Abe is great. I have gone to many barbers and Abe is the best and a great guy that is full of life. If you want a good haircut and a good conversation he is the way to go. Reasonably priced as well.

Great haircut from a hard working and skillful barber. And Abe’s hours are amazing! He is worth a try and you will likely become a repeat customer.

Abraham has been cutting my 6 year old son’s hair for almost 4 years now and he does excellent work. I now have a 2.5 year old and he also LOVES going to the Barber Shop to see Mr. Abraham. So glad this hidden gem is in our neighborhood!

I have only visited Abe once and I found him to be a very charming individual who does very good work. However, I am only giving him 3 stars because the last three times I went to visit him during his posted business hours he was not present; there was no note on the door, and since he does not maintain a website and his social media presence is spotty(at best), I had no way of knowing ahead of time whether there was any reason as to why he would not be there during his posted hours. This is unfortunate, since I’d really like to be able to go an old-school barber shop close by whenever I need my hair cut, but I won’t be taking anymore chances on him not being there in the future.

$ 23 for a very nice barber style haircut. He took a lot of time to make sure it was well done and how I liked it.

Abe gave me the best haircut I’ve had in years. He asked for the details in terms of how I style it and asked for feedback. He’s a really nice guy, and cuts all kinds of hair based on his clientele. $ 23 for longer hair(cheaper for buzz/fades) is pricier than some places but you get what you pay for — attention to detail. I’ll definitely be using him from now on.

I was headed out of town on business and didn’t have time to go to my regular spot on Capitol Hill, so I stopped in here and I am so glad I did. Abe is a master! He’s and old school barber and he knows what he’s doing. When I came home, my wife said that it was the best hair cut I have ever had! Definitely stop in here if you want a chill, no frills environment and an awesome cut.

My normal Barber went out of business so I found Abe and I was not disappointed at all. He was a great guy to talk to and did great work on my hair. I will definitely be going back next month.

Being from the South, I appreciate a good, old school barber. Getting my hair cut always makes me feel super sharp, and a good cut takes longer than 10 minutes. A solid barber takes his time and makes every cut unique. He talks to you. He’s a gentleman without being stiff and pretentious. It’s an experience. I brought my nephew in for a hair cut, and couldn’t be happier. He stays open real people hours. It’s a little more than you’re going to pay at a hair-mill place… but worth every cent. I appreciate what places like Rudy’s offers Seattle, but it’s not for me. I’ll take a neighborhood honest-to-goodness barber any day of the week. One word of advice: the«cut and kicks» was hard for me to see from the street, so keep your eyes open and look for the larger«Abe’s» for signage.

Go see Abraham. I will recommend to all my friends who live in the area, to witness a magician at work. Old school barber!!! Whether you want a line up, taper, shadow, ceasar, afro, spikes, or bald fade. He is the man to go see on Beacon Hill. Not only will you get a haircut, but you will learn lessons in life, marriage, kids, politics, news, & music preferably Al Green. Might I add he is the official barber for Portland Trailblazers: Brandon Roy!
