I first spoke with Greg shortly after I started with my old firm, and I told him I had found the position myself because the lack of follow up I had received from another legal staffing agency in Seattle had left a bad taste in my mouth. Greg promised me that wouldn’t be my experience with him if/​when I decided to look again.
Over the year and a half I was at my old firm, Greg checked in with me from time to time to see how I was doing, and even offered some wisdom when it was time for me to negotiate a raise. He was also quick to get in touch with me when he had openings at my «dream firms» to see if I wanted to go for it. For a while I passed, but when it abruptly became clear to me that I wanted to move on from my old firm, Greg was the first person I called.
Within a month of when I first reached out, I had three different interviews set up by the three different principals at ESP. The first two seemed promising to all involved but didn’t work out in the end. I had some unique challenges getting employers to reconcile competencies that far outpaced my timeline of experience and I think that after the second interview Greg made it his project to get me hired somewhere that I would be truly valued, and thank goodness for that because third time was the charm!
I am now a paralegal at a firm where I love going in on a daily basis, and am finding myself working long days because I don’t want to stop what I’m doing! The only thing keeping me from becoming a true workaholic is the fact that I have a dog waiting for me at home… That’s how much I love this place!
