Wow!!! That’s truly what can be said about Bhldn and the consultants there. I was in this last weekend for an appointment to find my wedding dress. There were so many beautiful options that I couldn’t wait to go even if that meant a bit of a trip from Portland. I could not be happier with my experience! Yuna is spectacular to work with and was so prepared and had many of my favorite dresses pulled before we even started. She was sweet and thoughtful and made the appointment feel easy and comfortable. I will recommend Bhldn to everyone I know! I’m happy to say I said «yes to the dress» and I couldn’t be more thrilled!

As I mentioned in my previous review, I had a great experience when I went to BHLDN the first time, which is why it was my go-​to spot when the wedding dress I ended up choosing fell through the cracks 10 days before my wedding.
A little back story, I ended up purchasing a dress from the Dress Theory after going back and forth between a backless number there and a more traditional dress at BHLDN. Six months later and only a week before my wedding, I was left with a disaster of an alterations process from the Dress Theory, no guarantee if my dress would fit the day-​of, and no option of trying my original dress on again until the day I had to leave for our destination nuptials. Talk about stressful!
After a tearful alterations appointment at The Dress Theory, my sister and mom convinced me that I should look into a backup gown just in case things with my first dress didn’t work out (and given my prior experience working with TDT, I wasn’t convinced they would). The thought was that I could order a dress from BHLDN and return it if I felt good about where my original dress stood.
My sister went online and found that BHLDN had an open appointment that evening, booked it immediately and then called to inform the salon of our time crunch and situation. I was literally BLESSED to get Yuna again for my dress trial and she made me feel so much more relaxed and comfortable about the whole process — she also REALLY remembered me. She had researched all the dresses that were available for overnight shipping and ALSO picked the dresses which she knew would require the least amount of alterations (as this was also a concern — could I find another seamstress to alter the dress and turn it around in less than a week if I needed them to?)
We tried on several gowns and it didn’t take long before I fell in love with a dress that was totally different than my original gown, but felt much more comfortable and like «me». Because of Yuna’s great suggestions, I felt 100 percent confident that the dress was going to fit great the day of and I didn’t have the same anxiety about the fit/​changes needed as I did with my first dress. I decided right then and there to step away from all the stress caused by the Dress Theory dress and go with the BHLDN option instead.
Yuna also went above-​and-​beyond and found several seamstresses for me that did rush appointments, ranking them and telling me which ones to call first to see if they could fit me in. She also waived the rush overnight shipping on my dress which was AMAZING considering I was now shelling out for TWO dresses on a one-​dress budget and assured me that the dress would arrive on time.
True to her word, the dress and belt (something we added for a little vintage sparkle) showed up the next day in perfect condition and in plenty of time for my new alterations appointment. I went with a seamstress they recommended and I’m anxiously awaiting the final product, but I have no doubt it’ll be perfect for my big day next weekend.
Honestly, I don’t know what I would have done if BHLDN and Yuna hadn’t been there when everything fell apart. I am so so so thankful for her wonderful help and positive attitude and their willingness to help me find a perfect option — even if I was planning to return it later (my original thought). I would not hesitate to recommend BHLDN and Yuna to anyone looking for a great (and fun!) wedding dress experience — even in the face of a prior dress disaster. :) I can’t wait to wear my new gown!

This place is lovely. The atmosphere, the décor, the dresses… And the staff. I had Maria as my dress consultant and I feel like I’ve made a new friend. She was warm, supportive, professional, mellow and made me feel at ease and comfortable. The whole experience was just magical.

I bought my wedding dress from BHLDN and have only had great experiences working with all the lovely staff. They are all very attentive and polite. I scheduled an appointment to try on dresses and worked with Yuna, who was totally sweet and helped guide me throughout the process. She also gave me honest feedback on what was the most flattering dress that was within my price point. The dresses at this store are one of a kind and can accommodate most budgets. It was initially hard to narrow down all the beautiful choices, but with the help of any wedding specialist, you can definitely find that one special dress.

I am NOT your typical girl in the way that I’ve fantasized about my wedding since I was a little girl. In fact, my fiancé and I had knock-​down-​drag-​out fights about having a wedding at all — as I was hoping we could just run off to a sandy beach in the tropics and elope. I literally DREADED going dress shopping so I made my appointment here at BHLDN with some trepidation. Once I got checked in and was introduced to my stylist, Meghan, all my trepidation instantly disappeared. Meghan was SUCH a doll — she put me at ease right away. She had pre-​pulled the items I had listed I was interested in, along with some others she thought I might like. My future MIL and SIL sat on the cute, cozy sofas awaiting my first choice. The entire process was so painless — dare I say I even enjoyed a lot of it! By the end of my appointment I was torn between two choices — the first being the ensemble I had been COVETING from the website and the other, a gown I didn’t even have on my list, but Meghan thought I might like. I left the store without ordering either because I needed some more time to think. Meghan was super low pressure and assured me either one I picked would be perfect. My in-​laws and I headed out to get some lunch and a couple glasses of wine to allow me time to think it over. When I finally made my decision, we walked back over to the store to give Meghan my order and we all happily toasted my purchase with a tiny can (SO CUTE!) of complementary champagne! Thank you, Meghan, for making my dress shopping experience fun and memorable!

I really didn’t have an experience like the rest of the ladies. I stalked all of the dresses online for weeks before my appointment. Since there aren’t many BHLDN stores, I had to travel to another state for a shopping experience for which I had very high expectations.
We arrived right on time and were greeted by a nice enough gal, and she said her boss would be «auditing» the appointment, which I understood to mean she was new. No problem. She had already pulled all the gowns I wanted to try, which was great and efficient. So we started!
Unfortunately my mom had to run back to the car, so I put on the first dress and wanted to wait for her to see it. As we browsed the store in the gown, the sales gal pointed out the time. «Just so you know for timing, we are already about a quarter of the way through the appointment.» Ummm ok, except I can’t not have my mom see a gown? So I was feeling a bit hurried, looking through the store waiting for her. (After actually purchasing my gown from a bridal boutique, I can say that the two appointments I had there, nobody EVER ONCE mentioned the time, they spent every minute with me and didn’t make me feel rushed at all, I even ran over on one of them)
I picked out a gown from the sale rack, in what I figured was my size. I’d never been gown shopping before so I didn’t know that there are «bridal sizes.» So the sales gal said that some gowns are regular sizes and some are bridal sizes. I grabbed an 8 because I had actually tried on a 6 in the Tamsin gown so I figured 8 would fit. Since I was already stressed for time, we took it back to the fitting room and she helped me get into it. Well, except I couldn’t get into it. I’m also 5’8 and the sales gal was maybe 5’3 and was struggling to get me into it, now I’m feeling like a huge cow and stressed for time, and nobody’s even seen me in anything. She’s trying to pull it down over my hips and it’s just not budging, so I finally said I give up. So now we’re struggling to get it OFF and I’m sweating, frustrated, and also feeling bad since my bridal party is sitting outside wondering what the hell is going on.
So my question is, as the salesperson, shouldn’t you know which gowns are bridal sizes and which ones are regular sizes? Why would you put me into an 8 if in bridal sizes it’s a 4? So that totally ruined the appointment, I was embarrassed and feeling totally wrong and un-​bridal. We tried on 2 more dresses but at that point I just wanted to leave.
I think we can chalk it up to inexperience, but after purchasing my actual gown at a real wedding boutique, I have to say this is clearly a retail store vs. a true bridal experience.
Oh, and like 6 out of the 10 sample gowns had really big rips and tears in them. The material and fabric is not up to par with designer gowns, yet the prices are not THAT significantly lower to make up for it.

I flew with my mom to Seattle to try on dresses from bhldn because I fell in love with one on line. my stylist was with kaitie and she made my dress experience magical. She knew exactly what to pair with the dresses to flatter my body type. I haven’t called yet but I’ll be putting in my order in for my dress with all her suggestions for accessories. I highly recommend this bhldn. the staff is so nice their selection is great. if you have a chance I’d ask for Katie! she really made the whole experience perfect!

I had my eye on a dress in their sale section that was close to sold out and called the store about it after making my appointment online. There was one dress left in my size so they ordered it for me with free express shipping and I got it the next day! I brought it with me to my to my appointment so I could try it on there and get the full experience with my mom, grandma, and MOH. It was the first dress I tried on, and amazing Yuna, my stylist knew it was the one. I tried on a few more, but stuck with the one I originally purchased. Even though I had already purchased my dress, I was still provided with great, attentive service! I’d recommend this store to all brides!

Words can simply not express how much I adore the bhldn team in Seattle. Specifically Yuna and Lacey are undeniably two of the sweetest souls on the planet! They are the most genuine and caring ladies who want nothing more than for your day to be perfect. I have never felt so welcomed in a retail setting before, and from day 1 they have helped me thoroughly make my vision for my wedding day outfit a complete reality. These two women are simply amazing and the rest of the team there is bar none.

My experience at BHLDN was magical.
My mom and future mother-​in-​law flew in for the weekend to go dress shopping with me. While researching shops to visit, I came across BHLDN, but there were no appointments available for the weekend I was hoping for. Even though I wouldn’t be able to try on bridal gowns without an appointment, I figured we could still browse the bridesmaid dresses to see what we find, which is what we did on Friday afternoon. I found a beautiful dress (Iva Crêpe Maxi) that the moms fell in love with, but it was hard for me to feel a connection without seeing it put together with a veil. Unfortunately, I not only left BHLDN empty-​handed that day, but also every other store we went to.
The next day, I figured it wouldn’t hurt to check the BHLDN website to see if there were any cancellations, and there was one that evening! I booked it immediately, excited to try on some of the gorgeous gowns I saw the day before, but mostly so I could try on the Iva Crêpe with a veil to see if that changed my view. At the start of my appointment, my stylist, Katie, had some gowns ready and let me pick a few more to try on. We started with the Iva Crêpe, and the second she put a veil on me, my eyes began to water. It went from a very pretty dress to a beautiful bridal gown. Not having the greatest experiences at other shops the day before, I wanted to try the other gowns, because I only get to do this once! Katie gave honest feedback, and knew exactly what to add to certain dresses to take them to the next level. I had a few more favorites, but the first dress was still the one to beat. After narrowing it down to my top two, it was time to revisit the Iva Crêpe…
I stepped onto the stool, admiring the dress, and Katie began walking to the back room saying, «Hold on, I have some more magic to add to this one». She came back with the Starry Skies Halo and tied it into my hair, weaving some pieces in and out, leaving my curls trailing down my shoulder. As she was doing this, I began to cry again, telling her that even though we had not talked about it at all, that was exactly how I envisioned my hair on my wedding day. She added the Ode to Spring Veil, and that was it. Katie handed me tissues and held me as I wiped away my tears. She had put together the absolute perfect outfit for me. I said yes to the dress, and Katie offered champagne to celebrate!
Shopping at BHLDN was everything I was hoping for, and more. Katie was an absolute doll! She was an incredible stylist and made my search much easier than I thought it would be! I could not have been happier with the store, I could not have been happier with Katie, and I could not have been happier with my dress. I can’t wait to get married in it!

I was in Seattle for vacation and my friend suggested we stop here since — surprisingly — there is no bhldn in the Bay Area. I was not exactly dreading this but I was a bit nervous. Standing on a pedestal in front of strangers in formal dress while your appearance is evaluated is WEIRD.
All this to say, the lady that helped me — Yuna– was absolutely amazing. I felt a little awkward being at the top of the size range and just generally flustered by the whole thing but she was very calming! She read my mind when I had found MY dress and she absolutely understood why the ones that weren’t working for me weren’t working. Not saying this will happen to everyone, but my dress was half my budget, not at all what I expected and it is beautiful!

Just got my wedding dress at BHLDN. I cannot recommend Yuna enough! She was super nice and friendly, and she made me feel like a bride for the first time even though I have been trying dresses in other places. I love the dress I got but more importantly, I had a once-​in-​a-​life-​time experience with Yuna’s help.

Love the cute little things in this store! But this review really goes out to Julia (bridal stylist and manager) :) I just walked in to see a couple of things I had seen online to see if it was right for me.
After making it the second floor of Anthropologie, which is were BHLDN is, Julia was the first to see me and helped me the whole time I was there. She was very knowlegable about the bridal gowns and the stores products. I recently bought my bridal gown here and she knew exactly what I was talking about and able to tell me about pieces that would go well with the dress :) I felt that she genuinely was there to help me and make sure I found what I was looking for.
The atmosphere of this place is very lovely as well :)

I had a great experience trying on dresses with Yuna yesterday evening. BHLDN was my first stop since getting engaged, so I had very little idea of what I liked and what looked good on me. Yuna was SO prepared: all of the dresses I requested online were already pulled and she’d looked at my venue online and pulled a few more that she thought would be a good fit.
I couldn’t get any friends to come with me last-​minute, but Yuna snapped a ton of pictures from multiple angles. She was so thoughtful about every dress she pulled and accommodating when I spotted a dress about halfway through the session that I wanted to put on quickly. I got to try on both my favorites again at the end as well. I felt completely at ease with her despite the obvious awkwardness of being nearly butt naked with someone you just met five minutes ago.
There was no hard sell at the end, just a realistic look at how many dresses they had left in my size and what it would take to get my hands on one before they ran out. That’s the only thing I wish they would change: one of the dresses I tried on only came in a sample size 12, and I’m more like a 0 – 2. I couldn’t really see how it would look on me without ordering it at full price and having the option of returning for free within 30 days. I was tempted, but it’s tough to put down $ 2,000 for a couple of weeks just to see if you’ll like a dress better fitted.
This didn’t affect my star rating because my overall experience was AWESOME, and that’s probably a corporate policy that one Unilocal review won’t be able to change. However, BHLDN corporate, if you’re reading: having every dress in a sample size 6 and a size 12 would be a huge improvement. The size 12 was baggy even after being clipped on and who knows, I might have fallen in love with it if I could see what the final product would look like.
I don’t know if it’s possible to request a stylist, but if you can, I would ask for Yuna again in a heartbeat.

Absolutley wonderful!
I visited BHLDN with an appointment in October to look at a few dresses for my wedding in August. The consultant was awaiting my arrival and had already pulled all of the dresses I was interested in. Once we hit the fitting room, she was very helpful getting me into the dresses and made me feel comfortable (which is not always the case). When I stepped out to show my bridesmaids each dress, she offered great feedback about fit, appropriate accessories and potentially better options for my budget and wishes.
I knew BHLDN had gorgeous dresses, but I was didn’t expect to find the dress of my dreams in that appointment. Of course the dresses all looked gorgeous online with models showing them off, but I was concerned they wouldn’t flow right with my size 10 frame. Lucky for me each and every dress I tried was flattering, and well made. By the end of my appointment I found exactly what I was looking for, a classy lace dress with a subtle mermaid fit. And I was even more dumbfounded that the dress was $ 600! I am a dealhunter and I was almost jumping for joy at how affordable the dress was.
Once I made up my mind, I let the saleswoman know that I would come back another day to show my Mom and get her thoughts. She told me that there was only one dress in my size left in the nation and advised that I order it at that time, and use the 30 day free return policy to think about it. Without question, I ordered the dress. My bridesmaids and I were then shocked when the saleswoman offered us glasses of champagne to celebrate my purchase!
When the dress arrived at my house, I showed my Mom and she was in awe. I couldn’t be happier with my dress and I can’t wait to wear it in August!
Fast forward to TODAY, I called to ask whether my mom would need an appointment to try on Mother of the Bride dresses. The customer service representative was very professional and let me know that we could come by anytime. I then asked if she could check if they had a few dresses in stock (that I knew my mom was partial to). She wrote down all 6 of the dress names and my Mom’s size. She then took down my name and phone number and let me know that she would call me back with some information about what they had in stock.
With closing less than 30 minutes away at that point, I was sure I wouldn’t get a call until tomorrow but she called me back 5 minutes later with the availability of every dress!
Needless to say I LOVE BHLDN. Their dresses are unique and stunning, and their customer service — both in person and over the phone — is second to none. Don’t bother with David’s Bridal, ladies! Visit BHLDN, downtown! You won’t regret it!

Just recently got engaged in November and have been looking into dresses. BHLDN has been the location I have been looking forward to even before I got engaged! But from my experience, I’m not too fond of it and will probably not buy my dress here. This location was my second consultation. I went to David’s Bridal and they were phenomenal even though the quality of dresses aren’t too great. I work over in Issaquah and rushed over after but unfortunately due to unusual high amount of traffic and no parking, I was about 5 minutes late which I didn’t think it was too bad.
I come in, I was introduced to my consultant Alisha. My bridesmaids were also just about to walk in and she got me into trying my first dress. She didn’t explain to me the process, just grabbed a dress and told me to start undressing. I was a bit uncomfortable when she didn’t even allow any privacy. But thankfully I’m not too shy.
I don’t know if it was because I was late or something but it just seemed like she wasn’t interested or annoyed and it was very awkward/​silent in between changing. I didn’t feel special which made me less interested in any of the dresses. She wasn’t interactive at all and just stood there which made it difficult to talk about the whole experience with my bridesmaids just because I felt judged. It was extremely rushed and we were literally just in and out. Don’t get me wrong, she was very friendly but the service can improve.
I regret to say but I would rather go back to David’s Bridal and purchase a dress from them just because they provided me with such a joyful first experience than here.

I was really disappointed with my experience here last week. I have been looking forward to wearing a BHLDN dress since before I was engaged and I was so excited for my appointment. However, my consultant made me feel rushed, helped me get into the dress but then disappeared into a back room until it was time for the next dress, didn’t ask what I was looking for in a dress or give me any direction when I explained what I did actually want. We were never offered champagne. She seemed annoyed when I wanted to try a dress on a second time once I had it narrowed down to two.
I really hope it was just my particular consultant. Perhaps she’s just inexperienced and will get better with time.

I had a great experience here! The only reason I give it 3 stars is because my expectations were a bit higher from hearing other peoples experiences. We didn’t get champagne like someone mentioned they did, and I kind of felt a bit rushed — but all in all, it was a great experience and the gal who helped me was delighful. The dress selection is absolutely dreamy. Unfortunately the one I fell in love with was a bit out of my budget, but they have gorgeous dresses for great prices. Along with accessories, and bridesmaid dresses as well. I know I’ll return with my maids so they can try on some gowns! :D

When we landed at BHLDN we were on day two of my daughters wedding dress search. A lousy store owner had kind of squelched the experience the day before. That was all erased in the first two minutes of being in BHLDN. We were greeted promptly and then introduced to, Yuna. She understood immediately what my daughter was looking for in a dress, pulled only dresses in our budget, offered suggestions and styling ideas.
It was a wonderful experience. Next time I would go directly to BHLDN, ask for Yuna and forgo any other wedding dress shop!

So on the search for my wedding dress I made an appointment to try dresses on at BHLDN. They have such a cute dressing area for the bridal wear. Yuna helped me out today and was absolutely wonderful. She pulled the dresses I requested and also walked through the other dresses with me to see if I wanted to try on any others. We then got to work trying on dresses. She was very helpful in getting in and out of dresses and styling each one with a belt or hair accessory. We did find a great contender but I ended up finding another dress that was even better. Definitely put BHLDN on your list when shopping for a wedding dress. You won’t regret it.
