Cullom Gallery focuses on the tradition and influence of Japanese woodblock prints and related works on paper. Exhibits and inventory include ukiyo-​e style prints by 19th century masters, shin hanga and sosaku hanga-​style prints of the 20th century; and contemporary prints, paper cuts, and drawings by artists from Japan and the West who draw influence from the long tradition of Japanese printmaking. Cullom Gallery is a leading gallery showcasing emerging moku hanga artists in the Americas and Europe.

Business Owner

I am interested in the history and places in culture where Japan and the U.S. have met one another. That story starts back in the mid-​19th century and continues circling around and around even today. Japanese prints, paintings, drawings, commercially printed labels and postcards, and other paper arts, all tell the story of this circle of influence.
