I was referred to Cynthia and now I refer her to others. She is the best massage therapist I’ve seen, gives a great deep tissue massage, and helps me keep my chronic back/shoulder pain in check. She is knowledgable of the body having been a former professional ballerina, professional, friendly, and easy to schedule and work with. Bonuses: The best part — she always gives me the full hour if not longer unlike many other massage therapists who will give 40 – 45 minutes or so after paperwork. She works Sundays and some evenings — good luck finding another awesome massage therapist who keeps these great business hours. Location is easy to find and street parking is free and easy to find.

I CAN“T BELIEVE that other review that I just read on Cynthia. Let me tell you, I have been getting massages for about 20 years and have had massages from at least 40 different therapists(probably more). Cynthia gives by far the BEST massage I have ever had. I like deep tissue massage and she is the only massage therapist that has ever gotten in there deep enough to make a difference. I feel significantly better after the massage and it lasts for a long time. Her prices are very reasonable and she is very accommodating when trying to fit you into her schedule. I have been going to her for a couple years now and won’t be wasting my time attempting to see anyone else.

Wow, talk about an unfair review. The last reviewer said that Cynthia hurt her… I really like a deep tissue massage. Having had hundreds of massage, I have become something of a connoisseur of massage. There is definitely a spectrum of massage treatment, and it really relies on DEPTH. It’s too bad for those people who prefer a light touch,(like the last reviewer), because massage feels good, but them it’s not very therapeutic. Cynthia never promoted herself as a soft-touch provider, and I certainly appreciated that, since she has the rare gift of strength in her upper body to allow for a deep-tissue massage. Nice doesn’t begin to describe Cynthia’s attitude. She’s so easygoing and fun to be around, I’ve referred literally hundreds of people to her… the mass quantity of which love her without question. I feel confident referring my wife and family to her and know they are going to love her.

She was nice enough, can’t fault her for that. When I walked in to fill out my paperwork before my massage, she was coughing and sneezing. Definitely not what I want from my massage therapist. Granted, everyone does that, but still, if you’re giving a massage that day that is the last thing I want. She said it was allergies, and it did seem to go away during the massage, but still. I told her in advance that I am very sensitive and needed a light touch. And when it hurt, I let her know. But after awhile when EVERYTHING hurt, I just gave up and resigned myself to receiving a bad massage. Toward the end of my 75 minute massage it got a little better but I left hurting worse than when I came in. And I hurt for days. My boyfriend had told me that once I felt better, I would feel worlds better, but that wasn’t the case. I hurt for several days and once I finally started feeling better, I was no better off, maybe even a little worse. I’m giving her three stars because, like I said, she was nice. My boyfriend enjoyed his massage, so it could just be that mine wasn’t great because I like a lighter touch and she definitely did not have that. She gets a star for being close to my house, seeing both us of the same day right after each other, and for participating in the massage special.
