History
Established in 2008.
BC Adventure Guides began with the desire to provide adventure and education to people seeking unique adventures to rarely traveled regions traveling by foot or skis to challenge both their body and mind.
Meet the Business Owner
Matt S.
Business Owner
As a risk management consultant, certified mountain guide, avalanche safety instructor and professional ski patroller, his work for the last sixteen years includes: program management, accreditation review, curriculum development, logistics, accident site investigation, avalanche control and guiding ski, rock and snow mountain trips. Matt has traveled on five continents and worked on many different international teams. He speaks French, Spanish, with working knowledge of Nepali, Chinese, and Korean.
Matt received his MBA in sustainable business at the Bainbridge Graduate Institute. His projects include working with remote communities to develop sustainable tourism and well as working with the travel industry on creating and implementing sustainable business practices.
Specialties include leading exotic and remote ski tours and climbing expeditions, curriculum and new program development, risk management, liability, logistics and long range planning.
