I live in the Darco Building on 1811 Summit Ave. Did not recommended, this place is the worst and don’t let the rent amount fooled you since you gonna pay the same amount as other apartment(which is way more better than here) because the way how they calculate bill is mess up. When I first moved in, the carpet was old and dirty but we put some furniture on to cover it and do you know how much they ask for the cleaning fee — 400 $. Man, with 400 $ they should do better job than that. And within the first month I lived in there the bulb in the bathroom EXPLODED(No joke), good thing that no one got hurt. The staffs in here, except the maintenance team have giving me an unfriendly feeling. They have a parking lot but you cannot park in there??? Stuffs are old and breaking all the time, hot water was not even last for 10 minutes during the shower. The washer/dryer is terrible, my washed clothes smelled bad and the price to use them is expensive. SOPLEASE, DONOTHAVEANYRENTALWITHTHISPLACEORYOUWILLSOONREGRETIT.

I live in the Darco building on 12th and Harrison and I’m very happy here. My apartment manager is great and responsive, my neighbors are courteous, and the shared facilities are well maintained. I’ve been here 2 years now, pay a great price for an awesome view in Cap Hill, and the one time they raised the rent, it was only by $ 30. You can also set up an auto pay online, which is easy and hassle-free.

My roommate and I put in an application and deposit at a Darco apartment. We were told the deposit was an assurance that the place was ours unless we weren’t approved. The day before we were supposed to sign the lease, the landlord called to say the apartment had apparently been unofficially«promised» to someone else before we applied, so we were out. Just like that. The Darco people were unapologetic and matter-of-fact about the experience. They said our deposit would be mailed back to us via check … we still haven’t received it. We live in a Darco Inc. apartment building at 525 Bellevue Ave E on Capital Hill. It is horrible! The halls always smell bad and that smell seeps into your apartment. The managers keep changing and they don’t seem to do anything besides collect rent. The 1 elevator is so small that if you went in there by yourself, you would feel claustrophobic. Do not rent here!
