I stopped by on my way back from the ferry terminal and it was just the job! I got the tofu stone pot bibimbap and like another reviewer said it was hot from start to finish. I liked the restaurant setting a lot, maybe a bit small for some people’s liking but it reminded me of a neighbourhood noodle bar and felt kind of homely :) I haven’t had much exposure to Korean food but this has been my favourite so far!

This was the best Korean food we have had for a long time. Sushi bowl was the best and delicious. Tiny space with big taste.

I loved my dol sot beef bibimbop with a extra side of kim chi. The boys of crunchy rice at the bottom of the stone bowl were a delight. I can’t find Korean food in my hometown in Arizona and was so happy to get my spice fix today in Seattle. There is very limited humble seating in this small restaurant. Of course you can only get the dol sot bowl for eat– in.

I drove to downtown Seattle just for this place as the reviews were good, even in the local press. While at first I was taken aback by the lack of tables(the owners call it a restaurant), I decided to go in because it smelled amazing from outside. Surely, the cuisine was amazing. I tried the hot stone bibimbap with beef. It was delicious! The veggie, rice and meat were properly balanced. The flavors came together nicely and without overpowering the dish. Authentic flavors! I recommend it. Beware that is more like a workday lunch seating setting(you’ll be facing the wall). But if your main goal is the food, you’re in for a great treat! Enjoy!

Great spot for lunch in downtown. The portions are large enough that if you finish in one sitting, you’ll be stuffed. I like the variety of bibimbaps they have here along with a couple of other miscellaneous items. Would love to come back and try the japchae. I would say it’s about $ 10 — $ 13 for lunch, not unusual for a hot lunch in downtown. The place probably seats about 15 or so, so I can definitely see it getting crowded at lunch hour.

Came here yesterday on my lunch break. My friend said he wanted bibimbap and he found this place, so we walked over from my office. Super close to me, score! We both order the stone bowl dol sots: — chicken — pork Both came out piping hot with a ton of veggies! Rice had that crispiness to it at the bottom of the bowl. Small place with limited seating. Bowls are $ 11+. I’ll be coming back to this lunch spot:)

I wasn’t sure what I wanted for lunch yesterday, but I was definitely wanting a bunch of veggies. I used Unilocal to guide me through some restaurants in the area and when I saw Bibimbap, I was like, «Duh, bibimbap for my veggie fix!» So off I went. When I arrived, the lady at the front was very welcoming. I ordered the mushroom dolsot bibimpbap. Dolsot bibimpbap is served in a hot stone bowl so it’s a nice way to warm up in the cold weather. I took a seat and the food arrived in about 10 minutes. The bibimpbap was hot from beginning to end. There were a bunch of veggies including some kale, bean sprouts, carrots, and cucumbers. They gave a generous amount of mushrooms and had a nice fried egg laying on top of everything. The only thing I felt was skimping was the hot sauce. I got traces of hot sauce here and there but really wanted it with every bite. I asked if I can get more hot sauce and they gave me a squeeze bottle so… I went to town with it and my dish was completely perfect! I left the shop sweating from the hot meal. Bibimbap is a great place for a quick lunch by yourself or with another person but probably not ideal for groups since the seating is mostly a single table facing the wall so you can’t face each other.

Bibimbap likely used to be a spot but I must have seen some older reviews /menus where they still had Sundubu and cheaper overall prices. We came around lunch; the inside is very small so don’t expect to eat-in if you come during busy hour. Most people seemed to be grabbing things to-go so not a huge issue. Overall — expect to pay around ~$ 12 for a Dolsot(Hot stone) Bibimbap that tastes fine, but not particularly wild. Very small inside and menu prices seem to have gone up.

Was perfect for what I was looking for. Small and quite place. I ordered the beef bibimbap and added mushrooms. I ate in the restaurant and seems all the patriots usually ordered the food to go. Will be going back to try other dishes! If you have never been: walk in and order from the counter. There will be a large menu that describes each dish. They take cash or card no extra charge over $ 10.

Tiny space, seating for about 12, bar style. Fast service, very fresh and tasty. Portions are very plentiful for the price. Would definitely come again. It’s probably really packed at lunch time, but was empty when I came in during evening rush.

I was only here once so far, but I am a fan. For being in downtown Seattle, it has decent priced entrees. This place is very authentic as well. The man behind the counter speaks little English, so you know its gunna be good…

SO dang convenient. Make sure to catch them on an off time otherwise you’ll be waiting a while. Only reason I’m rating 4 is because it feels like prices just keep on goin up… I know they are probably compensating for high rent or something to that effect, But it’s becoming increasingly less competitive with the other nearby locations. STILL gonna go here with some regularity, don’t get me wrong. Really tasty btw.

Small, but good place. Just a quick note, ask for the egg because it doesn’t come standard. The beef was a little over cooked for my preference. The beef bowl in general was a little dry, really light on the sauce. Plentiful in veggies which was delicious. There’s also wifi, but you’ll have to ask for the password.

Really good bibimbap! I tried the dolsot bibimbap with pork. The seasoning was good, the vegetables were good, the spiciness was good. I couldn’t find anything wrong with it. The Korean woman was pretty entertaining. People in the street would stop and look in the restaurant. She would try to encourage them inside. The décor… reminds me of those really small run down restaurants in Korean dramas but compact. There are a long table and chairs against the wall but I think most people just take food to go. I understand why the restaurant is so small. Rent is probably very expensive in the area!

Quick grab and go Korean spot. The place I think is run by a Korean couple. The lady that took my order was the sweetest. The place was about to close and they were cleaning up but she stopped to fix me a bibimbap. I had the kimchi bibimbap and the bowl was filled to the top with veggie toppings: kale, bean sprouts, carrots, broccoli, lettuce, cucumber, kimchi. I highly recommend it for a light and flavorful meal. It’s probably high in sodium but low fat and loaded with vegetables. They also serve meat options. It’s a hole in a wall so don’t come in with a group. There’s very limited bar seating.

Such a hidden gem in the downtown area. The lady that runs this place is such a sweet soul. Must haves are: –Dolsot Bibimbap. Make sure to let it set for a bit to get crispy rice at the bottom! –Onigiri, if it’s available

Simply amazing! I had the Japanese curry with beef. I about died! I love everything Korean and I have to try a Korean joint everywhere I go and we just happened to stumble across this place and gave it a go. Its super small and quaint, but the food gave you a punch of flavor. I had to try a bite from each friends dish! Haha. Seriously though, try this place out on Seattle. I fell in love!

More like 3.5 stars. My dish — yukgaejang — was good, but not great. I probably should have ordered the namesake, but wanted something warm while it was raining out. Full disclosure: my mom makes the world’s best yukgaejang, so it was a tall order. The soup was good, but the broth wasn’t as flavorful as one might expect. It was a good amount of spiciness. Also, I’ve never been to a Korean place that doesn’t offer at least a couple side dishes. No Korean meal is really complete without accompanying banchan, so I have to knock them down a star for that. But overall I enjoyed my meal — it hit the spot.

Found this little gem on Unilocal when trying to find new places for lunch for my office peeps and I! This place IS the definition of «hole-in-the-wall»!! Saying that this place is small is an understatement: it can maybe fit 8 people max, so my best advice when coming here for lunch is to either go at 11am or after 1pm to beat the weekday lunch rush. So I got: — Dul Sot Bibimbap(beef) — Spicy Pork Onigiri The Bibimbap was pretty legit and for me when I eat bibimbap it is ALWAYS with the stone pot because sometimes the rice burns a little bit on the bottom and makes it nice and crunchy(some of you guys know what I’m talkin’ about!!). I was surprised with the amount of Japanese foods here(e.g. onigiris, Japanese curry, and udon). These are totes comfort foods, and when sitting inside the shop I felt like I was back in a ramen shop in Japan *tbt* The spicy pork onigiri was alright, but I don’t they used the actual sticky rice that you are supposed to use for rice balls because the onigiri was not packed very tight. Flavor, however, was decent with a good spicy kick for those who like their rice balls hot. A friend had the salmon rice bowl, and I tried it. The fish was fresh and the dish had a good balance of salmon, rice, and veggies(unlike Red Bowl). Speaking of comfort foods, this place has kimchi and sundubu jiigaes! Oh man so glad I found another Korean place! I’ll be back here soon — maybe next week :)
