History

Established in 1980.

Bellwether began in 1980 as Seattle Housing Resources Group with a mission to provide affordable apartments for low-​income employees in downtown Seattle. It now manages 30 buildings with 1,900 apartments, from Rainier Valley to Northgate, and provides safe, stable homes for 3,200 residents each year.

As of this date 6÷19÷2012 the broken elevator is being repaired and bids are being acquired to clean the ventilation ducts, YA Thank you. Also I would like to note that the resident manager is usually quite prompt at addressing issues that are within her capability to resolve. She also is personable and tries to treat the building like home and the residents like neighbors. D.S.

I’ve lived in two HRG buildings over the last 5 years. I was very happy with both. This is «Affordable Housing» which means the selection criteria can result in disappointment. The bottom line for me is if I’m going to rent, I want my money going to a nonprofit like HRG that keeps creating more affordable housing and it’s not going to turn into «market-​rate» housing like a lot of the other affordable housing in Seattle.
