The view from Kerry Park is outstanding and so is the beautiful steel sculpture located there too. As the plaque on a wall at Kerry Viewpoint tells us: «Kerry Park given to the City in 1927 by Mr. and Mrs. Albert Sperry Kerry, Sr., so that all who stop here may enjoy this view.» The sculpture«Changing Form» by Doris Chase was added in 1971, a gift from Kerry’s three children. This modern public art is awesome and a popular shot for photographers who come to line up the«Changing Form» with the scenic background behind it. Kids love«Changing Form» almost as much as the camera totters. It stands 15 feet high in the middle of the 1– acre park. The smooth, black curves of the statue are very dramatic against the postcard-perfect background of scenic Seattle. No wonder brides and grooms, engaged couples and prom teens flock to Kerry Park and the«Changing Form» statue to take their special photos at. 5 UnilocalSTARS!
