Cicada Bridal

I couldn’t be happier with my experience at Cicada Bridal. I’m so glad I stumbled upon them on Unilocal and (spoiler alert), after going to four different stores in the Seattle area, I ultimately bought a dress from them.
Huge pro right off the bat is that you can make an appointment online instead of having to call, and call, and call like a lot of other shops. Morgan was running a little late to our appointment because she was on the phone with a stressed-​out bride, but she was super apologetic and got right to pouring champagne.
The dressing rooms are divided, so there’s space for you to change and a separate area for your friends to wait. Each room has a huge mirror and a block for you to stand on to get a full view of the dress. So awesome and so much better than the stores where I was fighting for mirror space.
Morgan was attentive, funny and quick on her toes. It felt just like having another friend there with me, one who gave her honest opinion and didn’t try to hard sell me on anything. Morgan was so good at showing me how the alterations would look, including pulling the ruching a little tigher at spots and adding a little bit of fabric to show cap sleeves.
I had a tough time picking between the Deanna and the Marie, but made the decision to go with the Deanna the very next day. I was trying to submit my order in time for teh 10% off sale that ended in January but missed their hours by just 10 minutes. rats. I was surprised to get a call from Morgan ten minutes later to say she was working a little late with another bride and would be happy to take my order in time for the sale. Awesome customer service right there, folks.
The best part of buying a dress from Cicada is that all the prices include alterations. This helped bring my dream dress down into my price range a little more since it was initially at the top end of what I wanted to spend.
I can’t wait to see my dress and am really excited to have found a store as awesome as Cicada to get it from.

Morgan was incredibly efficient and super nice with letting me pick out gowns on my own, but also suggesting a few additional for me to try on. The gowns fit like a glove and they can be tailored made to whatever your preferences are. It’s also a deal since the alterations are included. I have a short turnaround time for my wedding and they were able to accommodate my schedule (especially from out of town). Thanks Cicada!

I am from Wisconsin. I was visiting Seattle for a week when I spotted the shop! I had not shopped prior to this trip nor did I have any intention to shop during my time there. There was a long sleeve lace in the window calling my name and I couldn’t stop thinking about it for the next couple days so i stopped in an hour before close on a Tuesday without an appointment. I know, i know, I felt bad but i just wanted to try the one!
Morgan came and helped me; she is great! She let me try on dresses to my hearts content (since my window dress bait just wasn’t the one). The third one I tried on fit LIKE A GLOVE. I honestly felt it was made for me. We found a bridal sash to match and i was out the door, dress in hand. The experience was awesome– there was no pressure, no rushing, just assistance finding a dress i could love.

I didn’t end up getting my dress here, but I had a really nice experience with Morgan, my consultant.
Pros:
— They let you pick out things yourself if you want to.
— The sales environment was very casual — I didn’t feel pressured to buy anything.
— They can also customize the dresses for you, since they are made it house, so you can swap out necklines, hemlines, lace options, ect.
— They let you take photos. A lot of other bridal shops are VERY fussy about this, so I appreciated that photos were encouraged.
— You get a semi private room, so you don’t feel like you are on display trying on things.
Additional notes: Alternations are included into the price of the dress, so depending on your budget you could actually save a few dollars in the long run, even if at first glance some of their dresses are a little pricier. They don’t have a giant selection, but their dresses are very classic and pretty, so I would suggest checking them out if it fits your style.

Wonderful local bouquet. Gowns are more refined, and antique. This is not a shop for a fashionista or diva; but a bride with refined tastes.

Awesome service from Cassy and the best part is that they will custom make your dress for about the same as most stores off the rack styles. Can’t say enough about the positive experience my niece (the bride), my sister (her mom) and I had there.

For brides looking for unique, ethereal dresses that fit perfectly: this is the place for you! Cicada features made-​to-​order dresses that are crafted to your body perfectly, as well as off-​the-​rack sample dresses with great prices. I didn’t actually end up getting my dress here, just a lace topper, but the sales woman, Cassie (I think?), was incredibly helpful and spent way more time than necessary being so patient with my indecisive self.
The price point was about average, but a little high for me. All of the dresses were over $ 1,000 from what I could tell. The shop was gorgeous, comfortable, and had all of those pretty elements that you hope for in a bridal boutique.
I loved my time there and felt very supported, never pressured, in my experience.
I highly recommend this shop to any PNW bride!
