Many issues and ailments for which there is seemingly no practical relief can be resolved by taking advantage of the brain’s natural capacity to learn and heal. The Feldenkrais Method® of somatic education is one of the most successful methods for activating this kind of learning. The process uses gentle, targeted movements and carefully directed attention to release habitual neuromuscular patterns and incorporate new ones. It works systemically, using movement to simultaneous access how you think, feel, sense, and act. This kind of learning is embedded into your non-conscious self and tends to remain stable over time. The process occurs on a deeper level than the intellect, and there is usually no talking necessary during a session.
Feldenkrais® has provided relief and improvement for:
— Neck and back pain
— Headache and jaw pain
— Relief from Parkinson’s symptoms
— Relief from PTSD
— Reduced chances for injury and re-injury
— Stress and anxiety
