after we walked in the door, and we were about to leave.), once when we ordered, once when we got our food, and once when we got the check. I had to ask for the one refill I got on my drink. The place wasn’t busy. There was a couple sitting behind us and a couple of dudes off to our left. That was it. So, unless you’re looking for bad mexican food and lousy service, I wouldn’t come here. I suppose it fit the requirements of a restaurant, I exchanged money for something didn’t kill me and made me not hungry. I will not be coming back here, and I highly suggest that you don’t either.

This is a great mom ‘n pop Mexican restaurant. I give three stars for the food overall. We ordered the«fajitas for two» which came with both chicken and steak. I was impressed that they asked how we’d like our steak cooked. It was pretty basic, nothing that blew our socks off. The only part of the meal that I wasn’t totally satisfied with was the guacamole, it was boring and lacked flavor. We had the regular margarita and the strawberry margarita and both were delicious. The extra star is for the service we had. Our server/bartender, whom I also suspect was the owner, was as nice as could be. Very personable and cheery with everyone, including us. Being that it’s close to where we live, I’m sure we’ll be back again.

So basically the 48 oz strawberry margarita is my new favorite thing! *giggles and jumps up and down with joy* One 48 oz margarita is only $ 16.99(I would really suggest SHARING one) and you will be happy as can be! I was at least. So I’m not making any promises but I am suggesting you be happy too! For that price why not?! I must also mention that I recently discovered how absolutely amazing pollo a la crema is here. If you are like me and only order pollo a la crème than you will leave so very joyful and full !
