Emerald City Smoothie

Good service, but I was surprised that they use syrups and juices instead of the fruits. I can understand the protein powders but come on, «nourish your body» with sugar syrups? No thank you.

Jessica, the «family business» employee was very obnoxious and rude when I was ordering a smoothie. Jessica does not make the store welcoming or approachable. I don’t believe this is a way to conduct business. As I read more and more of the reviews I believe this store should be shut down for their awful customer service and rude employees.

This is my favorite smoothie shop. The flavors, boosts and texture is exactly what I crave. I love this place so much that I will drive out of my way just to get my fix and those cravings come often. My only complaint is the location because I’d love to have one that is on Green Lake instead of grubby Aurora. After a strenuous run or for a healthy morning breakfast, a smoothie is perfect.

Don’t know the name of the lady, she had star tattoos by her ear, pretty middle aged. But she was incredibly rude. I asked for a kale smoothie and she tells me they don’t serve it and that I should google that next time. Thinking that they simply didn’t serve an entire kale based smoothie I asked for a listed smoothie with kale added. Other Emerald Smoothies I have been to had a kale option but apparently this one did not. Instead of simply explaining that to me she tells me, «we don’t have kale here this is what I’m trying to explain to you» completely cutting me off from the conversation. She was incredibly rude from the get go. Terrible service.

First time at this location and it was disgusting from the second I walked in the door. It was so dirty and unsanitary, the employees dog was even walking around the store! The straws were not in packaging and the cups were just laying around, I didn’t even drink my smoothie I thought I was going to get sick from the dirtiness of the store.

I have never had a bad smoothie here. Great customer service.

I have NEVER have had so much disrespect for an employee. I love emerald city smoothie and would like to go to this location if you get rid of her. I work out at golds gym and my class gets over at 730and the sign says you close at 8 so I figured no problem going. So I get in there around 745 and the girl says «we are closing only card no cash» and she said it with so much attitude ugh but that’s not a big deal so I was like that’s fine. And she looked at me like she was so mad at me for coming in! She was saying how she wanted to leave earlier to go home? I’m sorry but if ur store says you close at 8 you close at 8. What kind of business do you think you are running? I want to come to this place twice a week after my class and I tip really well if ur nice! So how about you take the stick out of your a** and be nice to me or you need to get fired. You are only losing business by having this girl work for you. I would love to come here but if I see her stupid face I’m leaving. While she was making my smoothie another girl walks in and she yells at her «we are closing» and she was like u don’t close for ten minutes. Then she said «well I am trying to get home. Card only» and the costumer was thrown off and said «I need a smoothie for my friend in the hospital» and she wasn’t even being rude and the girl working said «I have the right to refuse service to anyone so please leave» are you kidding me??? She wasn’t rude or out of line or anything? Do you even want to make money??? That girl working is ridiculous. Not only rude but a complete idiot. Please do something about this or I’m contacting emerald city corporate and complaining. I would like to come here and not get yelled at for just being nice. you can count ur cash after that girl left and would be there for like 5 more minutes! Big woop! Be nice GIVE COSTUMER SERVICE! SO YOU CAN DESERVE YOUR HOURLY AND HOW ABOUT A TIP RIGHT!!! Get rid of this girl or you will run out of business. Once you get rid of her I will be there twice a week so hurry up and hire someone else!

Lacking customer service and interaction… especially being the only ones in the store. Ordered two of the same smoothies that came out completely different. Too many smoothie spots, especially ECS to choose from. Go elsewhere.

First time coming here was awesome the guy seemed nice and made my drink pretty tasty.
Second time I called in my order so it would be ready for me to come get it, I couldn’t remember what the name of the drink I had last was but knew it was on their «new specials» board so I asked him; «what’s the new mocha drink you guys have?» He gave me a name and I left it at that. I asked him for a medium one of those and TRIED to ask him to put in 2 bananas but he said «oh yeah ok!» And hung up on me as soon as I said «can I get a medium one of those with…». So then I had to call back and tell him that I had just called and wasn’t finished with my order and that I wanted 2 bananas in my drink.
So I walk over there and he rings me up and gives me 2 drinks… I told him I only ordered one. He fixed it quickly so that was fine.
Drinking my drink now it tastes like there’s no bananas and actually a little peanut butter instead?
People being impatient and thinking they know everything and how everything is gonna happen and don’t LISTEN are one of my pet peeves.

The best smoothies in Seattle for real strawberry energizer is my favorite .they also have nutritional supplements.

I have been to Emerald City Smoothie weekly now for about three months. Jessica has always been great about engaging in conversation. and always greets my friend and I with a smile. She gets the smoothies out quick, but we are usually in there for about 10 – 15 minutes just to continue having a conversation. It’s great seeing someone who pays attention to the customers and compliments them as well. ECS is definitely going to continue being my normal stop.

I am thankful that this location exists so that when I want a low carb mid day at work I can have one. But really this location is a big disappointment. I understand it’s a franchise but the fact that the owner chooses to make the drinks his own way vs every other location is a bummer. I’ve probably had 50 drinks at this location and they are always watered down because he automatically uses water as the base instead of non fat milk. That’s not the normal way and I wish he wouldn’t do that. The smoothies always taste watered down and lack flavor. I still drink them because they are a high protein meal replacement and I need that. I think it’s time that the company step in and require consistency between franchises. I’ll keep going sometimes, regardless though because of the convenience.

Usually go to Custom Smoothie (because they are better), but was in a pinch, so I stopped here, as it’s the location I used to go to. Walked in, gave my order, and Jessica read it back to me wrong, so I gave her my order again. She looks at me and says, «You don’t have to talk to me like I’m retarded, dude.» WHAT? First of all, I didn’t.
She makes what I ordered, rings it up, and then asks if I want to open a punch card. I say no, and then say that I’m probably not coming back here. She says, «Good, we don’t need your business.» I walk out, and hear her talking about me to her friend, who is behind the counter and doesn’t work there. Needless to say, when I was almost out the door, the phrase, «yeah, get the f*** out of here» was overheard. Should have turned around and walked back in, but at that point, it didn’t matter. NEVER AGAIN!

Since my last post, my experiences have taken a whole 180. Friendly staff, great smoothies, and a punch card to earn a free smoothie. I’m glad this place finally started to stay open so I could give them another shot!

Smoothies here are always a good choice.

I was not impressed with this location. I am now sure that the ECS is not corporate but private franchises, as there are glaring differences in the atmosphere and quality of products between this and the other location I have been to.
While I love the other location I frequent, this location is closer to my job, and I was feeling yucky that day. I felt like coming to this location I could expect the same caliber smoothie as I am accustomed to from their products.
I was wrong. The store is poorly organized, giant clunky looking shelves full of vitamins and supplements. The menus are not well organized and confusing to read. I couldn’t find a lot of the smoothie choices I actually like, because they just don’t have as many choices. They also don’t have as many add-​ons. I went with a raspberry/​strawberry concoction with protein, energy, and I added vitamin c and antioxidant blend.
The smoothie tasted watered down, and indeed, was not as thick as I like. I could taste the powdered additives in it like it wasn’t blended enough, but it could have been the fact that the drink was just not thick enough to evenly disburse the ingredients. Moreso, the fruit didn’t taste fresh, and the prices on their menus were all lower than what I was actually charged.
I really don’t think i’ll be back to this location again.

Good smoothies

Party pooper here. I used to like coming to this location until the young (new) guy started making my smoothies.
Everyone else, including the young ladies and the older guy, always get my order right. The young guy, however, seems to be preoccupied with other things and NEVER listens to my order carefully. He has made at least five smoothies for me and still gets it wrong very single time. I cringe whenever I see him working and keep my fingers crossed as I repeat my order slowly and clearly.
What’s ambiguous about a «32-​ounce Lean Body with chocolate peanut butter protein, strawberry base, add peanut butter, and make it thick»? All the ingredient options are listed on the menu board and I’m not adding anything off the menu. Yet the guy continues to make me a 24-​ounce smoothie every time, so watery that I can finish in one sipping.
I have given the guy the benefit of the doubt enough times, so for now I will drive out of my way and visit other locations instead. Too bad since this is the closest location to my house.

Great smoothies and prices, open decent hours and free parking. Conveniently located just off Aurora in a strip mall on the South side of 100^th. The staff are cool and friendly, the smoothies are delicious! Lots of flavors and the store often has vitamin sales.
