Drew was absolutely amazing to work with!!! I had been recommended to use him by two of my friends, who also used him at their weddings and were very pleased. I can now see why! The entire process was very smooth with Drew. He is a genuinely great person, and an awesome DJ who knows how to keep the party going :) Would highly recommend for any event. Extremely priced well too… looked around and no one could even compete with his pricing. A+!

My husband and I hired Drew for our wedding/​reception, and we were so glad we did! We had about 200 people, ranging from ages 1 – 90. We all had a great time– music was a big part of that! Drew is detail-​oriented and has great advice if you get stuck (we did!) He is professional, welcoming, and knows how to throw a party! I already recommend him to anyone who needs a DJ.

Our group of friends heads to the Mandarin Gate about once a month for karaōke, and Drew is the reason why. He’s the perfect karaōke host – fun, positive, keeps the energy up, and if you need a little help on a song, he jumps right in to give you some support. We always have a great time and look forward to returning.

I can highly recommend Drew. He is a great DJ and host. He worked with me to figure out my musical tastes and what others at the wedding would enjoy. I was very particular about not having generic wedding songs and not too many slow dances. We went over songs I wanted to definitely hear or not hear. During the wedding he was great and kept me and my friends dancing to the wee hours! In addition I have also attended two other weddings where he was the DJ and they were a very different style from mine — mine was nearly all adults and mostly in their 30’s vs having a huge wedding with tons of family and kids. He accommodated those differences very well. And again the dance floor was always packed and people were very happy.

Where do I begin? Well, we hired Drew for our wedding last weekend, based not only on reviews from Unilocal but also from friends and having been at a wedding that Drew DJ’d several years ago. From the start, we were impressed with Drew’s professionalism and honesty. If you’re looking for a sullen hip DJ to stand in the corner, looking cool, Drew isn’t it. He’s lively, involved, and just a cool guy.
As for the event, he didn’t disappoint. He played the perfect music for each portion of the cocktail hour and reception, and once the dancing started, he was on the floor, leading dances — the electric slide and the shuffle. We all loved his energy and enthusiasm, and multiple people commented on how awesome he was. Can’t stop raving about Drew — hire him for your next event!

AWESOME! My husband and I got married in September and Drew was absolutely wonderful. He is easy going but so professional from beginning to end. He was incredibly helpful before the wedding, helping us pick songs and finalize details. All of the music from our ceremony, dinner, cake cutting, dancing were great, he got everyone (of all ages) out on the dance floor!
He also kept our wedding running on time, I tell everyone there is no way we would have stayed on schedule without him. Drew would come find me in the crowd and give me a 10 minute warning for the next event (garter toss, cake cutting etc) so I always knew what was coming which was great. I loved that I didn’t have to worry about the timing at all during my wedding, Drew was on top of it and made sure everything ran smoothly all night.
I would absolutely recommend Drew to family and friends. He is experienced, professional, easy to work with, and has a ton of great suggestions. We had such an amazing wedding and Drew was a big part of that.

We are so happy to have Drew for our DJ at our wedding. When we first met, we could tell that he had lots of experience and he listened to our story and what we wanted for our wedding. He was really easy going and we felt like we were in good hands. He played music for our ceremony, made announcements to keep the guests informed, but best of all, he had the dance floor going all night! He mixed in some fun, new songs with older favorites that we wanted. He also did a great job mixing in some cultural music which turned out to be a huge hit! With Drew it was really great because he played the songs we wanted for our ceremony, first dance, cake cutting, etc. but after that, he took care of the rest. He played what got people dancing, and adjusted based on what the guests liked. I spent most of the night on the dance floor and my husband danced more than I have ever seen. We had a blast! Drew is professional, dependable, organized, calm, fun, and great at his craft! He really made our wedding day wonderful… from the ceremony music, cocktail hour and dinner music, first dance recommendations and then getting the party going and everyone on the dance floor! I really can’t say enough about how helpful Drew was before our wedding day and during. He worked with all our other vendors and really made the day go smooth and on schedule. AMAZING! Drew has a heart of gold and is an amazing DJ! He DJ’ed our wedding and we could not be more happy! He had everyone dancing all night long and was on top of everything. He kept everything on schedule, during the ceremony and reception. I would recommend Drew to anyone and everyone. We had majority age 22 – 35 and EVERYONE was dancing and having a blast. DJ Drew was so awesome! My husband and I really wanted a DJ who could get down and funky and DJ Drew was exactly that type of DJ. During the reception he danced right along with us, helped lead us in the group line dances, and seemed like he was genuinely happy to be at the wedding which was infectious. Lots of people got up and danced at our wedding! Thanks to him, we partied well! He was also amazing during the ceremony. He had everything cued and ready to go and there were absolutely no technical glitches, which led to a perfectly smooth day.

He was the full package, he was a great DJ, at a great price, but more importantly he was a great coordinator. If you choose to hire Drew you will be sure to have a great time. He help us with everything and was very open to our ideas of how to plan out our big day, but also came with ideas of which event sequence works best. He catered to our every need throughout the night making sure we were ready and prepared for the next dance, event, etc. He even gave my wife tips on a good trajectory in which to through the bouquet. The next day our friends and family were buzzing about how helpful he was and about how on point he was throughout the night with announcements and keeping the room alive.

We hired Drew for our wedding this winter, and he was fantastic!
He was quick in his responses, very helpful, and gave great suggestions. We made some last minute changes and a ton of song requests during the wedding, and he made everything flow together seamlessly, while keeping us on the time schedule we wanted. We could not have made a better choice– he made our wedding truly amazing. I would reccomend him to anyone– fantastic DJ.

I can’t say enough good things about Drew. Like everyone else here is saying, he was super professional, helpful and accommodating from start to finish. He arrived early, totally took care of his own setup, and was ready to go well in advance of my husband’s 50^th birthday party. He chose the perfect background music for the hour or so as guests arrived, helped facilitate the toasts, and was 100% ready to go when it was time to dance. His music was perfect, exactly what we wanted (70s funk/​disco) and he knew exactly what to play to keep people dancing for several hours. My favorite part was seeing how much he clearly loves the music himself – it makes it that much more fun to know that the DJ is having a great time too. I’d hire him again in a heartbeat and recommend him without reservation.

Drew is as good as it gets. My wife and I got married in September here in Seattle and wanted to keep each little detail local & low key. Drew was both. He was genuine & professional throughout the entire planning process and made sure to iron out each detail with us before the big day.

My wife and I got married this past August, and by far the best vendor we dealt with was Drew. Hands down.
We had gotten a recommendation from friends & family about Drew and we were excited to work with him based on the reviews we had already heard. Our first consultation was thorough and easy-​going. Drew asked us several questions about what type of music we were into, what kind of a party we were trying to have, and I could really tell he was trying to get to know who we were so that he could deliver an awesome time. He did.
As time went on, Drew was extremely easy to work with. He didn’t stress us out by any means and always demonstrated that he had everything under control. When it came time for the wedding he did an immaculate job in both the ceremony and the reception. We couldn’t have asked for a better job.
Our reception went all night (5 hours) and the dancing literally lasted the whole time! Went things got quiet he knew the perfect song to get the dancing going again. He navigated the reception flawlessly being the MC as well.

We LOVED working with Drew as our wedding DJ in mid-​August of this year. He was exactly what you would hope for in someone playing such a key role in that type of event: professional, energetic and fun. He went above and beyond for us and was much more than just a DJ.
Aside from spinning some killer songs that kept the dance floor full, Drew also served as our emcee and behind-​the-​scenes-​problem-​solver, asking us if he could take care of any non-​music issues throughout the evening so we could focus on having a good time.
The best part of working with Drew is a combination of his kind demeanor and his genuine enjoyment and pride in his work. He truly likes what he’s doing, which is obvious from seeing his head-​bobbing while playing the tunes. Drew asked us which specific songs we wanted to hear, those which we didn’t and did the rest from there.
If we ever need a DJ for any other events, we will undoubtedly work with Drew again. Pick Drew for your event and relax knowing that you have the best event DJ in town on your side. He’s also quite the karaōke host and is a great backup singer, if karaōke is your thing. Just another weapon in his arsenal!

It was such a pleasure to work with Drew. From the moment we met him, his calm, cool, collective persona was impressive. We felt very comforted in knowing that not only did he understand our music style, but also that he had such a diverse background in the events industry. Drew was very easy to talk to and extremely professional, and we could just sense that he was an all around nice guy.

We just used Drew as our DJ for our June 21^st wedding. He was so easy to work with. a really genuine person. Informal, no deposit required up front. He arrived very early, fit in with our group seamlessly. and the dance floor was full the whole evening. We also saw Drew out for his Funk Night at a local neighborhood pub — loved it!

DJ Doughboy is professional — on time, has a great demeanor — and talented. He is able to accurately read a crowd and can access diverse and unique music genres with ease. My husband and I were married July, 2011, and choosing Drew as our wedding DJ was one of the very best decisions we made.
My husband and I had absolutely no clue where to begin with wedding music. Had we been left to our own devices, our poor guests probably would have been bombarded by some strange hybrid of Eagles and Journey meeting Barenaked Ladies and Paula Abdul. Let’s just say, it wouldn’t have been pretty.
Drew sat down with us before the wedding to plan out music for the whole evening. Processional, Recessional, Dinner background music, Cake Cutting Music etc etc etc. Drew helped us go through step by step through the night to figure our which events we WERE doing (mother-​son dance, sister-​brother dance) and which ones we were not (bouquet throw, garter toss). Then, night of, when suddenly there was a new song for the mother-​son dance, there WAS going to be a garter toss and bouquet throw and we had to vamp for time while people came in from all corners of the venue, Drew went with the flow easily and with such grace that guests had no idea anything unplanned was happening.
Perhaps more important than all the details leading up to the big night is the music itself. I don’t know if it is typical for wedding guests to rave about a DJ, but let me tell you, MINE DID! And best of all, during the days that followed, we talked to so many guests who were sore from all the dancing they did. Drew’s ability to keep the music rolling in a way that kept the dance floor moving and the crowd on it’s feet was unbelievable. Drew has a warm, kind demeanor that makes him incredibly approachable. His attention to detail and ability to tailor music to each moment of the night is impeccable.
