Great Dentist :) Easy going down to earth people that care and know what they are doing.

Here are some things I didn’t like at this dentist office: — the assistant sighing in frustration after I flinched for the 12th time. — the other assistant saying, «You really floss? It doesn’t look like it.» — the pain, oh the pain! Which is probably more a result of my genetically terrible gums than the cleaning, but still. — the decisions constantly being made for me I’ve seen Dr. Long 3 times now, and I hate having to constantly interrupt him to ask what he’s doing or talking about. He is an old-boys-club«Doctor knows best» kind of dentist… not the«you are in charge of your own health care and I am here to help» kind. So, if you want to just sit with your mouth open and let someone else do whatever they feel is necessary, I guess this place is okay. But If you like knowing what’s going on, or which tooth«Number 5» is and what’s wrong with it, or why you’re being scheduled for another appointment next week… keep looking.

Unilocalers, you’ve done it again! Like the other reviewer, I have denti-phobia, and waited until I was in massive amounts of pain to go see a dentist. Luckily I checked out Unilocal for a dentist close by, found Dr. Long, and they were able to bring me in for a x-ray and a quick check that day! One hour later I was a tooth lighter, I was amazed they were able to get everything done in one appointment. I couldn’t be happier, they were extremely gentle, and yes, even made me feel like a long time patient. I would definitely recommend Dr. Long, EXTREMELYIMPRESSED!

I love Dr. Long! He’s my first new dentist since I’ve moved to Seattle, and before that I had the same dentist since I was about 10, so I was really nervous to try someone new. No to mention all the recommendations I got were miles away from where I preferred to have a dentist, and there were way too many horror stories of certain places that kept me flossin’ daily to stay away! My first time even seeing him, I needed to get my wisdom teeth pulled(yes I waited until I was in extreme pain to try and find someone out here). He made me feel comfortable and was understanding of my needle-phobia. His assistant and entire staff are also very kind and they actually treat you like family(as cheesy as it sounds). I was terrified of having my teeth pulled but they kept the gas at a nice level that I was cracking jokes the whole time. Yes, i was awake… and this is coming from someone that is completely terrified of anything that breaks the skin, and I’ve only had one cavity in my life so my tough dental skills haven’t been built up yet. If I could give them 15 stars I would.
