I used to visit this shop as a kid in downtown Seattle 15 years ago. The same owner still owns it, but there used to be a bigger inventory. I remember all the Bugattis, Ferraris, Hispanos and Lambos.
He was always kind to me as a kid so I was excited to return as an adult and purchase my own car.
I finally bought an Alfa and I love it. The employees were easy to deal with, educated me and shared my enthusiasm. Evan, the manager was super enthusaistic along with me and I will definitely take my car back to them for service. I love my Alfa and it sounds so cool!

I recently purchased a car from Evan and Cosmopolitan Motors, and while the sale itself was easy and quick, I was extremely dissatisfied with the quality of repairs they performed prior to the sale, and the after-​care we received from Evan.
Prior to the sale, we discussed the condition of the vehicle and while I knew it was going to have some «issues» as all classic cars do, I was assured that it was in roadworthy condition. Before we took possession of the vehicle, their mechanic said he’d noticed «a drip» under the hood and wanted to fix it, so my wife and I went for coffee while he worked. When we returned, I assumed that he had repaired it.
This turned out not to be the case. The «drip» was the carburettors dumping gasoline onto the exhaust manifold and starter engine, a serious risk. There were other issues as well – most of which I did not expect CM to address – but I _​did_​expect the vehicle to be safe and not at risk of catching fire as I drove it home.
Also prior to the sale, I asked about peripherals such as soft-​top, side curtains, and spare tire/​jack. I was assured that it had all of those things, including a wire-​wheel and tire in the spare compartment. When we got it home, there was no spare wheel/​tire in the compartment, nor a jack for the vehicle. When I asked Evan about it, he said it must have been taken out when they detailed the vehicle, and he’d «look around» for it. That was six weeks ago. I’ve emailed and called to inquire and each time I’ve been given a promise, fobbed off, or flat out ignored. Now, my emails, phone calls, and messages go unanswered.
Overall, I found some of the floor staff at CM to be unknowledgeable about their cars, I found their second mechanic to be surly and unhelpful, and I found management to be unwilling to work with me to rectify the _​one_​situation I asked them to fix (i.e., the spare tire). While Evan and CM have some truly beautiful vehicles in their showroom, they are not the only game in town, and I would recommend future patrons to be cautious; from my experience, after the sale, you’re going to be on your own.

Evan McMullen and Cosmopolitan Motors are gems in the automobile world. My Alfa Romeo convertible from Cosmopolitan Motors served me well for many years. I just wish I visited Seattle more often!
