Mega cost savings on bread! Great Franz quality. Best kept secret in bread. The employees are always very nice and helpful. Most loafs are 50% off or more. Definitely worth a trip to SODO to stop in.

We bought 5 bags of 100% wheat bread for $ 7 and took it to Olympic Game Farm. Very nice and helpful staff.

You call yourself a bargain hunter? You’re no bargain hunter if you’ve never been to the Franz Bakery Outlet Store. With *only $ 20 in my pocket* I can fill a bag or two of delicious baked goods and feed a whole mess of people. Having people over? Stop in and get 2 dozen doughnuts for under $ 5 — how can you beat that? Having a brunch? Stop in and get cinnamon bread to make a big batch of french toast! Is it perfect? No, sometimes things are«best buy» the next day, and, I can never tell how much things cost. Is something that is 6 for $ 5 cheaper or more expensive than something that is 4 for $ 3? And if you only want one it’s… how much? I’m lost. Sorry, my math teacher was right, I was going to need this some day. I also think that they, the workers or the store itself, are a bit disorganized. One example, last week they had a shopping cart full of donuts without any price on it. I asked the worker and she said«I’m not sure I have to check» and then came back with«I think they’re a dollar each.» I bought two, she rings them up, just typing in 2.00, and as I walked out, I saw a different worker putting an 89 cent sign on the cart. In the long run, they literally give away free loaves of bread with your purchase, so I can’t complain about the 22 cents. If you’re doing the gluten-free there isn’t a lot here for you, as you might guess. That said, I do like some of the non-bread products they sell. For example, they have this mustard called Koops’ Arizona Heat, that I love on my sandwiches and is hard to find anywhere else. They sometimes have a couple other condiments, chocolate milk, things like that. I’m so pumped about some bread from the thrift shop!

I love discount groceries. My tombstone will probably read something like, «Here lies CP. She loved cheap groceries and puns. May she arrive in discount shopping heaven with a bottomless cart sans a squeaky wheel.» Because my guy doesn’t care for bread that you can see the ingredients in, I often purchase Franz’s white bread that is made from whole wheat. He can’t tell the difference between it and regular white bread ^_^ I used to shop a lot here when I ate more bread products, but have since dropped off over the years. If you are responsible for bringing in treats to work/need BBQ fixings/lunchbox items, then you should come here! I freeze whatever I won’t use right away; don’t be afraid to stock up. Being the outlet, everything is mad cheap. Because I bought x amount of English muffins, bread, etc. they let you pick 3 free items on the discount rack(a discount rack within a discount store?! My heart was beating so fast.) So I walked out with fresh sourdough, 3 kinds of English muffins, 3 loaves of strawberry-banana bread, 2 loaves of gluten-free bread for $ 14.99 today. They have their own parking lot which makes the bread hauling easy. You can’t beat the 2/$ 6 gluten-free bread deal here, so I’ll become a regular(again!)

I stopped by the Franz Bakery Outlet after running having lunch with my husband and him mentioning that he wanted to make burgers for dinner. I thought«What better place than to pick up some buns for the cheap?» Everytime I’ve driven by this location I always have smelled the bread baking and instantly craved bread. I pulled into the parking lot which was busy but most of the available spots were marked for«Customers only». I think most of the spots that were occupied were for employees of the bakery itself. The first thing I noticed when I walked in is how small the location is. The last time I had been to a bakery outlet it had been a Gai’s and down in Lakewood where I grew up so I knew they weren’t expected to be overly large. They had signs promoting sales everywhere — mostly a 2-for scenario(2 loaves of bread for $ 3.99, etc). Initially, I grabbed a basket and started putting in a loaf of bread and some hamburger buns, etc. I got to the left side of the store and noticed the row of shelves which were marked for«Quick sale» with a Sharpie marker on the packaging. Based on what I could tell, there was no difference in expiration date on the ‘non-quick sale’ and the quick sale. So to save myself a $ 1, I took the quick sale item(judge me if you will). Apparently if you spend $ 8 or more, you get to choose from a ‘free’ shelf of bread items which include rolls or breadsticks, etc. I ended up spending a little over $ 8 so I got to chose from the free shelf and so for $ 8, I got 5 different items. Not a bad spend although you definitely want to make sure you can eat through the food you’re buying. It can be easy to buy because it’s cheap but then have bread go bad.

You’ll need the current, correct phone number to speak to them directly: 206−682−2244×6227 Dial the main Seattle 6th Avenue Bakery phone number(as shown), then just punch in 6227 and it will push you over to the Outlet store.

Small bakery outlet store in front of the huge commercail Franz bakery. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Got some great buys on «fresh» bagels, pita, english muffins and blueberry bread — all had a pull date 6 – 7 days out. I steer clear of the«deals» because I hate old bakery products… I saved approx 60% over grocery store prices — will definitely stop when I pass by next time!

This place is fantastic! I had a huge Summer party where the grill was going all day. How do you feed a plethora of people for cheap? You can get fresh hamburger and hot dog buns here in very large quantities for VERY reasonable prices — seriously, for 1⁄3 of what you would pay at the grocery store. A+++ to Franz for having such a great outlet.

I’ve been going to to this bakery outlet about once a month for the past three years to stock up on Everything bagels and extra crispy English muffins. These items, and many others, are always on stock and always as fresh as can be. The service here is fine. I mean, they aren’t serving your dinner – they are selling you bread. There is always easy parking right in front of the stor. If you bus, the #14 stops on Jackson right in front. If you walk, like I did when I lived in Judkins Park, you probably frequent the Promenade area anyway.(By the way, I live in Green Lake and I still make the drive down!) If you eat bread, you can stop wasting your money at regular grocery stores.

This is not old inventory, its fresh as in a FACTORY outlet. But the offerings are pretty awful. Biased as I might be against so much processed flour, this is bland central. If you want five loaves of white bread for $ 5, this is a solid choice. An extra star for the super low prices in a challenging economy and super cleanliness.

Yes, as a bakery outlet, they always have specials on. Whether it’s shaving a couple cents or things like 3 for $ 5, etc. If you currently commute on the buses using the SoDo busway, like myself, take advantage of stopping by here. :) I stay away from the really unhealthy stuff. You also may find some«oldie» candies here(the kind not in your local grocery/dept store). I no like, but hey, cool. Friendly staff. Something about walking around in a charming old building. Gotta vending machine with some cheap Vitamin Water. :D I got me some cinnamon swirl bread. Yummy. Just make sure you check the date tag(like any store); on the rare occasion(I happened to see one on my visit), they’ll forget/overlook to pull some items with old«Sell by» dates on them. There’s a small card fee if used. **Warning continue at risk** On a super side note: SDOT and/or WSDOTPLEASEFIXTHISRIDICULOUSROAD. –_-” omg it is horrible on the bus.

I can’t believe no one’s review the Franz Bakery Outlet Store yet. Am I the only one who likes cheap bread? You can get all kinds of Franz products for bargain basement prices. Breads, rolls, bagels, English muffins, DONUTS, cookies and even stuffing mix. The people shopping and the people working here can be a little sketch but it makes for an interesting and entertaining shopping experience oh and if you see the little old lady with the cane do not take anything in front of her or she’ll snap at you trust me on this one.
