Such great service! Wide selection of futon mattresses and frames available. It was really nice to actually try a futon out before purchasing. Highly recommend!

Futon Factory is cool. I’m a big bargain hunter so this is my kind of place. We have a good-looking wooden futon, a super sturdy coffee table set, a tv entertainment kind of thing and a bar table dinette set– acquired over the last 10 – 15 years or so. I think it’s time I left a review. The wood is solid and I can tell it will last longer than the 10+ years a few of the pieces have already lasted. I take care of my furniture so it all looks really beautiful still. I opt for the solid wood. We always work with Mitch, who, I’ve got to say, is pretty up-to-snuff on everything that comes in– where it came from, whether it’s a good deal. He hasn’t led us astray yet. I can call there and he can make suggestions since he knows what kind of things we like and he knows our budget– if we ask him to he will even put something aside for a few hours so we have time to come and look at it before someone else grabs it. We haven’t worked with anyone else in Futon Factory but it seems like the place, sure, wants to sell their furniture, but at the same time wants people to be content with what they bring home. It is one of those«been around» places that still cares about what people actually want, not just what they can sell to them. Plus, it’s kind of fun lounging around in the store. It’s a cozy, clean, unintimidating place. Personally, I would highly recommend it.

The quality of product here is really great. solid wood. Mostly futons, futon chairs that recline into beds. Really nice bunk beds in solid wood. I purchased a full size cushion collapsible bed. A mat essentially that can be folded up and put away easily but very comfortable for guests. I’ve been looking for one for a long time but they were double the price everywhere online and such. The service is great. No pressure just helpful. Even got help to my car with my item. Can’t complain about service and product!

Decent selection, and a helpful salesperson. We got the futon we needed that day, as well as the cover, and were able to take it home and set it up same day.

I thought I had written a review on this place, apparently not — this took place just over a year ago. We decided to find a futon for our second bedroom that we were utilizing as an office only. We had a friend coming into town the following month and wanted her to be able to stay with us without having to full-on couch it. On my initial visit I scoped out a few models, took pictures to show my husband later, and asked a few questions of the salesman Mitch. I received a little bit of the hard sell on the one I was most interested in(this is the only one left of this style and I won’t be getting anymore in… can’t hold it or anything… really popular… I’d buy now if I were you). Fair enough — he’s a salesman. Went home, showed husband pics, went back a few days later and surprise of surprise! 2 more in stock of same futon but this time he claimed that he was holding them for other people and we could«pre-buy» one. What does this mean you may ask? Well, although he could not totally guarantee that another one would come in(unlike the other day when he was certain none were, now he was certain that another one would arrive on Tuesday), we could pay for it now and if one came in it was ours — if not, they would refund our money. Purchase made, wait until Tuesday. Tuesday comes… no promised call from Mitch. Minutes before their closing time I call — Mitch answers, «Ohhhh, didn’t I call you? Yeah, your futon is here — pick it up whenever.» So my husband makes a plan to swing by after work on Wednesday. He gets to the Factory, pulls up out back to load up — heads in to talk to the man Mitch. Mitch grabs a box nearest the door — races out with it, which according to my husband was REALLY awkward since it was a huge box and looked fairly heavy and Mitch wouldn’t let him help at all as he shoved it on top of our car rack, turned round and walked back into the store, and shut the door behind him without another word. Seem strange? Well, yes — we saw why when husband returned home. One entire portion of the box(that Mitch was holding to his side and placed facing down on our rack) was shredded open and punctured repeatedly. When my husband removed the metal legs from the box we discovered that they were horribly damaged(scratched and punctured, bent to the point where they wouldn’t even hold the futon up). I call the Futon Factory immediately, and who do I get? Apparently the only person who works there, Mitch! Feigning surprise at the situation he assures me that he will place a call immediately for replacement parts — but they will take almost 2 weeks to get there(on a Tuesday in 13 days) and I was promised a call from him on that day when they came in. 13 days later — no call, I call him the following day. Mitch, «Ohhhh, right — hmmm… let’s see, oh, looks like they didn’t come in. I will call you next Tuesday when they should be here.» Next Tuesday rolls around, no call — I call Wednesday. «Ohhhh, right… hmmmm, gosh — I wonder if my manager ordered those?» Me, «What!!! I have a guest coming into town and I have been dealing with this futon situation for over 3 weeks now!» Mitch, «Yeah, sorry… this is really weird, we never have any problems like this»(yeah, right). Long story long — 3 weeks after that and a weekly call from me to him(not the other way around as it should have been) we finally received our replacement legs 2 days before our out of town guest arrived. 6 weeks total — ridiculous!

I visited the Futon Factory looking for a futon couch frame to hold my old futon mattress. Mitch was the salesman and he was really great. He was patient and answered all of my questions readily. I looked around elsewhere for a frame, but came back because of the customer service I received. A week or so later, I got a ‘thank you’ card in the mail. Awesome!

Since I couldn’t afford the furniture at Soaring Hearts I stopped by here to check out their prices for a loft bed. I’d scoped the ones at IKEA and frankly, even though they were comparatively cheap at IKEA, they looked like they would fall over if my teenage son so much as changed sleeping positions at night. These didn’t and they came WITH all the cool stuff like dresser drawers and desks and bulletin boards. They call them Study Lofts and even though they were more expensive than IKEA, I loved them and the one we got was worth it., especially since I alreay had the futon. They also have occasional special deals on things that are a bit dented or have some cosmetic faults(things you could fix yourself). Yeah, on the one hand futons seem so not chic retro, but the Asian side of me finds them perfectly normal and perfectly comfortable. They carry sofa frames and bed frames and non-futon related furniture and it’s a good place to go if you’re wondering if futons are still around.
