The good: Walked into Irish bar next door and walked right out to loud to rowdy. Found this place and felt welcome. Friendly crowd and friendly bartender. I had an abundance of drinks at this place and all were tasty. I also had he shrimp tacos hot, fresh, and also tasty. The bad: if you are a picky drink mixologist person you’re better off ordering something simple here. Conclusion: All in all good place. I will be back.

Once upon a time Contour was my regular go to happy hour venue. I was always recommending it to everyone for its great food, stellar cocktails and later happy hour to 7pm, so it felt such a letdown during my recent experience there after a couple years absence. First, the bartender refused my request to charge a well drinks price plus an extra for my cocktail of choice. They used to always do that so cocktails would be around $ 7 during happy hour. Wells are $ 5. I ended up paying $ 9 plus. The food was very disappointing and so drastically different in quality and quantity. I ordered the mahi mahi tacos and nobody at the table could even see any fish, just a whole bunch of slaw and after microscopic investigation, a paltry few fish flakes in aioli, the shrimp tacos were similar in terms of the notable absence of shrimp — we had a good laugh about it at the table and teased our server. She was very sweet, she did the best she could. The chicken skewers were puny and dry and the lamb skewers were tasteless. Only the fries were good and the calamari wasn’t bad. They’ve definitely skimped on food whereas before, it was bountiful and such great value. I won’t be going back or recommending it to anyone. I hate when a favorite goes downhill. Oh and the signature torso sculpture on the wall behind the bar is gone now too, so the décor is kind of random and bland and lacks CONTOUR!

Bartender very rude. I ordered a beer and when my friend went to order the bartender said«I don’t have time for you» and took someone else’s order. The bar was not busy. Never got my beer and bartender continued to ignore us. Left and got better service somewhere else.

The bartender was extremely rude. Knew nothing about beer. I will never go back. In fact wouldn’t even buy a beer from her

In response to Sheena C.‘s review below. It is extremely uncool to take pictures of folks at their place of business, not to mention unprofessional and threatening. No one should be treated in such a way, whether or not there was a service dispute. I doubt that Sheena C. would be OK with someone entering her place of business, covertly photographing her, and posting it online. I don’t think that she realizes the impact a review and attack like this can cause. If she did, she wouldn’t have treated the staff cruelly. Additionally, Sheena’s review is simply false, inaccurate, and should be wholly disregarded. Now, for a proper review! I’ve been going to contour regularly for one year now(2 – 3 times per week). Clay and Jess are amazing, they know our names, provide excellent service, and they are super relaxed and cool. Whenever there’s an issue, they address it immediately. They make special accommodations, like holding a table or fixing a drink on occasion. Just last week I forgot my wallet and they told me to take care of it next time. We rely on this place for after-work meetings and get-togethers. It’s dark inside, the booths are comfortable, and we consider it our watering hole. The interior of the bar is vintage trim(bricks, mirror, hardwoods). My friends and co-workers would really miss this place if it wasn’t there. I am strictly a HH guy, so the food works perfectly. It’s tasty, simple, well-prepared bar food. I recommend the tater tots and tacos, and once in a while the a burger. There are great drink specials for HH. They have a great street-side patio for warmer nights and the large front windows open up in the summer. It’s a great place and deserves a stop if you’re in the neighborhood!

We went in for brunch prior to a Seahawks game and everything went well. Even with a bit of a wait and a backed up kitchen, things went smoothly. Their menu is small but well executed for bar style brunch and well priced for the area. Friendly and efficient table service was provided which is my one true desire when dining in a bar establishment.

Went during happy hour at 1500 hours. We were the only ones in there until the self proclaimed«gangsters» walked in. Happy hour prices were still a little high at $ 5 for a pint of fat tire.

Poor customer service. Although there were only 10 people in the club. I had to yell at the bartender in order to get a drink. Music was ok.

Let’s start by stating I’ve been a regular for about a year now. My coworkers were looking for a cheap happy hour and we found way more. The staff is amazing and they truly are great people. Ended befriending lots of them. The vibe varies a lot depending to the crowd but most of them are cool people. I’m not a fan of the games’ crowd who stops by a big too drunk and entitled expecting no wait when the place is packed! But again, that’s the regular in me wanting to have a chat with my favorite bartenders in town. S/O to the BOH staff and the crew running the music. If you’re in he area, stop by. Be nice to the staff and have great time!

Happy hour food was as expected for a bar, which was nothing special. Frozen burger patties, wings with half the meat, but the tacos were ok despite the well done tortilla. After ordering one beer with dinner the manager demanded we have another one or we would pay full price. I explained that the menu said it was required to order«a» drink for happy hour prices not multiple and that I don’t drink alcohol. I felt bad for the nice waitress who was clearly terrified of her manager who asserted her dominance when I ask for the check and forced my friend to pound another tall boy so we were late for the mariners game. The waitress tried to smooth things over but I’ll never ever ever be back after how that manager spoke to me… A customer!!!

Contour is a really great place. I like their happy hour(chicken wings!!!), and the way the bar/lounge area is split off from the dance floor is cool. They also have a great patio in the summertime to eat and drink on. The dj booth has a nice big screen that usually has something fun playing on it and the lights/effects on the dance floor are cool too. The staff is always nice as well. The monthly Bollywood parties that happen here are wild. Seattle Bollywood scene is great here with DJRDX and other DJs that come and perform. The crowd is always fun and pleasant and the movie-like dancing is great. The sound quality is good too. I hate clubs where you cant hear the music because the bass is too heavy or the speakers are bad. Always have fun here This is definitely the type of place you want to grab a few friends and come check out!

This place rocks my socks. I remember coming in with socks on and when I left, they were gone! Anyways, they do themed nights in the weekends. It’s different every time I visit! Drinks are perfect! Not too strong; can still enjoy it without the burn but they don’t gyp you neither! 10⁄10 will tell my grandkids.

So I have to talk about a new-ish night at Contour that I stumbled upon by staying at happy hour a little late… Movie night! They play cult classics on their big projector, for free, WITHSNACKS! Like, awesome snacks. Popcorn, fresh veggies and dips, candy… did I mention the snacks were free? I stayed one night and got to watch Labyrinth, have Ollie(the greatest bartender in town) serve me delicious concoctions, AND eat mini Reese’s cups all night. What more could you ask for? I’ve also been coming to contour for happy hour for about a year now, and I have to say it’s one of the best in Seattle. The food prices are UNREAL for what you get. The shrimp tacos are amazing! I feel like I’ve gotten them a hundred times and I still love them. The small group of girls who work happy hour are awesome, they’re all so sweet, and you can tell they all love each other, which makes it a great place to hang out. Once you go in a couple times they’ll totally remember you and your drink order and make you feel like a beloved regular. Happy hour drink prices are rad too. With $ 8 doubles, you can totally eat and get a buzz on for, like, $ 15. Again… what more could you ask for?

It wasn’t bad. Went in on First Thursday. Our server didn’t seem overly joyed to be serving us for some reason. She wasn’t outright bitchy though, so whatever. We didn’t come here for the dance club, so I’m not reviewing it based on that at all. The inside was chill, dark, and relaxing. The volume of the music was the perfect level. We didn’t have to shout to each other in order to communicate. The food was inexpensive and good. The happy hour menu was actually pretty big, but not many draft beers to choose from. This was a very average experience. Not bad or good. I probably won’t go again unless I’m very hungry, and it’s happy hour, and I’m right there. I wish we were made to feel more welcome. Instead I felt like we were an inconvenience to our server.

Okay, let’s keep this short and sweet. 1. Food was actually decent and cheap during happy hour. 2. Bartender was drinking on the job. It was pretty dead during happy hour. I didn’t realize how ugly the human population is. A few people kept trickling in and these two ogres kept making out next to me and my friends. I WOULD have given this place one star but the food was actually decent so I’ll give it 2. Come here if you have nowhere else to go… I GUESS.

I just moved to Seattle and wouldn’t give our a 5 stars too easily. Contour deserves it. I will admit, I have only been there for happy hours, but the number of tapas style dishes available is great. With chefs trained at Cordon Bleu, you know you will get something worth eating. And for the price? Cannot beat it. Moreover, half their dishes are vegetarian — something near impossible to find in a meat and seafood loving city. By far, the best part of Contour is the staff. They realized I just moved here and were giving advice and opinions on different areas. I have had a blast every time I have been there and will definitely make this one of my local places.

Everyone raves about this place I must have gone on an off night. The door people were rude and gave me shit for My goth attire. The dance floor was small and dead and the drinks were crazy high. They now host gothy type nights but after My initial visit here and even though everyone tries to get Me to go I cannot bring Myself to go again :(

Great place for happy hour. We stopped by on a Friday for food and drinks after work. They had a Manny’s /Fireball deal going where you got both for $ 8. Three of them did just the trick to get the night started. We also had the tots and bbq wings which were really good for around $ 5 a piece.

Preface: this rating is only for happy hour. Never been clubbing here. Came here a handful of times because it was close to work. HH goes til 8 or 9pm these days, so it’s super convenient if you feel like you keep barely missing those end-too-early types of 4−6pm happy hours. Contour gets the job done for HH. They even have outdoor seating for the nice weather(though I recommend coming with a small group and getting there as close to 5pm as possible, if you want to sit outside. Since it’s actually a nightclub, the back of the venue(away from the windows/entrance) gets pretty dark and dreary. Booths are super comfy though. Service has been consistent, though they are not always the quickest to close out tabs sometimes. The food is pretty decent. There’s like 20HH items on the menu($ 4−7ish each), including a salad with fennel and scallops, chicken quesadilla, turkey panini with fries, and more. Not just greasy bar food. And the HH drink specials are pretty good too, whether you’re a beer drinking or a cocktail person.
