Specialties

Empowering self-defense for women workshops and kickboxing classes for beginners may be what we are best known for, but we also offer classes for teens, self-defense for men and corporate workshops and programs.

Fighting Chance Seattle blends old-school, classical martial arts with modern training methods. This is not a one-size-fits-all gym. We meet you where you are and help you to achieve your goals. Each program is thoughtfully designed to meet the needs of its target student.

Kickboxing Ryoku is not your standard box gym cardio kickboxing class. We mix authentic kickboxing with classical karate and core functional fitness concepts to offer a unique approach to high-intensity interval training.

Modern Bushido is for the true, well-rounded martial artist of the 21st century. Train in Muay Thai, kickboxing for MMA, grappling, sparring, classical kata and practical street self-defense.

Self-Defense for Women is our top-rated empowerment and awareness workshop.

History

Established in 2011.

After eighteen years of training in the martial arts, Sensei Jordan Giarratano felt it was time to follow his teacher’s path and pass his love of kickboxing, karate, and self-defense on to a new generation of students.

Starting with just two classes per week, Giarratano’s only goal was to offer the best martial arts classes possible (and to have fun). Less than three years later, Fighting Chance Seattle has expanded to a full-time dojo, known for its commitment to excellence, respect for everyone, and community building.
