History
Established in 1983.
Broadway Vision Source had its start in the mid-60’s as two separate offices — Dr. Bernard Commaree (near what was then Fred Meyer on Broadway), and Dr. Shinji Kozu. In 1979, Dr. Wayne Matheny bought these two practices and consolidated them at Dr. Kozu’s office location at 118 Broadway East. In 1982, Dr. Matsunami acquired the practice (and named it Broadway Vision Clinic), after which Dr. Nakatsu became a business partner in 1984. We joined Vision Source — a consolidated group of independent optometric offices in North America — in 1997, and changed our «Clinic» name to «Source.» We moved the office location to its present location on Pike St. in 1999 where we continue to enjoy serving those in the greater Capitol Hill and Seattle area.
