I’ve been around my fair share of dentists before, and Dr. Sako is bar none the cream of the crop. Would recommend 1000 times over.

Everyone is friendly and they’re nearly always on time. And Dr. Sako does a great job — efficient and tells you what you need to konw.

I like Gordon. I think he is friendly, professional and knowledgeable. I would probably rate his interaction at a 4.5 or even a 5. But his interaction is only a small piece of the experience. I get the same hygienist every time and she seems to have a heavy hand. I leave after a routine cleaning with pain in my mouth similar to having just shaved. Maybe she is doing a better job then previous people I have had. Maybe I’m just getting older and grumpier. My wife confirmed that she felt like it was a bit excessive. That’s my only «needs improvement» part of the review. The office is always clean and the front desk person is always friendly. I have been coming here for about 4 years so rare the review on 8 – 10 interactions.

We moved back to Seattle after living overseas and were looking for a good dentist. After waiting for a year, we found Dr Sako but were not sure if he was taking patients since he was so popular and busy. Luckily for us, he did accept us and we have been delighted ever since.
Dr Sako is not only caring and responsible but always provides honest advice. I can rely on Dr Sako as my own family. Thank you!

Dr. Sako is the best. I’ve been going there for almost 20 years (give or take). He’s extremely patient, knowledgeable, and gentle. His staff are extremely nice as well. I first found Dr. Sako because I was a dental assistant for a dentist who taught gnathology (google it) at the UW. Dr. Sako was the only one of his students that came close to his standards. I saw a lot of the results of bad dentistry in my day. I completely trust him. I’m not a fan of going to the dentist. And he’s definitely geographically undesirable, but I just can’t trust anyone else. If you want the best dentist there is, go to Dr. Sako.

Dr Sako and his staff have expertly cared for my teeth over the past 12 years. The office is pleasant and is well run. They are able to assist in emergencies on short notice, when needed. I recommend Dr Sako wholeheartedly!

I was really pissed when my dentist retired and sold part of his practice to what i thought was going to be some hack straight out of dental school. Over 30 years later am I am older, wiser and now realise sometimes life CAN throw good with the bad !! Dr. Sako is one of those rare lucky occurrences that happen from time to time. I now have a mouth full of beautiful gold and ceramic that is a show place of the dental artistry that Gordon Sako practices. I am also in love with the receptionists, Marsha and Shelly (who has the cutest dogs in the world and who has worked in the practice for as long as Dr. Sako). Dr Sako is gentle smart, funny and a fabulous dentist.

Great dentist, the DAs are very nice and gentle — and they’re all pros at flossing and picking at teeth. Gordon himself is very straightforward, they even take measurements of the gums to make sure everything is okay! Better than some other neighborhood dentists I’ve been to in the past around Seattle. :)

I’ve had my share of bad dentists when I first moved to Seattle and was determined to really take the time and interview people before I chose my next dentist. I found Dr. Sako by asking my son’s dentist (pediatric dentist) who they recommend and voila — I’ve been a very happy patient for more than four years now. Dr. Sako is very conservative in terms of wanting to replace fillings, etc which is good for the patient and a good sign that it’s not all about maximizing profits at the patient’s expense. The hygenists and office staff have been working there for a long time (more than 10 years for my hygenist) which is an even better sign of how the office is managed and how the staff is treated. There is nothing worse than going to a new practice that has completely new staff every six months, especially if you need a major procedure done and the assistant is fresh out of school. Not here, everyone is professional, calm, and confident. Dr. Sako is one of the best dentists in Seattle. If you are looking for one of the best pediatric dentists in Seattle they are next door — Drs. Schmutka and Way.

Fantastic. I always liked him but when I had a holiday weekend dental emergency he was absolutely willing to open the office just for me. He did not even sounds annoyed or the least bit irritated. Top notch but popular so maybe hard to get in.

I was one fo Dr Sako’s first patients. He even used to clean my teeth in those early days. Now you’ll be lucky if he is still accepting new patients. He is a very conscientious and highly skilled dentist dedicated to a high standard of care for his patients. He’s probably one of the best in Seattle. Good chairside manner and he has excellent staff, most of whom have been with him for many years. If you become his patient, plan well ahead for non emergency care. His practice is very busy.

He’s fantastic! He’s warm and personable and takes the time to answer all of my millions of questions. He’s honest when he’s not sure about something and will refer you elsewhere. I think he is also quite up to date on new methods and technology. He’s a UW graduate and is part of a monthly dental club that works together on special fillings. He’s a little conservative about redoing fillings, he tends to want to wait when other dentists have recommended otherwise. This would probably be a big plus for most people, but as I am slightly neurotic I worry that there is decay around some of my aged fillings. That aside, he’s great, parking is easy, and he doesn’t make you wait.

I found this place on Unilocal and Citysearch and boy was I happy! I’ve only visited once. The entire staff was super nice! There was no wait time, though appointments tend to need to be booked quite far in advance. I was in for a routine checkup and cleaning. I hadn’t been to the dentist in two years so I was not at all excited to hear what they had to say. But they were polite and considerate. The dental hygienist was very nice and we had a nice conversation. It turns out that my co-​worker has the same dentist! The dental hygienist remembered me and the information I told her about myself enough to determine this while working on my co-​worker!

Dr. Sako is great! Really gentle, never condescending about my lack of flossing habits. Everyone in the office is SUPER nice and they always remember me even thought I’m only there twice a year. I went there for the first time after seeing a very bad dentist who told me I had 9 cavities (just trying to scam me) and Dr. Sako only found 3.

Great family dentist, although I’m not sure he’s still taking patients at this time. But definitely worth a shot if you’re nervous about going to the dentist, or scared of drills and needles. Dr. Sako has a very gentle touch and genuinely cares about his patients. I’ve been to a few dentists/​oral surgeons, but no one has come close to this dental office in terms of honest service and care.
