Did not get the name of the young woman working there tonight. But she was very friendly and knowledgeable about their large wine and beer selection. Great customer service!

I just moved here from philadelphia and full throttle is the greatest welcoming mat to the city of Seattle, or the pacific north west for that matter. My first time here I was very welcomed and I was given EXCELLENT recommendations from the women there, I don’t know if she’s the owner manager or just a worker, but she was great. She recommended a brewery for me, Sound brewery definitely try the monk indiscretion. It’s amazing. I will be returning here over and over. Also they have an insane mead selection. Support these small businesses so they stay here!

This place is awesome. I don’t drink a lot, only occasionally but this place is awesome for everyone. I love the ciders and imports from all over the world. The staff is very knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming.

The service is friendly, and they will sometimes take requests on new beers if there is one you want to try that they do not carry.
You can drop a ton of money in this store and leave happy. The staff is there to help if you need suggestions for a new beer to try or help deciding between two (just get them both!)
Free two hour parking lot a few blocks north if there isn’t any street parking.

One of the better selections of beer in Seattle. Chucks on 85^th has a bigger selection but prices are pennies difference. The gal that is usually working behind the counter is extremely friendly.
If you’re looking for major micro-​brews, you’ll save a small amount of money in grocery stores. But looking for small, craft brews this place has it.

Whoa doggy, these guys are pricey ($ 15 a six pack for Victory Brewing from PA and $ 15.75 for triples that you can get from TJs or Whole Foods for $ 9.99)! Yes, the selection is great and if you don’t have a car, this is a great option.
However, I recommend Chucks Hop Shop in Ballard/​Greenwood for a similar selection (maybe even better?) and *much* better prices. Now that I’ve moved, I’m not realizing how great I had it in Ballard…
Another option? Go to Costco for Duvel, Chimay and St. Bernadus, Whole Foods for a large selection of Belgians and domestic style triples, and of course, Trader Joe’s has a great selection. But yes, I agree with you, I like supporting my local shop. Hence, Chuck’s Hop Shop…
Anyhoo, the owner/​manager that I met didn’t seem overly nice — when I asked him if they did sales (hey, I really wanted to like this place and support a local shop), he was short saying they didn’t have sales and «if you don’t like it…» and shrugged his shoulders… Pretty much, I was shown the door and I hope it didn’t hit me in the ass. Ummm, ok thanks.
I would give this joint ONE STAR, but because they have a nice selection, I’ll give it TWO.

For local beer, it’s a little pricier than buying at the brewery or brew pub, sure… but you can’t beat the selection of awesome beers all in one place. They carry pumpkin beer long after November, for those who forgot to stock up (or underestimated their pumpkin beer needs… an easy mistake). And they have hundreds of other beers to choose from, to boot.
I often find the staff to be a little busy (curt is perhaps more the right word) but they are knowledgable when I ask questions on everything from personalized beer recommendations to the best place to buy a growler (hint: not at Full Throttle Bottles. They’ll take back your empties to give you a discount on your next pre-​bottled Schooner Exact growler, though).

Clearly my input is not necessary. It’s all been said. In a city I don’t even live in, a city that has SO much amazing beer, breweries, bars, etc… this place is still a stand-​out as awesome, unique, diligent, thorough, amazing bottle shop. My hats off, deep bow, supreme props etc etc etc.

Oh my god. This place is heaven. It’s not that big of a store in comparison to some of the massive wine and beer shops around, but they don’t waste shelf space and thus have a huge variety. Whatever they might not have, they can probably order a case of.
The employees are passionate and knowledgeable. To buy beer from them is like being able to buy herbs and kitchen gadgets from a shop run directly by Alton Brown. If I knew as much about stockmarket trading as they know about beer, I’d be a billionaire. Wine sommeliers with their same level of knowledge make $ 200 tips, so I almost feel guilty for having access to the staff here for free.
For Seattleites, this is the beer equivalent of Bob’s Meats. If you told me I was going to die at midnight tonight, I’d go here for drinks, go to Bob’s for meat, go home and feast, and then die a happy man.
The prices are fair as compared to the rest of Seattle. It’s probably 10% more on average, but that’s worth it for beer that’s actually stored properly. I figure that more than ¹⁄₁₀ beers I buy from other places are duds, so by going to Full Throttle I’m saving money in the long run. I’m a thrifty asshole who is no stranger to thrift stores and Grocery Outlet, so believe me when I say that the staff keeping you from blowing money on beer you won’t like is much more valuable than the small bump in sticker price.
For me, it’s a little drive out of the way, but well worth it. I wish science had a way that we could clone people and put a full throttle bottles in every town.

Has become my absolute «go to» for beer purchases.
Their selection is outstanding & service is friendly & entertaining.
What puts it over the top is the «resident hop head» as he was called by the owner. I wish I knew his name, but this guy just, flat out, knows his stuff. I simply tell him a beer or two I enjoyed (which was usually recommended by him during my last stop) and he finds something new & amazing for me to try.
Good Life Descender, Laughing Dog Citra, Green Flash West Coast IPA all top my list of favorites; none of which I would have discovered if not for Full Throttle.

Yes! Yes! Yes! This review could be summed up with one word. Happiness.
On a recent trip to Seattle’s, I explored Georgetown with one very specific purpose in mind: Find this store. I’d read reviews on Unilocal (and other sites-don’t shun me please!) and had very limited time to find what I was looking for. I could only visit one store in town and this was the one I chose. It was definitely a solid choice.
Armed with a list of beers as long as my arm and a budget of under 100 $, I set out to find my Seattle souvenirs, fill requests from friends back home, and complete part of my Christmas shopping. Immediately upon entering, I was greeted by a fully stocked tower of Southern Tier selections that are nearly impossible to find in KCMO, having never been distributed there or having been supplied in very low numbers.
Check: 2 souvenirs for me, 1 present accomplished.
Next, I set out to find the most important treasures on my list: Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA and others and Russian River’s Pliny the Elder or other selections. No Pliny here but that was no surprise. What I did end up with was 8 bottles of Dogfish Head-​a variety of brews and 1 bottle of RR’s Damnation.
Check: 3 souvenirs, the rest presents and requests.
To top off all of this, I was able to find some Stone varieties that I’d never tried as well as several other local favorites that have been on my list for quite some time. Because the prices are phenomenal, I was able to get all of this for under $ 75 (read: Under Budget!) and discover several breweries with whom I’d not yet been introduced.
Wahoo Mission accomplished!
I’d certainly recommend this shop to anyone in the Seattle area. I’m sure there are many more like this or even more impressive but this is the first one I have discovered. On my next trip, I will probably look for a new place to try but I will also certainly come back to Full Throttle Bottles as well. And I recommend that all of you beer and wine-​loving Unilocalers do the same!

Sodas and ciders and beers! Oh, my!
My husband and I are big cider fans and we love to coming down to Full Throttle Bottles to peruse their very extensive collection. We are told it is the largest in the area and we have no reason to not believe this. It seems we always go home with a few we’ve never tried before and a few old friends.
I am not a beer or soda drinker, but, if one of those is your personal poison, you’ll also find a great inventory to explore — all available by the bottle, so you can try something new/​make your own six-​pack/​etc.
I AM a red wine drinker, and Full Throttle Bottles has a decent selection of wine, too.
Prices here a very reasonable. The staff here is friendly and helpful. They are knowledgeable about their product and happy to assist customers in finding just the right bottle of that which they are seeking. And, I would say, they are proud of their unique little store.
I always stop in when I visit Georgetown and seldom leave empty-​handed.

Beer, beer, and more beer! Even if you aren’t a beer fanatic you can get wine and cider at Full Throttle Bottles. Don’t be nervous walking through the doors thinking only a beer lover can fully appreciate this place. There is something for everyone unless you are strictly a liquor consumer.
Full Throttle is in good ol’ Georgetown and in keeping with the industrial theme of the neighborhood is housed in warehouse-​ish building. You almost feel as if you are in the basement of someone who has been collecting beer for years. Whatever type of beer you are into, there are plenty of types, you will find a bottle to suit your needs. I rarely enter the store with a particular beer in mind. I browse the shelves and always find a type or even a logo that catches my eye and buy it. Prices vary depending on your selection but they are comparable to other beer stores.
The knowledge of the staff is impressive. Any question you may have can and will be answered thoroughly but the customer service has been hit or miss in my experience. Overall, people who work there have been friendly but there has been a few occasions a snarky attitude rose to the surface. Maybe the employees I encountered were having a bad day?
Full Throttle Bottles is one of my many go to places for quality beer.

Full Throttle Bottles is a great place for beer, cider, soda, and an ok place for wine. The store isn’t that big, but they still manage to have a really interesting selection of things to try. And you will want to try a few things. So go there with an open mind and ask lots of questions! The employees are generally quite helpful and knowledgeable about what they stock.
I think what I most appreciate about Full Throttle Bottles is that they sell so many local beverages. They have an extensive selection of beers and ciders from Washington and Oregon (such as Elysian, Fremont Brewing Co., Ninkasi, Rogue, etc.). Last time I was there, I tried the Snowdrift Dry Cider (from Wenatchee, WA) and it was so so good. I very much recommend it! You can even find Seattle-​made sodas such as Dry Soda Co. (try the cucumber) and Rachel’s Ginger Beer (it’s the lemon-​ginger combo that makes it far more palatable than many other strong ginger beers).
Also: Parking is usually pretty easy here, as they have a thirty minute «loading» space right in front of the store.

My initial impressions when walking into Full Throttle Bottles was that I was disappointed there was not ~more~ beer here. I don’t know why I expected some mammoth shop overflowing with bottles, but I did and I very nearly pouted making my first steps into this joint.
Once I started paying attention to what they had though, my minor disappointment was changed to elation. This place has an amazing selection of amazing brews. I didn’t see anything here of just «ok» let alone mediocre quality. A custom made 6 pack was quickly built, and I was severely tempted to keep buying more once I noticed their considerable rack of mead and non-​alcoholic beers (schmancy ginger and root beers for the kiddos or mixing or just simple fizzy enjoyment). Simply put, the selection is awesome and well organized. Anyone who is picky about brew should find something they like, nay… LOVE here.
Staff are awesome, friendly, and will talk shop with you if you are willing. Tastings from local brewers on Weds, and a «bottle cap club». For every $ 10 you purchase you get a stamp and then 11% off after you get all 10 punches done. I may already be halfway there at this point… and considering I have a new gig literally across the street from this place, well. It will be full in no time.

On regular days, Full Throttle Bottle provides myriad type of beers to those in search of libations. It carries the full range of brews from a fine selection of Germans and Belgians to the full range of Dog Fish Head (my favorite brewery from my home state). They also run a frequent buyer program in which a certain amount of beer purchased, will earn you a one-​time % deduction on your next purchase (thou not the great in amount, any additional incentive to buy beer is welcome).
The real revelation of this place is that once in a while, during the Georgetown art walk night, they open up to the Stables. The Stables is an event space that’s connected to Full Throttle Bottle (they are in the same building). The owner has live bands come in to perform at the garage, and rumor has it, you can buy and bring your beer over to enjoy.
Great music, great beer, great setting: it is fantastic and a true find. I highly recommend trying it out.

A great bottle shop with a fairly thorough overview of locally available beer, reasonably well organized. The shop is cool and dark, which is great for beer storage (as well as other inventory).
There’s a nice rack of meads and a couple good shelves of wines. There’s usually a good emphasis on Washington stuff in all the selections, then PNW, then west coast, with good national and some imported stuff rounding out the stock.
Erika’s such a neat person, so outgoing and easy to talk to. She runs the joint and she is usually behind the counter. I’m always happy to stop in here and stock up.
