History

Established in 1993.

Cascadia Consulting Group’s roots are in a pizza parlor in downtown Seattle, where Charlie Scott and Marc Daudon met over a slice. It wasn’t long before the two decided to build something new together. Charlie and Marc formed Cascadia Consulting Group, Inc. in March 1993.

Through the 1990s, Cascadia grew organically, creating successful waste reduction and recycling policies and programs across the West Coast while building trusted relationships with cities, counties, and states. Starting around 2000, Cascadia added staff with expertise in sustainability, natural resources, and climate change to broaden its client services.

In 2014, Cascadia appointed Francis Icasiano to serve as the company’s Chief Executive Officer. Francis previously served as Cascadia’s CFO/​COO and oversaw the firm’s day-​to-​day operations and financial performance.

Meet the Manager

Manager

For more than 10 years, Francis has overseen Cascadia’s corporate, financial, and administrative operations, working with principals and project managers across the company to track company progress against established financial and operational goals. As CEO, Francis works with Cascadia’s Board of Directors and the Executive Management Team to plan and implement strategic directives related to the firm’s mission and vision, staffing, business development, client relations, and long-​term growth. Francis is tasked with preserving Cascadia’s focus on responsive and client-​centered service, high quality standards, unique «small business» culture, award-​winning flexible workplace policies, and strong network of clients and partners while ensuring continued growth, profitability, and performance.
