Darkside Window Tinting

We had my wife’s Jetta tinted here when we first purchased the car about ten years ago. It still looks as good as the day it was put on. Now she has a new car that we’ll be bringing in for the same treatment.

I bought a new Lexus that came with factory tint, but didn’t seem nearly as dark as the tint on my prior car, so I called Darkside based on the stellar reviews. I arrived for my appointment and Carlos could tell right away that my factory tint was at the legal limit of (I think) 35%, and performed a test confirming it to be the case. He said that he could go darker, but of course that it would be illegal, so did not recommend it. I felt truly horrible about this since he’s a small business owner and I basically wasted a valuable appointment for him. I appreciate that he was honest with me and didn’t put me at legal risk so that he would make money that day. Great business owner with a lot of integrity — if I ever have the chance to use him in the future, I would do so without any hesitation.

This guy does truly professional, perfect work. Amazingly consistent and amazingly cheap!!! Super good deal, super fast service, super amiable professional tradesman who takes each car as seriously as the last.

Carlos did all the windows on my Honda Element in a few hours today and it looks PERFECT. In addition to doing great work he is knowledgeable and conscientious. Great job and I would recommend Darkside to anyone.

Service and quality of tint was fantastic! Not going to lie, I was a little put off being in a «sketchy» part of town, but its not really bad. There is a Starbucks and Ezelle’s a short walk down the street and where I sat and waited during the installation.
Things to note:
1)No real place to wait at the shop — it looked a little messy as well, but thats why there is a Starbuckets close by
2)Best deal I could find in the Seattle area where I still heard had great reviews.
3)Customer Service is awesome — Carlos is the mean and did an awesome job on 08 328xi Sedan (under $ 300 for entire car)
Bottom line: Its great deal that Carlos offers. I’d definitely put this on the top of the list

Carlos helped us when he would normally be out of office due to our tight schedule. My wife and I are pleased with the final results of our 2015 Subaru Forester. I can’t say I know too much about window tinting but I can say the reviews on Unilocal describe our experience with Darkside Window Tinting, Carlos is very professional in both customer service and the final product we received. I jus got my tint windows on darkside and it was a good experience the guy on the desk Carlos know a lot about, he take the time to explains everything .3 hours later tadaaaaa, my car was perfect , and for a good price .Now my 2006 tl is on the Darkside .I will recommend this place

Hands down great service here. Got an older vehicle done and it came out amazing, was so happy with what Carlos did. He’s a one man shop, and does an outstanding job. Prices may be slightly higher than others, but the workmanship and quality is worth it. Nice guy too.

All the positive reviews are correct, this place provides high quality window tinting. My tint has been on for about a year now and I haven’t had any issues whatsoever. It looks GREAT!
I asked Carlos to match the factory tint on my 4Runner and he did an excellent job. He even met me at the shop early one morning on a day he typically does offsite work. I really appreciated his flexibility and willingness to fit my schedule and will definitely return if I ever need another car tinted.

I dropped my car off and it took approximately 4 hours to finish. I walked around the area and got lunch. Carlos was friendly and told me which window cleaning products to stay away from.
Note: Although it makes sense, I was unaware the windows could not be rolled down for a period 24 hours after installation.

Last week I had my new Subaru tinted here. The work and customer service were both excellent. Carlos was very flexible and kind, despite my being a less-​than-​ideal customer. I called 3 times in 15 minutes to change my appointment time, and then was late picking up my car after he waited around for me. He didn’t complain or show any agitation at all.
The windows look great, and he did a great job helping me pick out the right product and tint. Price was extremely reasonable. I am 100% satisfied.

The best PERIOD. I have tried many different tint shop around Bellevue/​Seattle but this one is the best. I had previously done my tint on a different shop all claim they cannot remove dust in the air when bubbles appeared in the tint. But, I do not see a single bubble on my tint done by Carlos. Pro works is different than pro wanna be works. that most tinting shops around WA claimed to be.

Over the course of four years I have visited Carlos at Darkside Window Tinting to take care of our needs.
The cars for the company that I own need to be quality inside and out, our clients deserve and expect it. When we bought our first car four years ago we consulted Unilocal to help us find a quality window tinting company. At that time, Darkside had a solid 5 star rating, so we gave Carlos a try. We were not let down by the work that was done and brought him our second, third, fourth, fifth and sixth cars! The quality of work is there and it only makes our cars look even better than when we bought them.
The only time we’ve ever had a problem was when we had some very tiny bubbles at the top of one of the front windows, when I showed them to Carlos… he fixed them right away as we were standing there. No return and no sight of those bubbles ever again.
Yesterday, I took him two new cars and he completed both of them in a matter of five hours. Yea, five hours for two full cars. He’s a hard working man that owns and operates Darkside all on his own and has earned every single legitimate review on Unilocal.I’m looking forward to bringing our next 43 cars to Darkside for our tinting needs.

I am VERY satisfied with my new tint. Carlos was very professional and did a great job explaining the process to me. My old tint was bubbling pretty bad on the back window, and Carlos pointed out that on rare occasions when the tint is this deteriorated it can damage the rear defroster strips when removing the old tint. I was glad that he pointed this out up front, as I prefer when people point out the downsides as opposed to glossing over them.
Carlos did a great job though, and the rear defroster stayed intact. The new tint looks awesome and really gave my car a face lift. His customer service was great, the tint looks great, and the price was great. Check, check and check!

I had 20% tint put on the front windows of my black 1999 Toyota Tacoma. I left the rear/​back factory window tint on so my objective was to match the front windows to the rear ones. Carlos (the owner) did a very good job of doing just that. I met with him in the morning, he went over the two options of tint that I was considering (20% and 35%) and then squeezed me into his schedule that very day.
I returned at approximately 2:30 to have my truck worked on. It took him all of 42 minutes to complete the job! Wicked quick and it looked awesome! I thoroughly checked the windows afterward and they look good. The only issue I found was what looked like soap stains from when I washed the truck earlier, hopefully this is just something that was used with the installation of the tint — you can only see if in the bright sunlight though, 95% of the you don’t even notice they are there.
All in all I was very pleased, I would definitely go back or recommend him to someone else.

I love Carlos’ tint work on my car. He was very professional and answered all of my questions thoroughly. My car is my baby, so I looked very carefully at everything he did. He was detailed and only missed one spot but as soon as I pointed it out, he fixed it right away.
Note: The venue is super sketchy looking, but trust me, don’t just judge by aesthetics. =]
Would highly recommend anyone to get their car tinted here and would most definitely come back if I bought a new car and needed a tint job again.
