Claire Newman Homes specializes in residential real estate in the Greater Seattle area. One of the few Seattle natives you’ll find, I’ve spent my life in this amazing city, living in different neighborhoods. I have a handle on different local vibes, area amenities, the potential for commutes. I’m proactive, have a plethora of experience, great client reviews, and keep the process streamlined and fun. History

Established in 2010.

I started off in real estate in a depressed market, with nearly ¼ of all homes on the market being either a short sale or bank owned property. Lenders held the purse strings tightly, and buyers had new hoops to jump through with getting their mortgages approved. Over the past few years the Seattle economy and housing prices have risen dramatically, giving long term home owners their equity back. Although prices continue to rise, the interest rates have remained low, so buyers are able to afford more than they were in the mid 2000 bubble.

Having started when I did gives me great perspective on where we are now. It’s always changing, and real estate remains a hyper local business. I’m thrilled to continue my business in this growing, dynamic city.

A true Seattle native! Born and raised on Queen Anne hill, I currently reside in the Columbia City neighborhood and work city-​wide. If I’m not working, you can find me in my garden, throwing the football with my kids, running around Seward Park, baking cookies or bread in my kitchen or riding horses.

I take my business seriously but maintain a sense of humor throughout the process.
