Cascade Moving & Storage Inc

We used Cascade Moving and Storage for a sixty mile move in January 2014. They were recommended to us by a friend who researched moving companies on our behalf. We are an elderly couple and we were moving out of a 1700 square foot home we had lived in for 40 years to a retirement community.
Although this was a very stressful time for us, Cascade’s professionalism before, during and after the move were simply outstanding. We were very nervous about choosing a company we had never heard of before but their bid, which was personally delivered to us by the owner (Eric), was significantly lower than the other bids we had received.
We boxed much of the stuff ourselves, but the movers came the day before the move and boxed the clothing which was on hangars and some very precious antique lamps and furniture items for us.
On the day of the move, they came right on time as promised and they were at our new home shortly after we arrived there ourselves. They were extremely good about getting things to the right rooms and, even more importantly, precisely in the right spots in each room. They even hauled away all of the boxes and cleaned up other cleaning debris.
We have been meaning to write this review for some time now.
We would unequivocally recommend this company to others based on our delightful experience with them.

It has been a long time since I have had to hire a moving company. Cascade was highly recommended by someone whom I trust. Amazing move. On time, carefully handled every item, managed the halls and corners without a single «oops!»

I have used them twice… obviously the second time because they did a great job on the first which entailed moving my mother from an apartment she had occupied for over 40 years in lower Queen Anne. Tough job but they got it done in less time than they thought and there were no issues. The gents that did the work were very courteous and careful. The second move was two or so years later. It involved moving furniture and disposing of some of it at a Goodwill site. The move went smoothly and one of the crew was involved in the first move. I was pleased that they would do the donation on the way back to their shop thereby saving me additional hassle and I tipped them for doing it. When I got the breakdown from their office I questioned the charge because of how long it took them to get back to their shop. I spoke with Eric (the owner) whom I had dealt with previously. He is a totally straight up guy. He ate the upcharge without any issues, thanked me for tipping his guys AND sent me a check to make the bill right since my credit card had already been charged. I have since recommended his company to two assisted living facilities as someone who is local AND trustworthy. I’ve been involved in commercial debt recovery for 40+ years and have had to go after numerous moving companies across the country. I’ve had considerable experience dealing with the owners and the fronts for these companies and I can tell you that Cascade and Eric are not one of them. No he’s not my brother-​in-​law:), just a hardworking and honest local businessman in my estimation.

Worst moving company ever!!! I would never recommend this moving company to anyone. Many of our items were damaged during our move and even though the guys moving our stuff insisted that the owner had connections to get our couch and bookcase repaired, they ended up not having someone to do the repairs. In trying to get all of this dealt with Rebecca one of the owners was completely rude. Absolutely no people skills whatsoever. Shame on cascade moving for there substandard customer service. The quote I recieved was nothing near what they charged. I paid almost double what my quote was as well. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU DON’T USE THIS COMPANY!!!

I’ve used Cascade moving 3 times and watched my friends use them twice!
They nailed it every time.
The do moving by the book; especially if you live in the city. They obtain the correct loading permits block the street and get you out of your place and onto your new place.
My moving patterns…
Belltown (5 years) — Queen Anne (6 months) — Belltown (2 years) — Pioneer Square (so far).
They did great; typically three guys per move which seems like overkill but really its worth it… pack up my stuff in 1.5 hours 15 min ride unload in 2 hrs… completely reasonable.

I have used Cascade Moving & Storage for three different moves. I’m a former real estate agent, and over the years I have referred many friends and clients to Cascade as well. I have NEVER heard a negative word about their work. They are fair, efficient, and careful with their customers’ belongings. Their crews are friendly and extremely capable. In the Seattle area, you’d be crazy to go anywhere else!

I didn’t use them for my move, but their selfless consideration of my needs is worth a gold star.
I called up for a quote, which was pretty reasonable, but they ultimately suggested a moving company that was closer to where I lived to save on travel costs. He even gave me the name and number of the owner.
The suggestion worked out wonderfully and I wanted to give Cascade credit for leading me there. It takes a big man to take money out of his own pocket to help a consumer make a good decision.

Used Cascade for piano moving. Attempted to tell me they took 3.5 hours with traffic and a car accident happened on the highway so therefore I should pay for it. I clarified it all but I’m not the happiest customer right now.
The move went smoothly. They knew what they were doing. But I wouldn’t say they are the most trustworthy.
