Authentic Middle Eastern street food served in freshly baked pitas. All our dishes are vegetarian, but very filling and unique. You’ve never had anything quite like this before!

History

Established in 2014.

Although we are new to Seattle, we bring customers a food tradition that is hundreds of years old. We have a simple menu that includes authentic Mediterranean street food that is exactly like the food you would find in a street market in Egypt, Morocco, or Iraq.

True to origin our food is vegetarian and served in a freshly baked pita. Unlike the common perception for vegi-​food, our dishes are filling and satisfying. We encourage you to come in and taste unique authentic food. We promise you that we did not modify the tastes from the origin!

Liked the experience, food was our first Mediterranean, my husbands eggplant was tastier in my opinion because it was juicer than my faffel that seemed a but dry but I believe that’s my personal preference not that there’s anything wrong with the food at all, plus they offer sauces to help with that, big portions, fresh, looked amazing. We went because we like all types of food & haven’t tried this yet & because of the Unilocal reviews that mentioned the tables in the back where you can watch glassblowing. Though it’s a bit hard to see while you’re eating it was a nice experience, glad we did it. Afterwards you can walk in the glassblowing shop right up to the workers and watch everything they’re doing up close and personal. I recommend it. This was our first time eating Mediterranean so it’s hard for us to judge the food. If we lived in the area we’d probably both order the eggplant again.

Excellent vegetarian food! Its made fresh so there is a bit of a wait but nothing extraordinary and totally worth it. There is a very small dining area so be aware may not work well for larger parties. Next to glassblowing studio so if you’re lucky, you get to observe while you eat.

Vegetarians are often upset when they find that a restaurant does not offer any vegetarian options. That’s exactly how I felt going into this place and realizing there isn’t a single menu item with meat in it. Needless to say, this is nothing short of criminal discrimination.
Joking aside, the sandwiches are pretty much as good as a vegetarian sandwich could possibly be, ie. meh, somewhat good. But if you are anti-​meat, then you’d probably really like this place, and also don’t invite me over to dinner.

The fresh mint lemonade is divine. Not super-​sweet, very refreshing, and blended with ice. It’s worth stopping in for this alone. I also got a hummus pita and it was also delicious. I was very hungry and it satisfied me without feeling too full or heavy. It was bursting with tasty veggies, as well as some very tasty fries. I will definitely be back! Great option for tasty healthy food!

This was a great place to stop for a quick authentic meal. In search for vegetarian options, this came up. You can tell that the it is a newer business, and that they aim to please the customer. Service was awesome, and the food was delicious. I got to try things I had never heard of before. Since the food was authentic, we asked the woman taking orders about different ingredients and she explained and showed them to us. Worth visiting in Seattle!

Small place but very authentic food. Wasn’t too hungry when I came but I ordered a small falafel plate for $ 5.25. What’s nice is that they’re extremely friendly about describing their menu. You can either sit in the front or the back. It’s next door to a glass blowing store so in the back you can watch them work which is pretty cool!

I’m still furious with myself for not ordering my own pita sandwich here. I was in a mood and when my roommate later opened his Sabich order on our flight back to SF and I saw that there were fries in the pita it was absolutely 100% without a doubt the closest I’ve come to killing someone for a piece of food.
The roomie did let me have two bites in pity and they were absolutely the best bites of anything I’ve ever eaten and I’ve eaten tacos with ground up flaming hot cheetos in them. So yeah, they’re f*cking incredible.
And the fries they put inside the pita are my fav kind– the extra greasy, limp kind where you really taste the oil. f***ck. So good.
Also, it’s connected to a glassblowing shop and if you go in the back dining area (down the hall that looks like it could only possibly lead to the bathroom) there’s a window where you can watch super hot dudes blow glass. Don’t believe me? Take a gander:

Absolutely obsessed with their falafel sandwich. I work nearby and this is my go-​to on days I don’t bring my lunch. Cute little place. There’s not much seating but there is extra in back of the front is full. The employees have always been super nice and the food is amazingly fresh and delicious. Highly recommend this place.

My only complaint about this place is that the sabich doesn’t come with amba. But they serve a sabich! That’s pretty remarkable when most Mediterranean places cut their menu at the falafel pita. They have little bits of the pita sitting out to sample and I couldn’t help but try it out as I was waiting for my order. It was awesome, I totally started salivating over my sandwich right then and it didn’t disappoint. Good place to grab a quick eat.

I got the sabich, which is a pita sandwich with roasted eggplants. Delicious. The ingredients inside the sandwich were really good. I wasn’t a fan of the actual pita bread itself, so maybe next time, I’ll get the sabich plate. The other things on the menu sound good too, so I’d definitely come back again. They’re also located next to a glass blowing shop, and if you sit in the back, there are windows to the back of the shop where you can watch the glass blowers make the actual glass sculptures. Pretty cool.

Food: 3.5. Ordered the Sabich and Falafel. Both sandwiches were tasty and made to order. Pita is freshly made, maybe we are not used to it, but the negative was that both of us found the pita to be too heavy after several bites and overwhelming.
Service: 5. Nice and friendly. And most importantly, hygenic. After paying, cashier put on disposable gloves to assist with cooking. Most places, they either leave on gloves and take cash, or don’t put on gloves afterwards. But good food handling here.
Interior is very small.

This is a type of food that’s hard to find, and harder to find when it’s this good.
My wife and I got the Falafel, my Sister got the Sabich, and her husband got the Shakshuka.
We were all happy, most notably my wife, who is from Israel.
It’s very cool that it’s right next to a Glass Blowing Studio that you can see into while you eat, and that you get 10% off with a Unilocal check-​in. Good food, good location, and a discount makes this a restaurant you should definitely try for yourself.

Delicious Mediterranean food AND a live glass-​blowing demonstration? Yes please.
I had no idea what I was in for when I went to Eggs & Plants, other than what seemed to be yummy falafel. I walked in and was greeted by a very sweet young lady, who took my order for a falafel sandwich, fries, and a mint lemonade. She asked me if I was going to eat in the back to watch the glassblowers work. How could I say no?
I sat in the back and enjoyed watching the glassblowers at work. I never really saw something like that before in my life. It was so cool. My food was brought to me and I thoughtfully munched away while watching the show. I was in heaven. What a great first night in Seattle.
The food was delicious and very filling. If you don’t have a huge appetite, I would recommend only getting a sandwich since they give you a ton of fries. The mint lemonade was also good, not too sweet but very refreshing. I would definitely revisit the next time I’m in Seattle.

I stopped there for a quick bite today for lunch. I was surprised by the interesting choices. The y have Mediterranean sandwiches. I got the eggplant and egg sandwich which was fried eggplants, eggs, salad, tahini sauce in pitta bread. It was good but and not very greasy.
The only reason I’m giving 3 starts is that the staff were moving stuff while I was there and cleaning the floors and I had to watch them move their mops and stuff. That was a little turn off. I got my sandwich to go but you can also eat there.
The store is connected to the glass blowing studio where you can take classes and look at their gallery. So while you are waiting for your order, you can look at some art work.

Wow. Talk about a fun place. First of all the back room has a view into the glass blowing studio next door. Perfect for those of us who are art wannabes. Plus Amazon now delivers.
The food however is the reason to come. They have falafel, hummus and other great stuff. I’m no expert in middle eastern cuisine but they have really fresh pita and not too much salt. I personally really liked the Iraqi which is eggplant and hummus. Yum!
They are super friendly as well and have a good selection of drinks from the refrigerator.
