Community Day Center For Children

I am so fortunate to have found this gem of the community! I love that my experience with CDCC has been more than just enrolling my child into a school, but joining a family. Ms. Lois knows the sound of my voice when I call, and all the teachers know me and my other child, who does not even attend the school, by name. I love that I am constantly getting emails and newsletters offering tidbits on events in the community and tips to raising happy, healthy children. I am deeply grateful to Ms. Lois and the staff at CDCC for the love and hard work they invest not just into my child, but my family!

We couldn’t be happier with this place! (And are so happy we found it) Our daughter is in the Waddler Program 3 times a week and has adjusted beautifully. We love how culturally diverse it is, how loving and friendly the staff is and how laid back things are, our kid can be a kid. We are also very impressed by how well behaved the kids are (all ages) and how well things are run. It’s a real gem!

When we toured this center we were really excited. It seemed like such a great place. We very quickly learned otherwise. We are vegetarian. We made sure everyone knew this but our daughter was constantly fed chicken the teacher claimed it’s not meat because it’s a bird. Everyday she cried because she didn’t like how her teachers talked to her. One morning when we dropped her off the teacher saw that she was crying and said «I got my nails did, don’t they make me pretty» way to en still the image that she has to have her nails done to be pretty. They are a nonreligious center yet they say canned prayers before each meal and it is totally acceptable to play Christian music all day. This carried into our home life and we are not religious. One day we had enough and pulled her because all she did was cry to the point of having red marks on her face from running off tears. I wasn’t going to pay an arm and a leg to send her here. When I informed the director that that was her last day she charged us for a half of the next month and said «her last day will be in two weeks» I payed it, but she never went back.
Since then she has moved to a different school with quality teachers and we have none of those problems.

We have returned to CDCC pre-​K after two years with a much more expensive corporate center downtown. The staff here are dedicated to learning and positive social values. It’s a very rich multi-​cultural environment that has been a terrific experience for our daughter. Highly recommended.

I love love love this childcare center. From the director Lois to all the teachers, and support staff, this place is fabulous. They have a big group of kids but it is such a family atmosphere. Each child is known by name. They cater to the development of the whole child. My children were always excited to tell me of the things they did each day. I strongly encourage anyone looking for safe, fun, quality childcare to research this place for yourself.
