I have been taking my cars to Chris’ Car Care for a few years now. It’s refreshing to find such a trustworthy mechanic! I have two cars and he has twice now come in under what the original quote was. I had a quote from another mechanic before I started coming to Chris and Christina it was over $ 1000. Chris did the work and the bill was $ 300. They will never over sell and always be straight up with you. I will never go anywhere else!!!

I am as surprised as anyone to be writing this negative review after having received good service in the past from Chris. I actually worry about him personally as things have really gone bad quickly.
We’ve been taking our car there over the past few years, and Chris was always polite and accommodating, especially to my wife. That has changed.
A month ago my wife tried to make an appointment for her car. Speaking with him she discovered that he no longer had a loaner (which he’d had previously) and asked him about if it was possible to borrow one as he’d offered in the past. He then told her that it was her own damn responsibility to get a loaner, and he was lucky to even have a car himself, let alone a loaner. (? what was up with that?)
He then dropped off of the face of the planet, his voice mail was full for weeks, and he wasn’t around the shop.
Then it really got weird. I called today to schedule and drop off the car. He said he was pissed off because he was sick and tired of people asking him to have a loaner, or having to reschedule (she’d never rescheduled). I said great, as I’m not asking for a loaner. He then said he was lucky to even have his own car (echoing what he’d said to my wife before). He then went completely nuts on a long verbal tirade, and said he didn’t want to work with people like my wife who had unrealistic expectations.
He had never been like this before, never acted this way before, so something must be up with his personal life, drugs, etc. The way he sounded on the phone I would not allow my wife to go by there, even though I’d had full trust in him before.
What a bummer, now back to Viking or Daisywagon which are farther from our house.

Chris helped me very much with my water pump on my ’99 Toyota Rav. I totally trust these people, unlike another mechanic in the Wedgwood neighborhood who told me the changed my water pump (while doing the timing belt), but did not. Review on this biz forthcoming. Anyway, Chris spent most of the day doing my water pump. He honored the price he quoted me, even though it turned out to be a bigger job than anticipated. I hope this biz does well in the neighborhood, because trustworthy mechanics may be a rare thing.

Amazing shop! I’ve taken my Volvos, Volkswagen and my daughter’s Chevy there. These folks are excellent with people. Chris explains everything that needs doing, offers all the options and even worked with me each time to find a solution we were both happy with. Very reasonable and work is reliable. Also, he has a great tow guy!

Chris was very friendly and even replaced my spare tire with a real one free of charge. He did a thorough, exceptional job.
