They’re still a bit in the process of moving, mores the pity, but even so the resources were phenomenal. Also, happily, a Lucky Mojo retailer. Definitely my local magic shop.

Hello. My name is Jamilah. I have been frequenting this Shoppe for many years. Edge of the Circle Books is one of my absolute favorite shops to go to, by far. The people are nice/​very knowledgeable, and the atmosphere is cunning/​welcoming.
I am leaning towards Wicca/​Paganism, I do feel a connection with Magick/​Gothic Culture, I am a naturalist myself.
All and All, a great place to relax, and learn!

I always considered this place my one stop shop for everything I need in the different spiritual modalities that I practice. This place works hard to ensure you can get whatever you need and will even go out of their way to special order things in the shop. I will always refer those seeking occult supplies to stop by this location.

This store has an awesome selection of books, oils, incense and candles. Nice looking statues, jewelry, crystals, tarot and shirts too. It was my second time in here and it was nice to talk to an employee, for a minute. I hope that by posting this review it will bring them some business. Blessed be

I like this store a lot. My wife enjoys the shirts we buy there for her. I do have one gripe though. They are usually out of the pendants I want to get every time I go there. I wish they’d keep more of them in stock

Really liked this shop! The owner was very friendly and had a ton of tarot decks. I’m giving 4 stars because the bookbinders looking for, as well as 3 tarot decks were either out of stock or not there. Overall though great store! I had an issue with a deck I bought (manufacturers problem) and the return/​exchange was super easy

I’m updating this review because the products I purchased were defected and less than mediocre.
After my visit to this drab, untidy store, I was excited to use the cone incense with the little stand I bought.
Once I got home, my excitement was extinguished. It took wayyyyy too long to get the incense going, and it actually stopped burning not even a couple minutes after lighting it. The stand came with a lid with holes in it, so the smoke could ventilate out, but I deducted that this was the reason why it wasn’t burning correctly.
Once I got it to burn correctly and it was finished (no lid on the stand) I emptied it out to see a gross, black goo it left behind… a substance that is now burned on the metal stand.
Yes, the products I purchased were inexpensive, but I’ve bought the same product somewhere else for the same price and had no qualms with it.
Now I will never return to this hole-​in-​the-​wall.

I’m not going to lie, I have little to no use for this type of store. However, when convincing my girlfriend to venture with me to Capitol Hill, I explained to her that there would be Neato stores, and comic book stores and cool little restaurants and the first thing we’re going to see is going to be some Wiccan store… And then we got there, and what do you know the first store we see is a Wiccan bookstore and look at me, I am clairvoyant, bro. So we had to go in.
The guy who helped us, who appears to be the guy who owns it I think, was really nice and helpful. I bought a sticker and a T-​shirt, woohoo!

Raven is an excellent, masterful tarot card reader. Her reading is an art and her insight, compelling and genuine. I look forward to my next visit!

i am not too sure if the potions and oils work, but this store is definitely worth a visit.

So I randomly came across this bookstore and was pleasantly surprised at how friendly and helpful both a regular customer and an employee was here. I met Shawn who helped me find what I was looking for with jewelry and books. I told him and this customer about my situation and they were very helpful with giving me extra resources on other locations and stores that would be good for me. I HIGHLY suggest this place to others. Don’t be fooled by the name because they offer a lot of wonderful supplies besides magical supplies. Great customer service.

I am not pagan or Wiccan. I am an agnostic. So I am probably a spiritual tourist coming into a place like this. Steve and I walked past this place and I wanted to go in and check it out. The Edge of the Circle Books contains a huge amount of books on modern day pagan, Wiccan and other kinds of religions or spritualities. The subject matter was not something I was really into but I found it interesting. They even have a small fiction section with mostly horror books.
There are lots of other things in The Edge of the Circle Books and the thing that I was really impressed with was their large selection of incense. I will have to keep this place in mind when my stockpile gets depleted.

I am not wiccan and have never dabbled in the occult (well… there was that one time…). No, just joking. Let’s just put religious and spiritual differences to the side and focus on the merchandise, with the caveat that I have no clue what I’m talking about re: the symbolism or significance of these items and (no offense, really!!) bought these items as sweet Halloween decorations.
Cool candles! Ones that are double colors and have different colors on the inside than the outside (e.g., black exterior, red interior), some shaped like women, or like lovers, some votives, some with awesome pictures of a skeleton and a women manipulating a marionette man. Also skull-​shaped ones. Badass.

Adventuring around Cap Hill we stopped by this mystical store, (next door neighbor from HoneyHole!)
I think throughout the whole experience the Wizard owner was quite interesting. Me and my bff learned a lot from him. He did a lot of interesting spells like Egyptian, Wicca, Hinduism, Taoism. Gave us an interesting lecture about how all this religion scoops are basically a history of ideas. I think it was quite neat.
The store itself was alriiight. Lots of books incense, books on horoscopes, some love perfumes, neat swords, psychic reader-​was not there; did not look legit, and wicca jewelry.
The missing piece: WHERE ARE THE BEAUTIFUL AMULETS!!!

I am sorry to give this place a not-​so-​good review, because I had high hopes, but I honestly did not have a good experience here. I came in with my partner because we were in the area and I wanted to browse the books and Tarot decks. There were two staff members in here, and no other customers. The entire time we were there (maybe 5 – 10 minutes?) they completely ignored us and were having a discussion/​argument. We did not feel welcome, and ended up leaving without buying anything. I might give them another chance, because their selection did look promising.

This store looks crowded and mystical from the outside, and y’know, it kind of IS when you get in there, but it’s also clean and well-​lit. They’ve got a little of everything, neatly arranged by genre: Four Thieves Vinegar and Santeria candles over here, goofy bumperstickers over there, mystically themed jewelry, all kinds of tarot cards and stuff for altars. But it’s really a bookstore, a highly specialized bookstore with neat areas for every kind of occult, uncanny, spellbinding mystical whatchamacallit, right-​hand, left-​hand, Celtic, Norse, Mayan, Santa Muerte, the Necronomicon, all kinds of stuff. Some people on Unilocal have mentioned that they pick up dark energies from this place, but I get a vibe that it’s just really… busy… like an arcade with all the different games running at the same time. I’m not particularly psychically attuned, though, your mileage may vary.
The owner says on his website that he likes the occult but doesn’t like New Age stuff, and sure enough, there are remarkably few crystals, dolphins, or mystical Atlanean revelations to be found for this kind of a shop. I’m rating this store as «moderate» in price, but it certainly has plenty of more expensive stuff for people who want it – the ability to see and touch before you buy is worth it, in my opinion.
The resident tarot card reader is pretty awesome, Raven is down to earth and friendly but also tells the cards well without the «cold read» gimmicks some card readers use to make their divinations seem more relevant to the client. I wish she also cast runes.

Raven does a very good job with Tarot Readings! I am tempted to go back as I was a little scatterbrained during my reading I had trouble focusing… she hit so many things right on regardless though.
The store is really well put together with a variety of books and a huge tarot card selection.
I brought some family in on Sunday evening for some readings. The shop was very nice by staying open 10 minutes late to accommodate us all wanting full half-​hour readings.

Robert has a knack for keeping a large amount of some decent obscure occult books. Its a rare day indeed when I don’t find some volume I want to spirit home. Seattle is lucky to have shops like this.

Edge of the Circle Books is a nice, pleasant store to browse for items that are occult or Pagan in nature. I’ve been in this store dozens of times and have always been greeted warmly by those who work and shop there. I’ve come by and purchased various tarot decks in the past, for myself and as gifts for others, picked up a few cards that were perfect eye candy as well as a few books for research for some stories I’ve written. Their selection is respectable for the size of the store.
My best friend has been coming to see Raven, the in-​house tarot card reader, for many years. My friend has told me how she is always blown away by how accurate Raven is and is trying to convince me to go see her myself. From what I’ve seen of her work, she is patient, attentive and has a very calming demeanor.

I love this place.
The owner and staff are nice and helpful.
They have some really neat Egyptian stuff along with candles, daggers, pagan/​wiccan/​etc books, ritual tools, tarot, t-​shirts, etc. One of the only things I’ve ever bought here is a wall hanging of an Egyptian scene of some sort. I’m not sure what it is exactly, but I was drawn to it.
Some of the stuff they have is rather… dark. It’s not my kind of thing, but some of those books are interesting to flip through.
Neat thing– they ran out of gift certificates one time and Robert (the owner) ended up just writing the necessary information on the back of an advertisement they had and signing it. :)
They sometimes have interesting events going on in the downstairs room. I hear the staff are especially happy when the groups chant because it adds a little something extra to the upstairs atmosphere.
Um… if you use the bathroom (they share with Honey Hole), you might want to know that the first one you see is the MEN’S bathroom. That’s the one I used at first and always thought there was something weird about it. One day I had to wait and realized that there were TWO bathrooms and the other one was the one for women. Oops?
